Kristine Zhenie Lobrigas Tandingan, mononymously known as KZ, is a Filipino singer and rapper hailed as Asia's Soul Supreme. She rose to prominence following her win on the first season of The X Factor Philippines in 2012. That same year, she won Aliw Award for Best New Artist.

I'm a long time Chinese culture enthusiast. When I first heard her sing. I said to myself she really pronounced it like an advanced learner. For me KZ is the winner in that show.

Yes i also agree that tagalog in the philippines is easy to learn. Im a filipino but i speak chavacano because in the philippines we have many languages but tagalog is really easy to learn.

Nice reaction. Thanks for the English subtitles. KZ doesn't speak Chinese. She had someone pronounce the words and she memorized the sounds. I don't speak Chinese, so i couldn't judge how well she did except to see that no one was laughing, so I figured she did well. It's nice to see a reaction from someone who does speak Chinese and confirms that.
She actually performed very well, all the audience were amazed by her voice. As a chinese speaker I can say that her chinese sounds native, thanks the comment 🙂

I'm so glad to hear someone whose mother tongue is Chinese. You gave an honest reaction to Kz. I just love hearing the Chinese language in song. You gave a quiet reaction unlike so many who talk more during the song rather than listening to the song and lyrics. I'm from New Zealand and learnt Mandarin Chinese for 2 years from local Chinese speaking friends. It is said that if you want to learn another language, then it's best to ask the locals. I'm so proud of how we Filipinos can easily learn and mimic how to pronounce other countries languages, as far as what I know 3 months is the minimum for us to be able to learn and converse in foreign language almost fluently.

I think because we got colonized by different countries and I think Americans helped make things easier for us to pronounce the letters especially r and l. Some Asian countries struggle to pronounce Letters R and L.
