Piña Colada is my all time fav cocktail. This is the first time I am seeing someone taking s much care to make the shaken version. Thanks for the video :D I prefer the blended version though.
Well I was Bartender after pass exam for 2 years(2008-2010) and tomorrow I'm will work on wedding of my friend. this video bring me back to a passion I must quit unfortunately. Thank You :)
So tempted to try the one with cocnut water! Sounds way more refreshing. 1 thing i have noticed is you need really ripe pineapples which should be yellow all around, not the green one's. The riper the sweeter and tastier. Greens are too raw and unpleasant acidity when ate
Pina Colada's are my all time favourite cocktail! Going to try the lighter version definitely, will be serving these up on my birthday party.. I tried to find the perfect pina colada on a trip to Spain not long back - unfortunately (surprisingly) I could not find one!
lozzerooney Amazing - send us some photos of how you get on. We've got a Google+ community just for that plus.google.com/u/0/b/116027252794147137089/communities/111293099851034021396
Tip, don't add the sugar! I'm Puerto Rican, for sweeter taste add a bit more of coconut cream, is very sweet and the sugar can add a bit to much sweetness to it. Second, the ratio usually is same amount of coconut cream to pinnaple, but play with it, add more to taste depending on what you want more, pinnaple taste or coconut. Third barcardi is the best way to go for rum. Is made in Puerto Rico and the sweetness of the rum blends perfect with this flavors. 4th you can garnish with a cherry and pinnaple that's a very Puerto Rican thing. :)
Joey Ortiz I spent a lot of time in Puerto Rico, where I learned to make Piña Coladas. I agree, ditch the sugar, and go for equal amounts of fresh pineapple juice and coconut cream. I prefer Don Q rum, but in a blended drink like a Piña Colada, you really can't tell the difference. The thing that really separates a Piña Colada made in Puerto Rico from one made anywhere else is the wedge of pineapple they garnish it with. It is white, not yellow in color, and has a lighter, milder taste that I love.
I'd add lime juice in the modern version and bananas in the traditional version and I wouldn't add sugar because the pineapple is already sweet.. and I wouldn't measure exactly how many pieces of pineapple or mls of coconut juice/milk or cream, I frickn love coconut cream and milk.. Or you could also try passionfruit in them.. pretty much any other tropical fruit but I think the ones I mentioned are more mix and matchable.. then pawpaw and mango.. I LOVE Soursop, in Samoa we call it Sasalapa and apparently it grows in South America too.
In my area in Austria the weather is so unpredictable right now.. sometimes it's boiling hot and on the next day it's raining and cold. Hope the weather gets better in London!
I like the Virgin Pina Colada as the rum over took the flavors of the drink. Was it made wrong? These drinks here look lighter not thick and milky white.
Minnie Roberts Hmmm, not sure what you might've done. Always feel free to tinker with the recipes though, it's about finding a drink to suit your tastes. Cheers!
Pineapples in the UK are normally harvested unripe and shipped like that to ripen on the shelf. We don't tend to get the sweetest pineapple because of that and you have to but the middle out. Check out Simone's video where he explains that.
+Majkak16 you sound like you might be in Poland? I have asked my people in Warsaw and Krakow to hook me up with some suppliers! Will get back to you shortly.
Read the recipe now..says 2 parts white rum and 1 part dark rum...so I was almost right :-P I guess the more dark rum you put the more "taste" from the rum you get...I'd probably stick to 2+1 :-P Mostly white rum that is :-P
a Little bit late...but pls...NEVER sip on a cocktail with bacardi in it an say hmmmm tasty. Take a clear appleton or at least a havana club 3. gj with the fresh fruit!
2 times absolutely not the Pina Colada served in cocktail bars...you never mix the ice...pineapple includes enough water......ice is only to cool a drink, crushed or the cubes. Mixing in a Boston shaker ok but never in a blender...how dare you :-)
i just disliked this video BECAUSE: there are way too many cuts in it ! 2ndly is he hiding with his hands sometimes Minute3 how did he called the HAMMER !? thats a hammer for carpenter!
Alcohol itself is pretty fattening. I have quite an intensive gym regime which I fail to keep up with. It's all about balance and moderation. Coconut water is really good for you. Packed full of potassium and magnesium and such-likes!!
We love Piña Coladas, especially when Rich Hunt makes them! He's one of the best in the world and showcasing the wonders of great tiki cocktails.
best drinks tube video yet! love it!
Jago Bridgland Cheers Jago!
This fast pace editing and the music is awesome! Great video!
+Chester Cai Aw, shucks! Thanks for noticing.
Rich Looked like he has so much fun making both of these recipes.

Yummmmm
THX!
The Piña Colada is the original adult milkshake.

Cool :)
I like this one 😆
+Janaka Seneviratne We like this comment!
I use 3 CL spiced rum and 3 CL John Taylor's Falernum. It works :)
.. and also a bit of coconut syrup :)
Mmmmmm - sounds good!
Wow nice!!..can't wait to try this. But other than coconut cream what else can I use just in case I don't find it
Try the coconut water recipe!
You guys should collaborate with some British big youtubers like the yogscast, it would really promote your stuff
hammerpark Thanks for the comment. Always keen on hooking up with other RUclipsrs like *****
nice video but the weather does go with the tiki theme haha
Is it just me, or is he really cute!

world record:1000 words per second
2:46 ".... something long andvery hard..."
I see what you did there
Diiirty mind
Where'd he get that muddler? Isn't that from Employees Only in NY?
Felt at home with the music pick know the sound
imagine this guy introducin himself to a person... "hey, im rich!"
nice video men ! anyone knows the songs that plays?
I feel like the sugar isn't necessary if you have access to good pineapples. The pineapples at my grocery store are extremely sweet
jjaj1243 Good point, you can always tailor these recipes to your own taste and to reflect the qualities of your local produce.
Pineapples in the UK are normally harvested unripe and shipped like that to ripen on the shelf. We don't tend to get the sweetest pineapple because of that and you have to but the middle out. Check out Simone's video where he explains that.
for dat light pina colada can i use coconut rum? its hard to get coconut water or milk in my country :/
+Majkak16 you sound like you might be in Poland? I have asked my people in Warsaw and Krakow to hook me up with some suppliers!
Will get back to you shortly.
Is coconut cream easy to get hold of in the UK? Where might I find it?
Given2fly1990 Most supermarkets these days would have it, otherwise online!
Taste it before you use it! If it's sweet (like coco Lopez) omit the sugar from the rest of the recipe!!!
If it is coconut cream it is unsweetened so you have to use the sugar, but cream of coconut is sweetened so you can omit the sugar if you use that
Can you still go with Coconutmilk on the second one?
We reckon coconut milk or cream would probably be too thick - but you can certainly try it and see how it turns out!
alright I will drink : For Science !
Jamie Oliver's Drinks Tube
can i use dark rum?
+Julian nieto bermudez We haven't tried it ourselves but feel free to give it a go and let us know how you get on.
I think you can...doesn't even the original recipe have equal amounts of white and dark rum?

I tried the one with coconut water, but got zero coconut flavour. It tasted rum and pineapple. I was disappointed. The video was great though.
Great video!
Could you show us some non-alcoholic drinks?
I would simply replace the rum with more coconut water or maybe some multivitamin juice :D
they said that these will come up in the next vids :)
Beautip by Becci Peter Pan It's true - stay tuned!
i don't think alcoholics know how to make non-alcoholic drinks
Peter Pan water, milk, juice? you should probably be able to figure that out on your own.
I must admit that I don't like too many bubbles.
why not just use a juicer? pure pineapple juice looks exactly like what he is talking about, very foamy with a creamy texture, just like a cappuccino.
🎵If you like Pina colada-
And DrinksTube in the rain 🎤

Why is he trying act and sound like Jamie Oliver
i just disliked this video BECAUSE: there are way too many cuts in it !
2ndly is he hiding with his hands sometimes
Minute3 how did he called the HAMMER !? thats a hammer for carpenter!
He called it a "mallet" which is exactly what it is
Not my kind of a drink...
I've heard they are really unhealthy/fattening (?)
Alcohol itself is pretty fattening. I have quite an intensive gym regime which I fail to keep up with. It's all about balance and moderation.
Coconut water is really good for you. Packed full of potassium and magnesium and such-likes!!
