So I was drawing, and the left click is the only one I use to properly draw with a mouse. And it's now broken, even the letter E is broken Idk what to do anymore, but I managed to shut it down ;-;.

@@rue2414 Yes me too but luckily I had a warranty for my keyboard so Dell will replace my old keyboard with a new one for free check if yours has a warranty like mine.

I am really impressed by your skill. I am not sure if I can do that myself. I need to replace the Z and Y keys on my HP laptop. The laptop is from Germany. And their keyboard is different.

I can't even thank you enough!! I was cleaning my 6 key because it kept sticking and took the key out, then I could not get it back in. I scrolled through every video and didn't work,but this master piece of a tutorial did. Even 8 years later and it still is one of the best tutorials on RUclips :)

I had a problem with the w and i followed the tutorial and it helped me so much, bit I feel if it's a little bit slow, like it don't respond when I press it and works when I hold it.
You make it look so simple when it's anything but. I've spent the best part of 2 hours trying to reattach 2 keys to my keyboard and I still haven't figured it out.

This honestly might be the most important video I've ever watched up to this point in my life. Every once in a while, someone will ask me to put a key back on their laptop. Computer repair in general is out of my scope of work, and laptop keys are the bane of my existence. I have broken so many laptop keys, but after watching this video, I finally was able to painlessly reinstall a key. Thank you so much!

For anyone who may have difficulty placing back the retainer, it might be because when attempting to connect it back to the base, you haven't aligned it properly to the latches on the keyboard base.
Had trouble attaching the retainer back because i was pressing it down the whole time when the latch (for my brand of laptop, it might differ from yours) was actually in the shape of a tiny hook :')

When ever I put the key back on it doesn’t stay on , it just like comes off when I type , or like flings off when I hold it down when I walk in a game or what not , etc.

I have experienced this issue myself on Windows 11. I tried a lot of things including different keyboards with the same results driving my crazy. In my case, it turned out to be a settings issue.
I found out that I needed to disable the overlay in both NVIDEA GeForce Experience and the in-game Steam Overlay. But this was not enough, so I also disabled the FPS counter in Steam.
I hope this can be a help to other people struggling the same way as I did.
