How to replace a Keyboard on a Toshiba c850

This video show's you how easy it is to replace the keyboard on a Toshiba C850 satellite laptop. Many people claim its really difficult but it takes 5-10 mins max and even a novice can do it.

I have a C855, booted it up and all of a sudden keys wouldn't work, but mouse did. So glad I found ur video- the models are very close and this helped me get to the ribbon, which had come loose. Thank you so much!

Hey man, your keyboard looks cool! And I've got a ton of things to upgrade have you made other videos on like upgrading the laptop HDD and the RAM etc. Because the first models of this laptop didn't had i5 it had P4 (Pentinum 4). Plus the hard disk is only 250 GBs, I'm guessing your's is 1TB or 500GBs something. Please can you do some other videos? Lol my point is please make some other videos.

You do not need a large tool. A small flathead precision screwdriver will do the job in releasing the 7 latches that hold the edge of the keyboard.

so I poured coffee o on my keyboard and so none of the keys work. however the onscreen keyboard works perfectly. what do you think, will the keyboard work if I get new set for it

Thanks for the vid mark. Thanks for the video! I have a question! I got the c850d PSCC2C-012003 for free out of a dumpster! It works BUT the battery does NOT charge. I know it's not the battery because i have the same battery and laptop as well, and both batteries work. Both batts are not recognized by windows when I plug it in while ON and OFF, BUT it does blink AMBER when the battery is inserted with AC plugged in AND when AC is out. I am guessing it's the mainboard and/or a mosfet. Any idea what I could do here? Replace the mainboard? I can get a used one locally for about $40. I am poor student here in Canada during this hysteria! Thnks a lot man!

take dvdrom out its one screw then theres and eject slot under there, push that and run finger down front of kb, take 5 seconds
