Solid advice. Its seems way too many RUclipsrs give bad advice selling a dream. After visiting SE Asia several times its about 1/3 the price of a Western Country. If it takes you $6,000 USD to survive here then expect to pay $2,000 in the Philippines. Then expect a $10,000 to $15,000 setup costs to get into a place, moving, scooter, cooking items, furniture, etc. Sure if you don't mind living in a bamboo hut and no indoor plumbing you can live for $600 and listen to roosters at 2am and fight bugs at all hours of the night. Otherwise expect to pay $1,500, $2,000 to $2,500 month depending on location and lifestyle. Then if you have a family or girlfriend that price jumps up by another $500 to $1,000 month. Its easy to see how someone that believes they can live off $600 or $800 month goes broke especially if they get a woman pregnant.
Well the RUclipsr Warren Redlich says his condo is $700 month there. I have a feeling that is 100% spot on. You're showing US prices so I don't buy all you information. If a dude goes there and gets a lady pregnant I agree with you 100%, game over.

I've done a little of it all but I'm also generally spending my time at historical locations and eating all the delicious food!
Either one, I'd at a minimum look into a guide. Not because you'd need one but because they're generally cheap. Most of the country speaks great English... But I feel like a guide would help with some of the things majorly(as far as transit, jeepneys, food, and general travel).
It's a great country. So many things to see and I've just barely scratched the surface. I didn't experience much culture shock during my visits but there are some parts of the country where lifestyle regularities are different from America in major ways.
?? Watch a lot of RUclipsrs. Then go take a trip for as long as you can afford / handle. Food can be terrible. Main thing is to see a divers number of places. You can leave in a modern secluded western bubble like BGC or Mac Newtown, or you can live amongst the people, but in a relatively westernized place in general Manila or Cebu, or you can live in a much more traditional Philippine neighborhood, etc. touristy islands are very different than non touristy islands, etc. boots on the ground totally required for proper assessment.
@@Truthdosentexist69 If you have sex there with a lady always use a condom. Just saying if she's pregnant you're about done.
Great video Mark, if you weren’t streetwise at home that’s OK but you’ll need to learn fast.
One thing I really noticed that you don't see large age gap relationship up north not like the central or southern Philippines where you will meet the poor girls that will give you the family problems
Bless them

Good guidance ❤
If you want to maintain your higher standard life style, you need at least $2M. Even 100k meant nothing. Younger generation think they can roam around on a low budget. Too much deception on social media. It ain't what you've expected.
Do you mean 2 million dollars? Only about 2% of Americans have savings (investments) of that amount. 80% of retirees (wealthiest subset) in U.S. have 200,000 or less. Ap. 50% have only SSI.
Always good advice and suggestions. Thanks!!!
talking about disabled vets and sayiing...you'd never know it to look at them...is apallingly ignorant. The emotional trauma of combat, can not be overstated. Just lost a sub for that one
Phillipines women may be rather pleasant hard working
But not very sexy you can see their character in their feet hard workers
You lost weight
I watch a u tuber "cartess Ross" he is in Mexico, this sounds like some people that show up there. Totally unprepared. He does consultations with people moving to mexico. "Move abroad and thrive" is his channel
Asian women, you need years to build up the trust, like knowing her ex
Maybe he's not there for various reasons
Those women will stand by you
Don't bet on it

I have a rental in a fillipino middleclass area
We get on fine introverts
Again as a kid l grew ip around Asian people you developed a certain temperament
A Chinese women a.e and stood meter away at a crossing l look at her and said where you from she said Singapore
Most western men would have closed in
I didn't in the ferry we stood opposite eye contact thru the cabin
I delay leaving so did she it was her at the end of about 75 people
I then had a chance to look at her from behind
She continued so on our separate ways
This was for the next time we cross each other
This is how discretely Asian women move especially the educated
Or wealthy ones
Social dynamics was at play here
And still when she fell behind still caution was taken because someone could still be behind her
In the Chinese Philosophy
