    Hi I am the original builder of this concept project. I am very grateful that this truck fell into the right hands . I have limited body fender skills. I had planned to build another cab. I dropped the top. Channeled the cab. 78 Crew frame two wheel drive. Crazy as it sounds three of us started similar projects in Santa Rosa California in the early 90s. All three projects became drivers. Mine was built for practical purposes. We went north with three kids to go camping twice a month.
    Crew cab 4xs were not available yet.
    So happy that you took this truck so far . I’m proud to be part of it.

      I saw one just like this one but solid colored paint, here in payette Idaho. The salvage yard owner here has it, and the idea is very cool!!!

      What did you use for the door pillars between both cabs?

    • @Suthyrnrock88
      @Suthyrnrock88 5 месяцев назад

      @@richardlinden4015 These are built from Caryalls / Suburbans . A standard cab back is used. Holes in the outrigger actually line up, set your door or doors reveal. Minimum work required to change the rear door at the c pillar using a standard cab door. On this one the entire top was removed and lowered. This is not my video just thought I’d chime in. Still kicking myself for not finishing this truck.

      @Suthyrnrock88 thanks for the information. Breaking my head on how to do it without attempting to build from scratch.

      They did build 1500 of these. The back of a regular cab will mate up perfect. You have to drop the top.

    Damn that took a lot of work to restore, but oh my it was sooo worth it, these old vehicles need to be saved or they will be lost forever.

    There is a company that builds these special order the way you want and the engine and transmission you want. They are from $150,000 to $250,000 each
    I couldn't ever afford that but he started a company building them so there are plenty of people that can afford them.

    Nice build,I commend you sir for actually making the fourth door!!!!! I usually never leave comments, but I had to on this one, I can't stand the fact that gm used three doors instead four, gay!!
    The only thing I'll comment on is the chinsy Nerf bars, but other than that to each his own👍
