Did "The Violator" ever appear again here or elsewhere, masked or otherwise? Strikes me as a trainee they were hoping would debut later under their actual gimmick.
Those classic Memphis guys were equally good at face and heel. Lawler, Dundee, Mantel, Idol, Valiant...even Rich surprised me with how good he was in his late-'80s crazy-eyed hillbilly persona. Others were definitely better as one thing than the other. Kevin Sullivan, Eddie Gilbert, and Randy Savage were all much better at heel. Gilbert was a thousand times more interesting after his turn than he had ever been.
always has wondered who the Evil Freddy was, kind of funny in the movies Freddy was supposed to be evil but in wrestling him and Jason were faces lol. Yeah Lawler had started showing heelish tendency even weeks before this show but it was a slow build which was good, to bad the current E writers have no idea how to something like that now
23:36 mark- the comment of the day "Beat the Food Stamps out of him"I love it
Yep, that's ole Nate the Rat.
I thought Nate was under used at times

I thought it was Dennis Knight/Phineas Godwinn.
the new York brawler sure knows how to stun his man for one long hot pin
Dillinger having a temper tantrum in the ring after he lost the match. 8:50.😆😆😆😆😆
I wonder if Sean regal is kin to steve regal
I really like Freddy. He should have been in so many matches. I alway's wondered who that wrestler is.👀💪🏾
The real Freddy in Memphis was played by Tommy Gilbert, father of "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert and Doug Gilbert(aka Dark Patriot).
@@dagdogg This is true.
It still gets to me to watch Lawler turn heel. I guess he plays the part so well.
Very true. Lawler is right up there with the best at being a heel.
+sandmantn77 Agreed!
+Steve Holsten The setup to this run as a heel is great, imho.

I came to see DWG , I always thought she was too cute to be with Tony !
I know many established wrestlers provided the motivation for characters in Memphis, but Brooklyn Brawler? Come on!
