Even on the drivers side some idiot could hit you from behind. As locksmiths we don't even use them. A lot do to make keys not to actually open the doors. We have code services if we need a key code.
@bigpeezyweezy waste of time and actually endangers yourself even more. Best to just get in and out as fast as possible. The more the traffic notices you the more likely you are to be hit. If they will hit a Trooper they will hit anyone.

Yeah, my buddy Tom is a locksmith. He never uses a reach tool,well, hardly ever. It's easier for him to make a key.
