I recently found you, and you are very engaging! I learned stuff, but wanted you to know I've also learned that original art may be something I could afford for myself, and what to look for. I thought a watercolor or nice print would be too expensive.
Hi Dr.lori.newwatcher here. I'm 63 and in the 80s I worked for a Dr and his wife collected royal Albert old country rose dinner settings.bowls platters plates cups etc etc.we would all pitch in at Christmas and add to her set.gosh I see those pieces at vintage stores etc.40 bucks one plate very beautiful deep red roses or Burgundy love it. Saw a set at thrift store 200 bucks.good deal their were tons of pieces just had no money.im going back their if it's their I'm buying.

I upcycled a china cabinet it is not of any value. It stores my jewellery and my collection of vintage china flower pieces earings , pins and brooches. How due to your advice I leave the door open whenever I wear a piece.

I've noticed at goodwill when it's priced 8 or ten dollars etc it's really worth triple or little more.they just don't have time to resale etc.im sure they have someone in the back looking over items that can be very valuable before it's put out for sale.however things get overlooked and some score big time.
