- Every time the Grand Tour gang set off on another wild adventure the editors are forced to sit and wait for the mammoth task of cutting down hours of footage into the handful of episodes we all wait for with ever-growing impatience.
In those minutes of film left on the cutting room floor are some moments that can only be described as Clarkson/Hammond/May gold. Wrap your eyes around five moments from the Mozambique special that we definitely wouldn't have seen otherwise...

They’ve said that there’s a thousand hours of footage of each special and they edit it all down to 1 or 2 hours. I’d rather watch all 1000 hours cause they said there’s just a lot of rambling in it

Also, there is hours upon hours upon hours of film footage that has to be cut to fit into an hour/2 hour.
audio is definitely dodgy but could be cleaned up,I bet they do hours of this stuff that isnt used.

As much as they give each other guff they are still friends. However that doesn’t quite sell as well as the petty bickering and bumbling we all know and love

Has stolen the Indian ocean
And he stole from the rich and the poor
Gru set his relationship with James may to supervillain apprentice
Truly a great menace of our time.
He tried to launch an SS-18 Satan ballistic missile with a lighter
British though-and-through.
Honestly each of them are fundamental parts for this serie.
- Richard Hammond, to keep the conversation going (and always being enthusiastic).
- Jeremy Clarkson, to heat things up with controversial points.
- James May, to lower the pace and make the show more relaxed.
You also need Clarkson and May to keep the show more mature. With Hammond alone like on some DVD's it drops down to a target audience of 9 year olds.

Yeah it just wouldn't be the same without any one of them and they're smart enough to recognise the value of that. I believe that's why May and Hammond never even considered staying at the BBC when Jeremy got fired.

I'm not an native English speaker, so it confuses me..
@@Hardts I could understand if "of" and "have" were as close in sound and spelling as "then" and "than" but they are not - not even close. They don't even serve the same grammatical purpose. My guess is related to what you said about it being based on spoken sound where the contraction of "should have" to "should've" and "could have" to "could've" can sound like "could of" and "should of" but I still don't see that as an excuse. I suppose I should be grateful an attempt was made at proper English and not just some shorthand text gibberish.
Makes me happy watching these three.

For almost a century elderly people have been talking about their "dicky knees" when they have arthritis and their knee joint is playing up, it's very much a PG-7 expression.

What will be harder to explain in the future to our children won't be covid of 2020 it will be how amazing these three were together and how it can't ever be replicated , they are going to be shown like old black and whites for decades to come , glad I was growing up with them on the TV alongside heartbeat !

I think James enjoy his own company more than anyone else's.
Maan... Hammond is such a nice person, and I say that because his natural reaction to when he assumes someone has gotten hurt is pretty nice. I think he was the one asking about putting some cold water on someone's face (2:00)... then it took me back to the special where they end up on horses(?) and James falls, and so on...
