I'm just saying, Sun and Moon should've gotten a bigger role in SB. There are so many Sun and Moon fans out there, and I'm sure they would all agree with me. Sun is my favorite FNAF character, so I would have loved to see more of him.
Absolutely! Because it's not just a niche thing either. Everything about Sun and Moon, and their gimmick is spot-on perfect for FNAF. Just having a both endearing and off-putting animatronic who can randomly swap into loco maniac mode would've been a win-win in my book.

Ive actually heard and supported a few theories saying that there's a huge chance that the endo halls were where Vanny had Moon lure children to, considering the insane amounts of moon merch and bits as well as that padded area being uncannily close to the daycare in looks, also old Gregory subtitles regarding Moon as well as the trailer suggests that he was going to be able to not only crawl on floors, but climb and hang from walls. I haven't seen these animations til now and it's even MORE evidence for what Moon could have been, example: 2:47 and 1:37 helps support the idea Moon was able to crawl on walls (It is SO disappointing that doesn't happen in the finished because that would have made him so much more unsettling) as it shows him on all fours on a vertical surface. Also, the way that Moon acts in 1:45 ABSOLUTELY supports Moon helping to lure children away, Especially if its in the matenance halls like we are led to believe (where mind you, we also see an image of an ender surrounded by children vandalized with purple bunny ears) i mean- just look at it! The obvious "Come here" gesture followed by his trademark "sleepy" pose from his posters? Like- DUDE! Overall this is HELLA awesome! Thank you so much!
To support your theory, I'm thinking Moon was probably the first 'tronic infected with the virus. To be frank, I think he was infected before the events of the game. In a recent update, the devs added a small detail to the daycare -- a sudden layer of dust. The pizzaplex is *pristine* in places where visitors tend to go -- and the daycare would be no different. Seriously, a dusty ass daycare is a recipe for customer complaints. Faz Co. doesn't want that. However, if the daycare wasn't in use (and given that there's dust in the first place, it probably hasn't been in use for some time), they wouldn't have any incentive to actually keep the place clean since no one's been in it. Dust aside, the fact that there are *emergency light generators* in the daycare is also hella telling -- I mean, wires everywhere? That's a recipe for a lawsuit. Backup light generators... pretty obvious that the company *doesn't want Moon to come out.* Why else have emergency light generators? Sun himself is clearly aware that something's up with Moon, given his panic about the lights turning off. Hell, even Freddy's alarmed when the lights turn off -- he immediately tells Gregory to turn the lights back on and *where* the lights are. He *doesn't* sound calm. It wouldn't surprise me if the other animatronics were aware that something was wrong with Moon. (Though, could that be why Freddy lowkey dehumanizes Sun and Moon -- only referring to them as the "Daycare Attendant" and calling them an it? Hm.) There's also that review from the parent about their son being terrified of sleeping in the dark, which uh... nothing else needs to be said. Clearly Moon's been doing some freakish shit before the events of SB. It's implied that Vanny's been doing her little... gig for a while now, if the prior disappearances are anything to go by. It wouldn't be far-fetched to think that she'd corrupted Moon and got him to do her dirty work before Faz Co. caught on that Moon's AI was wack and decided to isolate him (and by extension, Sun) in the daycare to try and figure things out. I dunno. I like the idea. Tragic, though. Both for the children and for Moon himself. And Sun, too. Poor guy's been quarantined for something he had nothing to do with.

I think the same as well, I had no clue about the dust update but I've had the idea the daycare was closed before the game begins for a while, after all, one of the best targets for a hacking is one of the side animatronics; more then a staff bot, less than a Glamrock Moon is sadly perfect for it too, hes already creepy as is,so more complaints isnt a huge deal, Naptime's an extended period of darkness where nobody without night vision or a flashlight can see, so if the cameras are down there no witnesses, and sleepy kids full of Moondrops being easer to lead away Imagine leaving your kids at the daycare one day, then you come back after nap time and one is just- gone, marked missing and never found This game has so much potential and I'm mad the DA's didn't get the screen time they deserve

Not to mention while they're at their most vulnerable -- asleep. No one would see any reason to distrust Moon. So what if Moon's voice is weird? He hugged me when I had a nightmare! He sang me a lullaby. So what if Moon's a little twitchy? He hid a quarter under my little sibling's pillow after they lost their tooth! He takes care of my little sibling. In the minds of these children, they were following their caretaker, their trusted adult -- not someone infected with a horrible virus. It would also make sense that Vanny took Moon first if the whole he-is-also-a-security-bot theory was true. After all, if you were a child murderer, the *last* thing you'd want is security finding you, right? Moon could knock down Freddy. He could absolutely take down Vanny.

In my opinion, I think the unused animation is just an scrapped animation for moon leading you to the stage after vanessa says to go check the main stage, though, this could have a chance to be part of an ending idea that was scrapped, I remember someone having an idea about an "worst ending" where you would be able to decommission moon and DJ music man, but then, freddy becomes evil and you would have to decommission him.
OH THANK GOD!! I'm not the only who noticed the whole warehouse section was completely off and also felt like Moon was supposed to be there. And I believed that was supposed to be in the theater too, like why put that tower there if it doesn't do anything and Moon never appears there. Tbh sun and moon really needed more screen time especially sun since sun just gets the daycare part and then all he does is just say security alert when you try to get back in, I am saying this not because I favourite sun and moon but because it’s just true, moon could definitely use some other times to be around besides the hourly night time stuff and sun.. well sun needs more screen time in general because as I said, sun only gets the 2 times I listed and then he is completely useless to the journey, like at least moon became someone who would drop in to make it not always safe every hour. I think like even them getting their own decommissioned segment would be better for them!
I definitely agree. It feels like there should've been a sort of climax to it- like they had the set up in the daycare and the continuation in the hourly events, but then no finish. No last hurrah.
I remember finding it odd that there were so many references to Moon/the daycare in the Parts and Service section. Moon might've been originally planned to be there. Same thing with the daycare theater basement, it could've been a good place to put Sun or Moon instead of the endos. The Kid's Cove area also could've played a larger role with Sun/Moon and the daycare (I know the area was themed around Foxy but the area connected directly to the daycare, as hinted by the "banned" signs after getting kicked out by Sun). Steel Wool must've been forced to cut a lot of things due to time constraints :(. I wonder what kind of game we would've gotten if they were given more time.
clicking sound/tick tock did remind me of moon/sun aswell when heard trailer theme to. which made me think moon or sun would have had a bigger role. and big clue, is if you go to the basement where afton is, there is bed sheet with moon cover sheets, and a balloon boy arcade game. similar to princess quest. had to play all 3 games to unlock ending. with balloon boy game linking to sun and moon. made me think moon would eclipse back into working security mode as intended. and destroy afton in the basement. since it's hinted moon not fully controlled, even when glitch. or vanny wouldn't need to cloak herself from him. so would been cool seeing moon destroy afton, if that is real hint to fixing moon. since he and sun where designed to protect the children.
I think this is legit evidence, and I think that you are right. If moon got destroyed it really would have made sense because it would make Gregory realize that the other animatronics could be destroyed. that makes more sense instead of Gregory starting to destroy them immediately. Every one thinks this character is awesome. I was sold immediately when I saw it in the trailers and he would crawl around everywhere and look really menacing. It was really disappointing to have him not do the things he did in the trailer like crawl in the kitchen, jump around on the play structures, and crawl through the slides. that would have been awesome. There is definitely cut content for the sun and moon.
I've been thinking about it recently, and I think there's a possibility that the first upgrade Freddy was supposed to get was from the Daycare Attendant. If you think about it, it's really weird that Freddy is damaged in Parts and Service, then gets a random 'power' upgrade (which also attaches his head), and then Gregory just decides to upgrade him with parts from other animatronics. If Gregory had gotten a part from the DA to fix Freddy, a lot of those plotpoints might've flowed together better- but I can't prove anything.

2:57 that animation is used, in fact it made me realize that in the moon boss battle the generators activate different phases by activating them. in the first moon he only walks, in the second he starts to fly (or sometimes he flies in the first and in the second nothing happens), in the third he gets into the games, in the fourth he runs (as in that animation and also on all fours) and on the fifth I still can't verify what's happening
Not to mention their room!? And the balloon world game? THE GLITCH? At least we got a eclipse in the ruin. But also- the fact that the glitch is just on the ceiling in their room in ruin- also, theres a lot of stuff in their room in ruin, with and without mask. Idk
Your mention of the industrial washing machine... gives me a few extra crazy thoughts: *1. The Music-* I definitely think the clicks in Sleep No More, Venta Black (and the office teasers) perfectly match Moon/Sun's clicks to a tee. I've read people on the videos of these songs say they think it'd fit an Afton or endo section; saying the clicks could be dragging chains- however Afton & the endos do not make that clicking sound. Those clicks are a sound that's exclusively unique to the Daycare Attendant. And with the washing machine idea... Alongside the Daycare Attendant's clicks in Sleep No More, I can absolutely hear what sounds like the heavy churns of a washing machine happening at the same time as their movement sounds. Once the instrumental motif in it starts, it almost seems like there's crunching/ breaking sounds underneath it. Near the end of Sleep No More, after there's a reeling and a crash- and, well... y'know the circular sound of your laundry tossing around/ hitting the inside of the machine? That, but... replace it with the Daycare Attendant's sound. Their mechanisms don't usually sound that fast, so it really sounds.. well. With that heavier "washing machine" sound alongside it; I have a _very_ gruesome image in mind. The song Venta Black feels darker. Less intense, but still moody. Both of these songs have new remix names as well- "Sleep No More" is called "Phantogeusia" (defined as "A lingering, usually unpleasant, taste without the associated stimulus." _-The NCI_ ); and "Venta Black" is called "Snap! Goes The SFinal Chord" (Confirmed by Leon Riskin to be a pun of "spinal cord" and "final chord" combined). I have two ideas about when these could've played/ in what order. _Idea 1:_ If Snap! Goes The SFinal Chord were played first; the name could hint towards this being the final moments before the Daycare Attendant is decommissioned (a final chord is a musical chord that represents an ending). The slow, yet dramatic tone contributing to the feelings of what's to come for the Daycare Attendant; possibly playing while Gregory is in the theater trying to escape from Moon- Phantogeusia being what plays immediately after, with the Daycare Attendant now in the washing machine. The lingering taste after their last normal moments. _Idea 2:_ If the songs were the other way around, the energy of Phantogeusia fits the feelings of trying to escape being hunted by Moon and forcing him into the washing machine; Leaving Snap! Goes the SFinal Chord to play immediately afterwards instead, it's tone feeling like what you'd hear after such an event. While the order of these songs work both ways, The first option seems to make more sense due to the meaning of the names (Snap! Goes The SFinal chord playing first; Phantogeusia playing second). *2. The silent presence of the Daycare Attendant-* There's so many hints of him all over the pizzaplex (as you mentioned) that it really seems like they should have a bigger role with all these hints; especially in parts & services. Mazercize is another spot with daycare themed items (all the soft blocks piled outside mazercize, and right after walking in. It's probably just a coincidence that those're there, but it's still odd for daycare blocks to be there. *3. The other animatronics-* All the animatronics have ironic decommissions: - Chica by a trash compactor (she eats trash) - Roxy's eyes removed & beauty destroyed (She stared at herself) - Monty broken in half (he breaks things) - If the theory about Bonnie being destroyed by Monty is true, then Bonnie was destroyed by aggression (Bonnie is one of the most aggressive) And so... If the Daycare Attendant were to be decommissioned via washing machine; what is he known for? Cleaning up. _(Edit- I've started making an animation of this lol; when it's eventually done I'll definitely include the link to your video!)_

The reason moon has so many unused animations is becuase he was orignally suposed to climb on walls, There was a voice line that was removed in the February patch when moon catches you on the lift in the showtime area That has gregory saying, Oh no! What times is it? That moon things going to get me! There! On the wall!

I mean, it is very possible... Considering all the cut content and music tracks you can clearly tell much has been cut. It would not be crazy to say Moon/Sun could have had a boss fight. Also it is such a shame they excluded so many great tracks and remixes from the game, one of my favourites is probably the: Invincibility track. I love Security Breach ALOT, and I think it is a great game, but it clearly was unfinished. Also the Moon animation on 3:09 was from a trailer.
idk if we'd actually *destroy* Moon like the other animatronics, but he def had a bigger role in Parts & Service that got cut interesting thing to note - one of Freddy's unused voicelines confirms that originally the security office is where you'd get the *map* for Parts & Service, not the key to the repair chamber you must have originally gotten the key from somewhere else in the endo tunnels...perhaps by defeating Moon in a "boss fight"
i watched several videos on cut content and i can safely say that i among all of them, a serious boss battle with moon would have been so much apprecciated especially because he and sun both make exceptional enemies/threats that could have been shelled out way more hell i think they have so much potential for how detailed and particular their functionalities are that all the conctent that could have been made out of them could be considered a smaller game on its own and i am absolutely not asking for that, but they really deserved more sections into this game, and the game as a whole needed more time for development, like years more of time
something else i noticed: the endos behave in a very similar way to sun/moon. when you shine your flashlight at them (or maybe just when you look at them i don’t remember) they freeze and are harmless. the light makes them safe, just like moon. (also wasn’t there a cut “flashlight freeze” thing hidden in the code? maybe i’m just imagining things)
I actually found the music to fit really well with this cut content. I honestly feel like a part 2 to the daycare Moon bossfight would've been really creepy. However, there's is still something wrong with the Daycare Attendant even if this theory isn't true. May I bring your attention to Eclipse aka the glitched version of Sun in the Balloon World minigame. Eclipse seems like he was trying to hint to a dark truth about the Daycare Attendant but it never went anywhere. Not only that but Sun seems to have a handprint on his chest if you look at him the right way. There's soooo much weird stuff about The Daycare Attendant as you can clearly see that it's honestly kinda disturbing. I hope we get to see him more in the Ruin. Makes me re-think that the red eyes in the corner of the Ruin teaser are Blob's.

However, I am so SO glad Gregory did not destroy him. I think they made a mistake cutting anything out of the game related to the Daycare Attendant, but they probably didn't know just how popular he would be. It is true, practically everyone loves him from what I've seen. Maybe they might put it back in the Ruin DLC? I don't know. They would have to change his appearance in the animations if they did. If that theory of a Moon boss battle/dismantle is true, then I'm happy it wasn't finished, Gregory already ruined the others, I like Sun and Moon too much for Gregory to get his hands on them.
But I would've loved to have this Moon/Endo location encounter, it makes sense. Just without Sun/Moon getting destroyed. It's always bothered me that Gregory never even considers if Freddy's friends could be saved from the virus(maybe putting them into Safe Mode like Freddy?)
3:02 that's actually an animation from the original trailer! Moon appears briefly in a kitchen setting, crawling on the top left corner of the screen. I'm unsure why it's still in the files, but it could either be a load-bearing animation or they simply created the cinematic scenes in game, recorded, and left the files there lol

That's a good theory about the moon being killed in the giant industrial washing machine like it could be a boss right were you would continuouly lure moon close to a washing machine flip it on and shove his cable in there because for like 2 times moon gets lucky and the power was cut off maybye vanny trying to get Gregory killed by moon or something then the 3rd time it doesn't work and moon gets caught in the washing machine and gets like fried or something not to when he is dead but temporarily out of order for the rest of the hour and you take something from moon(such explains the power upgrade) a be more on to take down the other animatronic s
Another thing about the cut content that’s specifically related to the Daycare Attendant, is a Moon Plushie jumpscare that was supposed to be part of the unused Survival Mode. You can see it in the FNAF Wiki, including a gif of the jumpscare. I’m not quite sure how it would work or what purpose it would serve in the game if it wasn’t cut, but I think that it’s logical to think it might be something that we would see in the pitch-black, heavily Moon-themed daycare basement where you speculated the Daycare Attendant was supposed to be shattered. I’m surprised nobody ever mentions this Moon Plushie jumpscare, maybe it was supposed to make the daycare basement segment more difficult like the lack of towers that were supposed to be used to distract Moon.
I’ve had this theory that Gregory is a robot and used to be used to help sun/moon get on with kids. you can see when you decommision monty thay he already has freddy shoes and they dont look like the ones that are sold in the stores. there is a cut voiceline for freddy where he says “i remember you from the-“ and then he glitches out. I am confident that he was going to say the daycare as you dont used the word “ the”in any other attraction in the pizzaplex. and also, the secret room kn top of the daycare has two rooms. the big on and the small one. im convinced thrat the small one was for gregory and the big one was for moon/sun
3:13 This one was actaully in the trailer for sb, or one of them. Moon can be seen crawling uptop on the cabinets and other various kitchen things, because apparently he was meant to be in the kitchen at one point.
I hated the Daycare mission (because I was playing it on a really low performance pc and it took me two days) but I can imagine seeing Moon getting more screen time since it was just that and every hour. Not gonna lie, I would've liked to decommissioned Moon. I also really like the unused animations - so much hard word for basically nothin, huh.
i feel like the moon wouldn't get destroyed, in the freddy on tour episode 2 it says: '' We're jumpin' and a-rockin' till the sun goes down, And the moon is shinin' ... forever and ever `` so what I think would've happened was that gregory would accidentally do something to unleash eclipse/ the moon, as i think eclipse is moon, plus in this case solar eclipses occur when the moon blocks the sun from the earths view. it would make a lot of sense.
None of these moon animations are cut by the way. There are all in game and only appear during the power out sequences at the end of every hour where you have to get to a recharge station. They have been in the game since launch/ first patch update and the hanging upside down one can appear on the rockstar row stage and the waving his finger to us can appear in hallways, around boxes in the storage area at rockstar row and a few other places
They actually weren't in at launch. Some of them were patched in later. Some of them I have heard have been seen but have seen no evidence of. The issue is, many of them are only in areas you will not enter into during the power outages. For example, Moon sometimes appears in the show stage, but when the power goes out you are two steps away from Chica's recharge station, and even going to Freddy's wouldn't take you to the area. Plus, if you wait too long then Moon automatically jumpscares you, meaning it isn't beneficial to wander.
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 I know most of them did not appear on the day 1 build as I did not encounter any and neither did others. But after the first major patch update where they added a recharge station after 6am, they added in all the moon animations. The sprinting one was there since Day 1 but went completely unused but some of them were freshly added after the first patch and were indeed used. But it was not worth going to get them/ find them as there was no point. A recharge station was usually right beside the player when this happened so not many players ended up encountering them. Especially since some changes were not always recorded on the patch notes
So Since, you said that he was Ment to lower you in parts and service and see what’s he wants to show you he’s probably gonna show you one of his experiments or what has he done with Freddy and I think when we went in the charging station freddy was ment to hide then you see him and moon comes back and takes him into the storage and another thing moon was probably telling you to come here to have you do his bidding.
Yeah it's a few years between Ruin and SB but it doesn't make sense how he'd lose a leg and have half his face smashed off. I wonder if maybe people broke in and vandalised him which is kinda sad to imagine...

I like to think that moon would be more of a victim role without the cut content and if he does get torn to pieces like the rest of them gregory would be crying or I'm imagining he's the only of them actually resisting Vannys influence and that's why he got so much merchandise and I see evidence of this with the fact that he just shushes gregory when he sees him or the fact there's no animation of him actually getting destroyed or maybe this is just me being hopeful I don't like how many introverts,nightowl and mentally ill people they take a crqp on by just strait up making him evil. To support your theory, I'm thinking Moon was probably the first 'tronic infected with the virus.
To be frank, I think he was infected before the events of the game. In a recent update, the devs added a small detail to the daycare -- a sudden layer of dust. The pizzaplex is *pristine* in places where visitors tend to go -- and the daycare would be no different. Seriously, a dusty ass daycare is a recipe for customer complaints. Faz Co. doesn't want that. However, if the daycare wasn't in use (and given that there's dust in the first place, it probably hasn't been in use for some time), they wouldn't have any incentive to actually keep the place clean since no one's been in it. Dust aside, the fact that there are *emergency light generators* in the daycare is also hella telling -- I mean, wires everywhere? That's a recipe for a lawsuit. Backup light generators... pretty obvious that the company *doesn't want Moon to come out.* Why else have emergency light generators? Sun himself is clearly aware that something's up with Moon, given his panic about the lights turning off. Hell, even Freddy's alarmed when the lights turn off -- he immediately tells Gregory to turn the lights back on and *where* the lights are. He *doesn't* sound calm. It wouldn't surprise me if the other animatronics were aware that something was wrong with Moon. (Though, could that be why Freddy lowkey dehumanizes Sun and Moon -- only referring to them as the "Daycare Attendant" and calling them an it? Hm.) There's also that review from the parent about their son being terrified of sleeping in the dark, which uh... nothing else needs to be said. Clearly Moon's been doing some freakish shit before the events of SB.
It's implied that Vanny's been doing her little... gig for a while now, if the prior disappearances are anything to go by. It wouldn't be far-fetched to think that she'd corrupted Moon and got him to do her dirty work before Faz Co. caught on that Moon's AI was wack and decided to isolate him (and by extension, Sun) in the daycare to try and figure things out. I dunno. I like the idea. Tragic, though. Both for the children and for Moon himself. And Sun, too. Poor guy's been quarantined for something he had nothing to do with.

Moon is sadly perfect for it too, hes already creepy as is,so more complaints isnt a huge deal, Naptime's an extended period of darkness where nobody without night vision or a flashlight can see, so if the cameras are down there no witnesses, and sleepy kids full of Moondrops being easer to lead away
Imagine leaving your kids at the daycare one day, then you come back after nap time and one is just- gone, marked missing and never found
This game has so much potential and I'm mad the DA's didn't get the screen time they deserve

He sang me a lullaby. So what if Moon's a little twitchy? He hid a quarter under my little sibling's pillow after they lost their tooth! He takes care of my little sibling. In the minds of these children, they were following their caretaker, their trusted adult -- not someone infected with a horrible virus.
It would also make sense that Vanny took Moon first if the whole he-is-also-a-security-bot theory was true. After all, if you were a child murderer, the *last* thing you'd want is security finding you, right? Moon could knock down Freddy. He could absolutely take down Vanny.

In my opinion, I think the unused animation is just an scrapped animation for moon leading you to the stage after vanessa says to go check the main stage, though, this could have a chance to be part of an ending idea that was scrapped, I remember someone having an idea about an "worst ending" where you would be able to decommission moon and DJ music man, but then, freddy becomes evil and you would have to decommission him.

Tbh sun and moon really needed more screen time especially sun since sun just gets the daycare part and then all he does is just say security alert when you try to get back in, I am saying this not because I favourite sun and moon but because it’s just true, moon could definitely use some other times to be around besides the hourly night time stuff and sun.. well sun needs more screen time in general because as I said, sun only gets the 2 times I listed and then he is completely useless to the journey, like at least moon became someone who would drop in to make it not always safe every hour. I think like even them getting their own decommissioned segment would be better for them!
I definitely agree. It feels like there should've been a sort of climax to it- like they had the set up in the daycare and the continuation in the hourly events, but then no finish. No last hurrah.

I remember finding it odd that there were so many references to Moon/the daycare in the Parts and Service section. Moon might've been originally planned to be there. Same thing with the daycare theater basement, it could've been a good place to put Sun or Moon instead of the endos. The Kid's Cove area also could've played a larger role with Sun/Moon and the daycare (I know the area was themed around Foxy but the area connected directly to the daycare, as hinted by the "banned" signs after getting kicked out by Sun). Steel Wool must've been forced to cut a lot of things due to time constraints :(. I wonder what kind of game we would've gotten if they were given more time.
clicking sound/tick tock did remind me of moon/sun aswell when heard trailer theme to. which made me think moon or sun would have had a bigger role. and big clue, is if you go to the basement where afton is, there is bed sheet with moon cover sheets, and a balloon boy arcade game. similar to princess quest. had to play all 3 games to unlock ending. with balloon boy game linking to sun and moon. made me think moon would eclipse back into working security mode as intended. and destroy afton in the basement. since it's hinted moon not fully controlled, even when glitch. or vanny wouldn't need to cloak herself from him. so would been cool seeing moon destroy afton, if that is real hint to fixing moon. since he and sun where designed to protect the children.
I think this is legit evidence, and I think that you are right. If moon got destroyed it really would have made sense because it would make Gregory realize that the other animatronics could be destroyed. that makes more sense instead of Gregory starting to destroy them immediately. Every one thinks this character is awesome. I was sold immediately when I saw it in the trailers and he would crawl around everywhere and look really menacing. It was really disappointing to have him not do the things he did in the trailer like crawl in the kitchen, jump around on the play structures, and crawl through the slides. that would have been awesome. There is definitely cut content for the sun and moon.
I've been thinking about it recently, and I think there's a possibility that the first upgrade Freddy was supposed to get was from the Daycare Attendant. If you think about it, it's really weird that Freddy is damaged in Parts and Service, then gets a random 'power' upgrade (which also attaches his head), and then Gregory just decides to upgrade him with parts from other animatronics. If Gregory had gotten a part from the DA to fix Freddy, a lot of those plotpoints might've flowed together better- but I can't prove anything.

2:57 that animation is used, in fact it made me realize that in the moon boss battle the generators activate different phases by activating them. in the first moon he only walks, in the second he starts to fly (or sometimes he flies in the first and in the second nothing happens), in the third he gets into the games, in the fourth he runs (as in that animation and also on all fours) and on the fifth I still can't verify what's happening
Not to mention their room!? And the balloon world game? THE GLITCH? At least we got a eclipse in the ruin. But also- the fact that the glitch is just on the ceiling in their room in ruin- also, theres a lot of stuff in their room in ruin, with and without mask. Idk
Your mention of the industrial washing machine... gives me a few extra crazy thoughts:
*1. The Music-* I definitely think the clicks in Sleep No More, Venta Black (and the office teasers) perfectly match Moon/Sun's clicks to a tee. I've read people on the videos of these songs say they think it'd fit an Afton or endo section; saying the clicks could be dragging chains- however Afton & the endos do not make that clicking sound. Those clicks are a sound that's exclusively unique to the Daycare Attendant.
And with the washing machine idea... Alongside the Daycare Attendant's clicks in Sleep No More, I can absolutely hear what sounds like the heavy churns of a washing machine happening at the same time as their movement sounds. Once the instrumental motif in it starts, it almost seems like there's crunching/ breaking sounds underneath it.
Near the end of Sleep No More, after there's a reeling and a crash- and, well... y'know the circular sound of your laundry tossing around/ hitting the inside of the machine? That, but... replace it with the Daycare Attendant's sound. Their mechanisms don't usually sound that fast, so it really sounds.. well. With that heavier "washing machine" sound alongside it; I have a _very_ gruesome image in mind.
The song Venta Black feels darker. Less intense, but still moody. Both of these songs have new remix names as well- "Sleep No More" is called "Phantogeusia" (defined as "A lingering, usually unpleasant, taste without the associated stimulus." _-The NCI_ ); and "Venta Black" is called "Snap! Goes The SFinal Chord" (Confirmed by Leon Riskin to be a pun of "spinal cord" and "final chord" combined).
I have two ideas about when these could've played/ in what order.
_Idea 1:_ If Snap! Goes The SFinal Chord were played first; the name could hint towards this being the final moments before the Daycare Attendant is decommissioned (a final chord is a musical chord that represents an ending). The slow, yet dramatic tone contributing to the feelings of what's to come for the Daycare Attendant; possibly playing while Gregory is in the theater trying to escape from Moon- Phantogeusia being what plays immediately after, with the Daycare Attendant now in the washing machine. The lingering taste after their last normal moments.
_Idea 2:_ If the songs were the other way around, the energy of Phantogeusia fits the feelings of trying to escape being hunted by Moon and forcing him into the washing machine; Leaving Snap! Goes the SFinal Chord to play immediately afterwards instead, it's tone feeling like what you'd hear after such an event.
While the order of these songs work both ways, The first option seems to make more sense due to the meaning of the names (Snap! Goes The SFinal chord playing first; Phantogeusia playing second).
*2. The silent presence of the Daycare Attendant-* There's so many hints of him all over the pizzaplex (as you mentioned) that it really seems like they should have a bigger role with all these hints; especially in parts & services. Mazercize is another spot with daycare themed items (all the soft blocks piled outside mazercize, and right after walking in. It's probably just a coincidence that those're there, but it's still odd for daycare blocks to be there.
*3. The other animatronics-* All the animatronics have ironic decommissions:
- Chica by a trash compactor (she eats trash)
- Roxy's eyes removed & beauty destroyed (She stared at herself)
- Monty broken in half (he breaks things)
- If the theory about Bonnie being destroyed by Monty is true, then Bonnie was destroyed by aggression (Bonnie is one of the most aggressive)
And so... If the Daycare Attendant were to be decommissioned via washing machine; what is he known for? Cleaning up.

The reason moon has so many unused animations is becuase he was orignally suposed to climb on walls,
There was a voice line that was removed in the February patch when moon catches you on the lift in the showtime area

Hmm. I kinda find it hard to believe their story would be so in depth and coherent. I think this is a CGHA situation. You’re too creative and managed to piece together a beautiful story with what you were given. They should really hire you to write their stories.

I mean, it is very possible... Considering all the cut content and music tracks you can clearly tell much has been cut. It would not be crazy to say Moon/Sun could have had a boss fight. Also it is such a shame they excluded so many great tracks and remixes from the game, one of my favourites is probably the: Invincibility track. I love Security Breach ALOT, and I think it is a great game, but it clearly was unfinished.
Also the Moon animation on 3:09 was from a trailer.

interesting thing to note - one of Freddy's unused voicelines confirms that originally the security office is where you'd get the *map* for Parts & Service, not the key to the repair chamber
you must have originally gotten the key from somewhere else in the endo tunnels...perhaps by defeating Moon in a "boss fight"
i watched several videos on cut content and i can safely say that i among all of them, a serious boss battle with moon would have been so much apprecciated
especially because he and sun both make exceptional enemies/threats that could have been shelled out way more
hell i think they have so much potential for how detailed and particular their functionalities are that all the conctent that could have been made out of them could be considered a smaller game on its own
and i am absolutely not asking for that, but they really deserved more sections into this game, and the game as a whole needed more time for development, like years more of time
something else i noticed: the endos behave in a very similar way to sun/moon. when you shine your flashlight at them (or maybe just when you look at them i don’t remember) they freeze and are harmless. the light makes them safe, just like moon. (also wasn’t there a cut “flashlight freeze” thing hidden in the code? maybe i’m just imagining things)
I actually found the music to fit really well with this cut content. I honestly feel like a part 2 to the daycare Moon bossfight would've been really creepy. However, there's is still something wrong with the Daycare Attendant even if this theory isn't true. May I bring your attention to Eclipse aka the glitched version of Sun in the Balloon World minigame. Eclipse seems like he was trying to hint to a dark truth about the Daycare Attendant but it never went anywhere. Not only that but Sun seems to have a handprint on his chest if you look at him the right way. There's soooo much weird stuff about The Daycare Attendant as you can clearly see that it's honestly kinda disturbing. I hope we get to see him more in the Ruin. Makes me re-think that the red eyes in the corner of the Ruin teaser are Blob's.
It’s scary how strong moon is and how easily sun and moon can move. They seem much lighter than the other animatronics yet much stronger. It’s so confusing yet it makes sense??
I believe you! This is such a good theory! I could really see that happening. 😲🤯But Sun and Moon are also my favorite, and I want to see them get the screen time they deserve. However, I am so SO glad Gregory did not destroy him. I think they made a mistake cutting anything out of the game related to the Daycare Attendant, but they probably didn't know just how popular he would be. It is true, practically everyone loves him from what I've seen. Maybe they might put it back in the Ruin DLC? I don't know. They would have to change his appearance in the animations if they did. If that theory of a Moon boss battle/dismantle is true, then I'm happy it wasn't finished, Gregory already ruined the others, I like Sun and Moon too much for Gregory to get his hands on them.

3:02 that's actually an animation from the original trailer! Moon appears briefly in a kitchen setting, crawling on the top left corner of the screen. I'm unsure why it's still in the files, but it could either be a load-bearing animation or they simply created the cinematic scenes in game, recorded, and left the files there lol

That's a good theory about the moon being killed in the giant industrial washing machine like it could be a boss right were you would continuouly lure moon close to a washing machine flip it on and shove his cable in there because for like 2 times moon gets lucky and the power was cut off maybye vanny trying to get Gregory killed by moon or something then the 3rd time it doesn't work and moon gets caught in the washing machine and gets like fried or something not to when he is dead but temporarily out of order for the rest of the hour and you take something from moon(such explains the power upgrade) a be more on to take down the other animatronic s
Another thing about the cut content that’s specifically related to the Daycare Attendant, is a Moon Plushie jumpscare that was supposed to be part of the unused Survival Mode. You can see it in the FNAF Wiki, including a gif of the jumpscare. I’m not quite sure how it would work or what purpose it would serve in the game if it wasn’t cut, but I think that it’s logical to think it might be something that we would see in the pitch-black, heavily Moon-themed daycare basement where you speculated the Daycare Attendant was supposed to be shattered. I’m surprised nobody ever mentions this Moon Plushie jumpscare, maybe it was supposed to make the daycare basement segment more difficult like the lack of towers that were supposed to be used to distract Moon.

I’ve had this theory that Gregory is a robot and used to be used to help sun/moon get on with kids. you can see when you decommision monty thay he already has freddy shoes and they dont look like the ones that are sold in the stores. there is a cut voiceline for freddy where he says “i remember you from the-“ and then he glitches out. I am confident that he was going to say the daycare as you dont used the word “ the”in any other attraction in the pizzaplex. and also, the secret room kn top of the daycare has two rooms. the big on and the small one. im convinced thrat the small one was for gregory and the big one was for moon/sun
3:13 This one was actaully in the trailer for sb, or one of them. Moon can be seen crawling uptop on the cabinets and other various kitchen things, because apparently he was meant to be in the kitchen at one point.

I hated the Daycare mission (because I was playing it on a really low performance pc and it took me two days) but I can imagine seeing Moon getting more screen time since it was just that and every hour. Not gonna lie, I would've liked to decommissioned Moon.

so what I think would've happened was that gregory would accidentally do something to unleash eclipse/ the moon, as
i think eclipse is moon, plus in this case solar eclipses occur when the moon blocks the sun from the earths view.

None of these moon animations are cut by the way. There are all in game and only appear during the power out sequences at the end of every hour where you have to get to a recharge station. They have been in the game since launch/ first patch update and the hanging upside down one can appear on the rockstar row stage and the waving his finger to us can appear in hallways, around boxes in the storage area at rockstar row and a few other places
The only ones that are not used is the running one
They actually weren't in at launch. Some of them were patched in later. Some of them I have heard have been seen but have seen no evidence of.
The issue is, many of them are only in areas you will not enter into during the power outages. For example, Moon sometimes appears in the show stage, but when the power goes out you are two steps away from Chica's recharge station, and even going to Freddy's wouldn't take you to the area. Plus, if you wait too long then Moon automatically jumpscares you, meaning it isn't beneficial to wander.

But after the first major patch update where they added a recharge station after 6am, they added in all the moon animations. The sprinting one was there since Day 1 but went completely unused but some of them were freshly added after the first patch and were indeed used. But it was not worth going to get them/ find them as there was no point. A recharge station was usually right beside the player when this happened so not many players ended up encountering them. Especially since some changes were not always recorded on the patch notes
So Since, you said that he was Ment to lower you in parts and service and see what’s he wants to show you he’s probably gonna show you one of his experiments or what has he done with Freddy and I think when we went in the charging station freddy was ment to hide then you see him and moon comes back and takes him into the storage and another thing moon was probably telling you to come here to have you do his bidding.
