Hey Fraidy, funny you mention that as I have 5 flintlocks now that currently have no home. I have been looking around my house trying to find wall space for a display of them. Though it's funny when my walls are filled with trilobites, dinosaur skulls and all the other things I have built. How often would the words "I think I'm going to take down the Utahraptor skull to make room for the flintlocks. lol. Thanks for watching Fraidy!

@@SamhainPropworks Oh, yeah. I can totally see it. “Clear the shrunken heads! Gotta make room for the dragon!”😂

Another great build. I agree the wood would be more durable but if its just background "fluff" then foam would be fine.

100% Asmarteru, when in the background foam would be perfect. There is a lovely joy to working with the wood to make this, doing all the spoke shaving was very relaxing on each build. It also depends on the tools you have and where it is being used of course. Thanks for watching :)

I have a few more flintlocks in mind, but for now I am taking a break and moving on to some other props. I'm really happy I got the Blunderbuss, Pistol and Rifle built though :). Look in the future, I'm sure I will build them once inspiration strikes :). Thanks for watching!

I'm a propmaker from Tijuana. What type of wood is better for that type of props? Im planing to make a chaservill French musket, but what i want is to make a bayonet for my version.

I just used spruce, but in reality you can use any wood you have access to that you feel confident working with. I had not thought about the bayonet, that would be a great addition to the prop! Thanks for watching!

Hey! Sadly due to Canadian law, even those these are considered antique replicas, they would be confiscated at the border. Some newer laws that were put in caused two of the largest replica maker in Canada to close their doors as shipping out of the country became impossible.
