Thank you for this detailed comparison. Personally, I'm glad they took the pictures of Christ out, as we do not know what he looked like, but will miraculously recognize Him when He returns.. I have an old Kirkbride TCR KJV and was going to purchase the new NKJV. However, they are updating the NASB. So, I have pre-ordered the new premier coming out in OCT. this year. I can't wait to see the contents in this new beauty. It's quite expensive, so it will probably be my last bible purchase for awhile. Keep up the great ministry of faith in Christ Jesus.

Thank you for your thoughtful video. I have had a Thompson since the late 70's. Love it. I really love the new font & page layout. The paper & print are great. Really makes reading easy on my old eyes. I miss some of the illustrations. They have modernized it but I feel it has lost some character. About the only other thing is, to me the font in the index's seems smaller. Having a bit of a hard time getting used to it. God bless.

Yeah, the new format is different, but I feel they have kept the feel of the Thompson Chain. I’m just glad that others will still benefit from it for years to come. Thanks for watching!

I love the archeological studies of the older, which proved examples of biblical inerrancy , Strange to me that they took that out

Thank you for your video on Mark 16; 9-20 I looked at Codex Sianiticus and you can see planely that 9-20 has been removed from Scripture.

I want to get the premium NASB to upgrade from my Kirkbride but it is so nice and not cheap, I don’t know if I would feel comfortable writing in it. I got a handy size NIV which is more portable but the print is so small that I am not sure I will use it much.

The new ones are amazing and even is handy size is bigger print than the ones from Kirkbride. Used to be 6 pt l, but now 8 pt

I just was transferring notes from my 1980’s NIV to my new handy size NIV. I am getting more comfortable with the smaller helps print. If it were real calf skin and available in NASB, it would be far and away my favorite Bible ever. I LOVE the handy size and the Thompson study Bible to my mind is one of the best study Bibles ever available. The paper is great and takes the dry highlighters like a dream. Having blank lined pages in the back are a real plus. To me , this Bible is an all around great tool for serious Bible study. The economical price for a soft touch handy size offers everyone the ability to own a quality Bible. If a larger more premium version is something a person wants and can afford , great!!! But even a more budget version is worth many times the actual cost spent and makes a great gift.

Can I ask what year/edition/version is the one you're comparing the new one to? Thanks!

They took the archeology section out💔😔

They did. They gave a survey out to Bible groups on Facebook asking about different parts. The archeological section was the least used. I only used it once myself in message preparation in over 20 years of ministry.
