Sounds incredible
Very subtle differences. This will make for a great mastering process. Thanks for this great tutorial!
Dude! Great tutorial, thank you so much! This really helped lighten the intimidation of working with this plugin and the (for me) unfamiliar terminology for the parameters. Great sounding tune! I know this vid is pretty old but hope things are going well. Thanks again :)
Most welcome! Appreciate the kind words dude.
This is why I'm your biggest fan. Every audio you process ends up sounding like a masterpiece! Sounds flawless
thanks Jay 🙏
"Had to find out that some people never want the truth.." I can tell you're real af man. You're my inspiration for picking up Ozone and learning to master & you're basically the only person on RUclips who makes quality video's about using it lol Would you be able to do an updated version of Mastering with Ozone? Maybe a wee bit longer to get just that much more in depth? Cheers mate! Keep up the great work!
thanks Nikko! more videos on the way :)
Great ! Can u make video for mix only with Neutron 2 + nectar 3 ?
Very subtle, thank you for the free info.
I love how clean is your mix. I’m listening to the song on Apple Music it’s so cool love it.
Please can I achieve this only with plugins ? Is there any analog processing ? Thanks
thanks Enam! yes, it was mixed and mastered entirely with plugins :)

Sean Divine thanks for your answer Brother 🙏🏻
Wooow increible este video, esta subtitulado a español y lo mejor de todo es que la data que aporta es otro fakin level !!!
Thanks for the info. Now is a little more clear for me.
That was dope thanks for the break down.
so good. thank you so much ! very clear
I love ozone 8. I use elements but can't wait until I upgrade to advanced. Thank you as always for all of the great tutorials 🙏✊✌
sure thing Gringo. Heard good things about Elements... I've been continuously impressed with Advanced 👍
Thank you for your help! Great job!
This was so helpful, thanks!
Great tutorial by the way!
thanks!
Dude awesome tutorial and great track as well. :)
I was always wondering about what it exactly does, thank you for this video.
🙌
Thanks.
I use it but not that much. Great explanation. Normally I listen with headphones, but I'm at work. When you raised the bias I herd alot more presence on my phone speakers.
thanks Devon. Tape saturation can seem very subtle but with a close listen, it makes a huge difference 👍
When/where will your L8ly be available to buy? I want to use it as a reference track. Amazing work 👍

Sean what do you think about "slate VTM" tape emulation plugin? And what do you think about slate digital plugins in general? I've never seen you using those plugins in a mix. When it comes to analog emulations it seems like you prefer Waves (or Ozone in case of Mastering) over any other plugin developer.... Is there any particular reason or it's just a matter of habit?
I don't currently use any slate plugins, although I've heard good things about them. I've been using Waves plugins since I started mixing so it's what I feel most comfortable with, love the sound and there are so many great plugins. There are others I use often also i.e. soundtoys, fabfilter, antares
Hi Sean, in the videos put a tick Translation, you will facilitate the understanding of many people. Thank you, Hello from Russia.
last vid i asked if this was a christian song. Christian song or not its a power, good song, and the mix is nuts. Thank for what you do G!
thank you dap!!
Seems to me like I have either garbage earphones, or that my ears aren't trained enough. I could only figure out the difference when you changed the bias. Everything else was kind of similar-ish to me. Lots of listening to do, it seems. Thank you though.
No worries Anant! Tape saturation can be very subtle. It's kinda like compression in that it takes some ear training to pick up on fully but once you do, you'll be able to pick it out every time :)
Is vintage tape similar to saturation?
Yes! Depending on how you set the bias, that will affect things differently

Wow pretty cool... thanks Sean! This song sounds f’ing amazing! Hahaha
thank you Andre! 🤜
Hey my man, me again haha Could you please explain me how do I get louder track in terms of lufs? I've never got the problem with it, but I can't fix my friends mix, it's just somehow quiet in terms of lufo, but it's actally really loud in terms of rms (-4db). The only way I could find is to boost mid frequencies, but that would mess up the mix. And yeah, when I compare it with my tracks that are -4db rms, my tracks are way louder and puchier.
are you referring to LUFS integrated or a momentary reading?
@@SeanDivine I think it is momentary, because I'm using CS Metering plugin, and it's reading it as a perceived loudness.
loudness and perceived loudness are two very different things. Your friend's mix may also be more dynamic (having more space between the quietest and loudest elements) so, naturally it will have a lower LUFS reading.
shouldnt this be at the end of the chain? (literally going to tape) Otherwise Ozone might want to eq out any changes? But how can you verify LUFS with this at the end of the chain, if you are adding db's? kind of confusing.
Thanks for the more in depth review. Heh you sound like The Chainsmokers keep it up.
sure thing :)
I feel like the vintage tape module is to transparent even when exaggerate the drive to hear how it's effects the track I can't hear a difference 🤣 I'll just use the Exciter module or Kramer tape
You should try ToTape6 from airwindows
Please can u help me i need autotune antares for logic please

Sean Divine i’m -18 i don’t get a job to buy it , it’s for this i need your help

shit sounds exactly the same to me i feel like mastering is one big elaborate joke that everyone swears they can tell a difference but everyone is just pretending
give it time, mastering can be seemingly subtle at first but it all adds up to make a big sonic difference
Train your ears.
