Andy was a copy of Barry. Was as extremely gorgeous like him, sang like him, had the same beautiful smile, witch they all had and the same gorgeous eyes like his brothers. He would have looked like Barry in every way if he didn’t passed away. Miss Andy, Mo and Robin so much. The world is a sadder place without them.
Yeah they were very similar. It's like there couldn't be two copies of so much talent and so it was short-lived. Andy himself admitted that he wasted it, unfortunately.

Andy was a beautiful man with a beautiful heart and soul. You could feel and hear his heart with every one of his songs. This cover of his brother's Bee Gees were a masterpiece. I will miss him always and continue to listen to his beautiful music for my life.

When he sings like Barry he uses vibrato. When he sings like Robin he uses tremolo, which is a fluctuation in volume rather than a fluctuation in pitch like with vibrato. I always thought the tremolo sounded unnatural, but it seemed to work well for them.

He was so beautiful and gifted like his brothers I heard in an interview with barry him say maurice and robin were twins and he and andy were twins. I believe it! I remember this performance. This is from 1981 and was a gala at Ford's Theatre. It was hosted by Jack Klugman and Victoria Principal. It featured Andy Gibb, David Copperfield, Lynda Carter, Johnny Cash and others that I can't remember. Then President Reagan and the First Lady attended as well as Vice President and Barbara Bush. A memorable program.
I agree that Andy had a very beautiful voice, and he sounds so much like Barry it's uncanny. To me, Barry had the best voice out of the four, with his amazing vocal range and versatility, but they all had awesomely beautiful voices. Love them all♥️♥️♥️

I had a mega crush on Andy. I always thought he was the most handsome, and I loved "I Just Want to Be Your Everything." I remember being so heartbroken when he passed away so young. May he and his brothers rest in peace.

Lana Rayphole he had three highly successful brothers. I think he felt insecure about ever living up to that. He was so much younger and did not believe he could do as well as them. Poor Andy. I think he felt somewhat alone because he had no siblings close in age. He was the kid to them.
He didn't do drugs because they broke up. They broke up BECAUSE he was on drugs. And their break-up was about 7 years prior to his death, which was a heart valve issue due to his long and hard drug use over the years. Such a sad and senseless loss.
In 2007 I was working at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA. The mausoleum where Andy is interred was beginning to show wear and needed some reinforcement and as a result some of the caskets needed to be pulled out so repairs could be done. Andy being so famous, the foreman decided to open the casket and take a look. It was haunting. He looked like he was sleeping. Aside from some light molding on his face and fading of the color of his suit, you could be forgiven for thinking he was merely taking a nap. His hair was pristine and looked immaculate, and he still had some color to his face, though we assumed that was likely makeup. We paid our respects and then put him back in his resting place.
His voice... it is something I remember from my deep childhood... so relaxing, so safe, so lovely... Thank God for his songs, and truly short life. Thank you, who love his voice with me.

I was blown away by something on this. If you listen to the mono version of The Bee Gees song Words at the very end of the song listen what Barry added at the very very end the backing vocal. I never thought in a million years that Andy would remember to do that part and I'll be damned he did it even though it's very short just the fact that he remembered to do it. I went to a concert of his with a friend younger sister, he won me over as a fan. My friend sister was madly in love with him. The last song he sung was everlasting love. My friend sister pulled me all the way up to the stage,she got a hold of his hand. Over all the screaming, I heard her yell my name, he knew she wanted someone to see him holding her hand. He held up their hands in the air for a good 15-20 seconds... At that point he had another fan. I cried when I heard he had die he was truly gone way to soon.

I was falling in love, on holiday, 10.000 miles away, with a local girl (19 years ago)! Final, I was singing the song "Words" for her,. because it was my situation, and I had to leave! Now we are married since 18 years, and the song "Words" is.. still.... ours! For us a song .... unbelievable---- I just can say, thank you that these song exist -

Lana Rayphole he had three highly successful brothers. I think he felt insecure about ever living up to that. He was so much younger and did not believe he could do as well as them. Poor Andy. I think he felt somewhat alone because he had no siblings close in age. He was the kid to them.

They broke up BECAUSE he was on drugs.
And their break-up was about 7 years prior to his death, which was a heart valve issue due to his long and hard drug use over the years.
Such a sad and senseless loss.
In 2007 I was working at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA. The mausoleum where Andy is interred was beginning to show wear and needed some reinforcement and as a result some of the caskets needed to be pulled out so repairs could be done. Andy being so famous, the foreman decided to open the casket and take a look. It was haunting. He looked like he was sleeping. Aside from some light molding on his face and fading of the color of his suit, you could be forgiven for thinking he was merely taking a nap. His hair was pristine and looked immaculate, and he still had some color to his face, though we assumed that was likely makeup. We paid our respects and then put him back in his resting place.
Absolutely mesmerizing. Such a tragedy to lose this soul so young. 😢

I was blown away by something on this. If you listen to the mono version of The Bee Gees song Words at the very end of the song listen what Barry added at the very very end the backing vocal. I never thought in a million years that Andy would remember to do that part and I'll be damned he did it even though it's very short just the fact that he remembered to do it. A brilliant performance.

I went to a concert of his with a friend younger sister, he won me over as a fan. My friend sister was madly in love with him. The last song he sung was everlasting love. My friend sister pulled me all the way up to the stage,she got a hold of his hand. Over all the screaming, I heard her yell my name, he knew she wanted someone to see him holding her hand. He held up their hands in the air for a good 15-20 seconds... At that point he had another fan. I cried when I heard he had die he was truly gone way to soon.
