The company was called Rapid Booties. They did at one time try to sell them at retail stores like I think Menard's carried them for awhile but no one really bought them in the retail sector. The major purchasers for the booties were from Real Estate companies that would put them at open houses so people didn't track in dirt.

It’s a good hiding spot but the point of a safe is to be either too be hard to break into while also being big/heavy, bolted to something, or to protecting things from fire. If someone is robbing you and they knew it was a safe they would just steal the safe and break into it later
