    If a fragrance reviewer who has always only reviewed luxury and designer fragrances says, no, I will never review Arabian fragrances, I don't fault them. What I do not like is when certain reviewers outright scorn Arab fragrances and say that they are inferior or stealing, that really irritates me.

    I am spoiled by you two . I appreciate the way you described the fragrances instead of using umbrella terms like amazing, obsessed , beautiful, fabulous , in a choke hold….. if that is the only and constant comment then I still have. No clue what the fragrance smells like. One particular influencer just makes me side eye EVER review because she goes overboard with her facial expressions and her “ OH WOW” constant response to EVERY fragrance….. I do agree with Cee about not liking fragrances that are hyped, as for those that don't respond to comments, we all know that it's impossible to respond to all the comments but you could acknowledge a few rather than not responding at all, because if you think of it the comments also help with engagements so why not interact

      No I'm going to say I don't really mind that sometimes they go into too much detail with that if they say it casually then fine but there is one reviewer where she did a whole perfume review about different perfumes and she went into detailed situations and it got kind of like oooookay😄. But for the most part I like it when they mix it up. Two elegant ladies speaking so elegant about side eyes things.🥰 I remember a comment of mine under a video of an american fragrance influencer...I wrote to that lady: "This video contains fragrances up to a total of 1500-2000 dollars. These are hard times. One Tom Ford you showed us is on the official side 400 dollars for 100ml. You received them in PR, but for us is not the same". And she told me: I would NEVER recommend a 400 USD fragrance. I always give you a link with a discount". And I was like: Whaaaaat? 50 dollars discount for YOUR link??? And you know what...she talks more and more about Middle Eastern fragrances these days, because I don t think many people listens to her. My first middle eastern fragrance reviewer i started watching is a very nice lady really expressive and well spoken. I was fascinated by her and her reviews and the discovery of so many different perfumes and notes and affordable. Then i started getting other reviewers like yourselves in my feed. And thats when i was able to compare. She never ever has a real comment about the perfume she is reviewing. Everything is perfection. I asked her once when she was doing a declutter video. Fragrances she didnt really like that much etc. She answered me she doesnt have any. She loves them all and then every single perfume has a discount code where she makes a percent. Which is fine with me except that theres no way she likes everything the same. So its not authentic. I dont trust her when she says everything is perfection anymore. I watch you guys. I thought it would be easier for ME companies to ship to Africa as you are in closer proximity to the UAE than the US is 🤯. There is so much red tape with fragrances as they are considered flamable and dangerous to ship as well. Sigh i wish there was a way that wasnt so complicated.

    Some reviewers tooted their noses up at ME fragrances. Some didn't quite know much about them and others dabbled in ME frags here and there. For those who spoke negatively towards it. Of course people will question their motives.
    On the other hand why must we limit ourselves? Yes, it's fine to have a preference. I personally have a mix of designer, ME, and niche frags in my collection. I love the variety.
    Also, reviewers are often asked by their subscribers to review things they don't have in their collections hence why we're seeing an influx of ME reviews. Most ME reviewers also have western designer and niche frags in their collection. I think it's okay that we venture into things we aren't in use to. Your perfect signature scent could be out there and because you refuse to try ME designer or niche you may never find it 😂

So I always buy perfume oils and they are now starting to sell the more hyped perfumes for a higher price than online. For example inside the mall there was a jewelry counter and they were selling hyped Middle Eastern perfumes but they were saying that the ones on Amazon are fake and other ones online and they get theirs directly from the Middle East. But they were selling fragrances for 50 and up when you can get it for 20 and under. So they're trying to make a profit because they see what's going on

    Good morning Beauties!
    I have all types of fragrances but I enjoy looking out for the newest, I enjoy getting the full breakdown of fragrances, it helps me to get a better idea of what I'm interested in before I spend my money. Having said that, I DO question the integrity of some of these reviewers. Why? Because they love EVERYTHING but those same fragrances get decluttered. Or they will hype up a fragrance but when you see them smell it they look like they're in pain. Be real! If you don't like it, say that! If it's not something you would use, don't purchase it for views! Dont ask for subscribers and their comments but NEVER respond. Those are the reasons why I give the side eye.

    I agree wholeheartedly, I will say that ME Frags has changed so much in the last couple of years. I remember a time when old school ME fragrances were traditional DNAs. The westernized nose was not accustomed to oud, insense, Arabian rose, certain aromatics, blah blah blah. To many folks, they may have smelled cheap or strange. I started wearing ME frags in the late 70's and never stopped. With all these new dupes, that's relatively a new trend, and some ME fragrance houses, i.e., Swiss Arabian, that create East meets West fragrances giving Western consumers more relateable choices. People are falling down the proverbial "rabbit hole" reviewers included. Cee made a valid point, too. ECONOMY, folks are struggling, and these Arabian fragrances give affordable luxury. To sum it up, I see attitudes towards ME fragrances changing for the better. ❤ love hearing your thoughts, Adwoa 😊 Thank you.

      It’s always insightful when you comment. Being someone who has known middle eastern fragrances from the 70’s! Wow !!
      I believe there are those who do this genre genuinely because of budget and others because of their own reasons.
      Why is no middle eastern perfume on a top 10 list, on a favorites list, on best lists, on most dented lists if one genuinely loves and is obsessed with! Yes you don’t have to use it to show but have the perfumes been worn enough to give a fair final assessment?
      The lines are blurred ☺️

    • @DDH64812
      @DDH64812 2 месяца назад

      @adwoalovesfragrances5324 Agree, I see it too. Adwoa, because most folks rely on reviews to introduce themselves to or familiarize themselves with a fragrance, we, the viewers, rely on your assessments of fragrances. Transparency and honesty are ALL important. Keep doing what you do! I watch and will continue to be here because you cut ✂️ the BS and say it the way you truly think about the perfume. Tell us about the notes, how a fragrance wears on skin and clothing, what mood it generates, how it compares to other fragrances, value for coin spent, accessibility, new releases, and older favorites. Scent, performance, longevity, sillage, wearability, value, final thoughts, and please revisit fragrances in reasonable times for those who are waiting to check their personal boxes before committing to a purchase. If I get the information I require as a consumer, I will be here for the long haul. Hahaha, you're stuck with me! 😆 🤣 😂 thanx, I think you're awesome!

They will say something smells like vanilla ice cream and it's a full floral musk perfume. Absolute lie. 😅 I have officially given up on blind buying and listening to any of you frankly. At least with non middle eastern perfumes I have yet to experience outright lies on how people describe perfumes. I'm not even talking what they smell like on the skin.
