Thank you for showing us what doesn’t work, too, like the cutlery organiser. It’s much more motivating when people tell you what to avoid than being left to figure it out yourself. And I avoid wasting money on the wrong product. Thank you!
I got rid of all my random dishes and bought all white. They look great and u don't have to worry about "matching". U can buy any piece from any brand and it works. Under the bed rolling bins are great but I prefer the ones with a cover as it gets really dusty there( I don’t access mine daily ) Silicon sponge holder that wraps around your faucet off Amazon is the best . The metal ones that go in your sink rust easily and rust your sink too

I also dislike visual clutter in the bathroom, but what I did instead of corralling everything on a shelf (although I do like that yours is also a towel holder) I bought a large IKEA medicine cabinet to replace the mirror over my sink. And to make it more streamlined, I recessed it into the wall. Absolutely LOVE this hidden, organized space.
Tip for your silverware organizer, the only thing I didn't like about mine was how it would slide around inside the drawer since my drawers aren't soft close. A little blue tacky putty under each corner solved the problem and made it feel like it was built in to the drawer :)
The cable concealer box is also good for babyproofing your house. I just installed three of them since our 5-month-old is starting to roll around a lot more.
Be careful that it doesn't become a step stool. My kids will use anything that is on the floor and has a horizontal surface as a stool, such as our robotic vacuum
I’ve been storing 50% of our clothes under our bed using diaper boxes lol. Years ago before we had kids the clothes were stored in Costco boxes. The only drawback for us is that one of our cats likes to sleep on top of the clothes in the boxes making them insanely hairy. Other than that, it works great. We have one small closet and no dresser so this is what works for us. Our bed is also on those black bed risers you can find anywhere for added height. I used a box cutter to make the boxes just under the height of the bed so they fit.

You’re in denial. If you to constantly reorganize then you have too much stuff which is the case for the majority of people. Almost all people can do with less.
I’m absolutely loving your videos, having suffered from addiction, loads of your helpful routine tricks are so important for me, so I thank you for that. I love anything that helps hide clutter , I need to take care of my pots and pans cabinet . Magazine holders are great for storing aluminum foil and boxes of storage bags
I find that a sturdy container about 7 inches high and 5 inches across will hold all of my silverware in one place, I keep it on the counter near the dishes and then when it’s time to eat a meal I put it on the table so if someone wants an extra knife or a spoon for a condiment it’s right there and no one has to go back in the kitchen to get one. Sure worked great when my kids were little and takes one second to put them back after washing. Leaves one more drawer for other things….like your spices 😎 As for storing knives we use a magnet bar because any time you put knife blades in a wooden slot you run the risk of bacteria growing in there and they are very hard to keep clean. A magnet bar is open and available wherever you screw it to a wall, maybe under an upper cupboard like ours is. Amazon has those too.
I am a hot mess when it comes to organization and clutter due to my severe attention deficit hyper disorder but my knives have been kept up over the sink in the kitchen far away from my baby girl who is now 30 years old by a strong magnetic strip I got at the hardware store a few decades ago it was meant to hold tools but I really like it because it keeps the knife edges very sharp because they don't touch any type of wood and it keeps them securely mounted on the wall
So, I'm whispering because my husband is still asleep. And your wife and baby probably are too. But I have to tell you, so far I've added the knife block, cable storage box, and bag/roll organizer for our kitchen drawers. You excite me. You talk "organization" to me. And I'll just keep taking screen shots of all the things we're about to buy, so I can share my excitement with my husband, once he wakes up!
I have that flatware organizer! You can absolutely get a plastic organizer anywhere, but the best part is the adjustability (also the rubber tabs on the bottom that keep it from moving around). Highly recommend getting the bamboo organizer. Still debating on the bamboo bag organizer because it only holds one gallon bag size and three smaller bag sizes because I can fit six boxes of gallon bags/small bags/plastic wrap/etc and stack them for twelve+ spaces, while also playing Tetris for best fit
I have a tiny kitchen, so I built a pan holder onto the side of my fridge, the one side holds my pants, the otherside (which is wrapped over the top of the fridge to the other side by my stove) has my magnetic knife holder and hooks to hold my measuring cups/spoons .. works great as I dont have many drawers or cabinets
I don't understand how you can hang the pans, which must be heavy, off of the fridge? What is holding the pans and stuff on the other side of the fridge?
@@monad.6742 I used 1inch thick board and cut/hung it in an upside down "U" shape to drape over the fridge (secured by 90° brackets), then glued (I used one full silicone tube size) it to the fridge... left it for 2 whole days for the glue to really hold, then I added my hooks for the pans on one side of the fridge, the other side (facing my stove) has hooks to hang my measuring spoons/cups, and my magnetic knife holder (just a half wall on my fridge).... due to the added glue everything hangs perfectly and I have the stoneware pans and cast iron pan hanging, I wish I could upload a photo for you to see
Another way to utilize your fridge is with magnetic spice holders instead of a spice rack. I have ones that magnetically stick to my fridge and they came with stickers to label what each spice is, along with blank ones to fill in your own. I absolutely recommend them as a space saver. Also, strong magnetic hooks. I have them on the side of my microwave that's above my oven and the hold my oven mitts or an extra towel. (and also one on the fridge that holds my goggles that I wear for cutting onions lol)
Great stuff. You seem to be able to designate drawers like they are going out of style. I am jealous of your drawer army. I only have four in my kitchn. I suppose that makes them more in need of staying organized....but they have to be multiuse. The life of a person that can dedicate a drawer for spices is unthinkable for me! lol
I only have for too. Utensils, cutlery and cooking knives and my stick blender next to the cutlery tray, spices (horribly messy) and konmari folded tea towels. My biggest gripe is my landlord decided it would be a good idea to have a hand built kitchen with no shelves, just cupboards like caves. 😖
I like the wood top on the cord storage box. That makes it look lux! TOTALLY like those pans with holders! AND the drawer organizers for utensils, knives and storage bags. Great stuff!
1:23 I usually choose to buy a bed with drawers. And do not leave any space under the bed. In fact, if you have children, their toys can easily roll under the bed. Because of the accumulated dust, you will be very reluctant to get in to get the toys out.
I use under bed storage bags from Amazon that are great for out of season or growing into hand me downs. The bags are great because you stuff them so full or just use it for a few things and just fold the extra fabric underneath.
I might be the weird one here: I like having my items on display (more likely to get used), and all of my bowls/plates/mugs are handmade pottery. It's taken years to collect them, and I love seeing them and using them every day!
Look up ‘clutterbug’ on yt, she explains people store things in 4 different styles, 2 of them like stuff hidden, but the other two are visual so like to see their stuff out! It’s really interesting and what she says works really well! 😃
Same. My dinnerware is colorful vintage that I like to have displayed. I also have vintage utensils - they're cool-looking and I use them. I use too many spices and herbs to bother having to open a drawer to get to them. They're displayed on a funky spice rack a friend made for me. I buy spices and herbs in bulk, so they're stored in cute little 4 oz. Ball jars with labels I made and printed. My kitchen just has a lot of vintage character and that's what I like.
I hate clutter too!! I’m constantly giving away things (not buying stuff). Stuff can cause clutter unnecessary stuff lol. Under the bed storage is amazing because i don’t like showcasing things on my dresser. I love a clean looking aesthetic it also makes me think better. Before i go anywhere my room has to be cleaned and straightened up. I have most of the items you’ve mentioned. So I 💯 percent agree with this video.
Thanks for the ideas. I have lots of mismatched dishes and cups and I cannot part with them. All of my elder family has passed, so I have some dishes from all of them... a few of my mom's coffee cups, especially the one she liked to drink out of, the two cups my grandparents drank out of... things from my aunt and uncle... a few plates from our family restaurant we had for 30+ years... my mom's wedding dishes from when she was younger... my blue (favorite color) coffee mugs from when I was in high school that mom and I found at a yard sale together... and now my husband has many glasses he has collected over the years. Oy vey. Some glasses and things are packed away, and while I would like to have it all the same, I also love the visual reminders I have of my loved ones each time I open my cabinets and use these cherished items.
Some of them are cool e.g. spice rack, cable hiders and pans. I personally don't like some of the others e.g. the bathroom unit or the shoe rack or sponge holder. I think it still looks very messy. Even though things are grouped together in one spot, its all on display and in your line of sight.
I liked some of the ideas and some I’m already using .What ever works .I love a tidy home and tidy cupboards I usually asked everywhere I worked ( I’m a Nanny) if I can tidy their pantry I find that people have very messy pantries .Everyone said Yes and they were very happy with the end result Great video 👍🇦🇺
I have one of those ziplock bag sorters as well. And it was such a game-changer! Our drawers are only 2.5" deep, so most boxes of baggies wouldn't fit in there. So they were either loose or they were not kept in the drawer. I did have to look for a while to find one shallow enough for our drawers (as most are 3" deep). I made my own labels with my label maker, bc I use 1 slot for compostable bags. I could NOT do the underbed drawers unless they had tops on them. WAY too much dust in my area. I put my knives in a similar sorter from Ikea, but I find it holds a lot less than just putting them into a drawer loose. I can't do the knife block or magnetic rail. Bc the Asian in the house says it's not Feng Sui or very bad luck or something. So I stick with the knife sorter for now. Love the cord concealer. I think it's Ikea that also makes a little basket that mounts under your desk to hold all of that. Nice to keep off the floor hut harder to see and sort. Really liked the video. Thanks for sharing!
Yassss... I so need the spice rack, cable box, shoe rack, definitely have to buy those pans (huge thank you, especially non-toxic is a huge plus) and definitely need a dish set ❤
That’s interesting that your new silverware holder didn’t work out for you guys. We have one somewhat similar that we absolutely love and can fit so much more things in the drawer
We put a large spice drawer like that when we built our new kitchen in 1994. Unfortunately we didn't make it big enough for all the herbs and spices we use, so it now has the extras on top...which makes it cluttered.
I cook a lot I'm not opening a drawer everytime I need a spice I've displayed then on shallow WALL shelf up high next to stove. 🔴Top two knives used mostly, I stab them through pages up top of pretty medium thick book displayed kitchen counter
I recently found out that a similar colour scheme reduces clutter a lot. So I bought a nice refillable shampoo and shower gel dispenser for very little money. The tone-in-tone look is so relaxing. Then I removed the cardboard banderole from the laundry pod container and it was grey underneath, matches the bathroom. I also wrapped a box with a lady product in black duct tape until I find a nicer container, the packaging was too busy and didn't match the colour scheme. It's amazing how much difference tiny changes make. Re cables: velcro cable binders are great as well, and there are also guide stickers to e.g. fixate cables at the back of our nightstand.
As a kid I used to wrap boxes in shelf paper. Bc I couldn't stand the visual clutter of the stuff under our sink. This was before all the cool organizing stuff was available. But it was definitely cheaper than anything you could buy!
Gabe! Another great vlog to help get everyone minimized and organized! It might be my OCD, but my spices are all alphabetical. So easy to find AND anyone new in your kitchen (ie. those friendly holiday guests) will find it much quicker to find the spices they are looking for when they volunteer to help you in the kitchen.)
We have so many things in our kitchen & have several of the same things you showed. Game changers for sure. I like the sponge holder & the towel rack . I need to get the spice rack in the cupboard & I bought pantry containers to clean up & keep things fresh. Working on it. New subscriber. Thank you.
I feel the same about those in drawer utensil holders. You have to have a very specific style of utensil in order to hold more than three or four pieces. I ended up throwing mine away and going with the wooden ones, too.
🤩 the knife organizer is fantastic, i loath my big clunky knife block holder and like you said, I have knives from different sets so some don't fit. Also 💗 those outlet boxes! Ive got 9 aquariums and the ability to disguise some of the cording more certainly had a more pleasant look. So many wonderful items mentioned and I've seen quite a few lately that work great for that person but just isn't me. We are getting all new cabinets, counters, and overall updated kitchen I've been seeking better storage ideas and will have so much more cabinets and countertop space. In short i want it not bare but not a wrecked mess of odds and ends just tossed there. Thank you for this video!
I got rid of my knife block too but I replaced it with a magnetic block to hold my knives. I also don’t like clutter but since I am very proud of my knife collection I don’t mind seeing them hanging on this beautiful wooden block waiting for me to use them.
I cannot stand clutter either. I'm well known in my group for spending hours cleaning up my desk space the night before a paper is due before finishing it. Yes, maybe I shouldn't wait until the last minute (good luck with that) but not letting the area become a shit show is key.
I love that you are so annoyed by clutter and ridiculous things. I am annoyed by most of life. I like the way you pop up in the video.. Love the yellow pots too.
idk if you know about it or not but there is an Alexa plug in that holds your Alexa and charges it at the same time so you don't have to have the cord or have it on your counter. We love it.
Great video, thanks Gabe! I have and love the spice organizer and the drawer knife holder. I just added to my Amazon cart the cable management box and the sponge holder 😊
For Alexa, there is an outlet wall mounted thing, that hang your speaker to the plug PLUS hides the cable, it basically makes your Alexa look like a plug on the outlet, I think you will appreciate it
I must do something wrong: I have purchased some of these products, and they still don’t solve the issue. I bought two under-bed drawers. They look fine and hold a lot, but since our bed is high and the kind of bed we have doesn’t permit a skirt, you still see the stuff (though we do have more storage). I got the cable concealers when I moved to my home. I find that though they help somewhat, the solution is less than elegant. My point, I guess, is that it helps to think carefully as we can about what stuff is going to look like in the end. I’m still searching for the perfect set up.
I put cup hooks into the underside of my old desk. The powerstrip hangs horizontally, the cords are bundled up with twist ties, I never even know they're there. Even across the room they are unseen.
these are great solutions - for people who have multiple drawers and cabinets. I'd like to see if somehow these can be 'hacked' for smaller places? also, if you could put a time stamp for each individual item that would be soooo helpful so I can go back and reference a specific item :)
For my utensils in the kitchen drawer I have wire mesh trays and dividers for my forks knives and spoons any crumbs falls through and believe me you get crumbs in your kitchen drawers buy it at Canadian tire Walmart had mine for 20 years think it’s still available
Not enough drawers to actually put the knife block away. BUT, loved your suggestions on the cable management box, pot organizer, etc. Went straight to the links and ordered from Amazon. All the ideas were stellar!
Where and how do you keep your produce that are kept at room temperature? I buy a lot of vegetables and fruits, and some don’t go into the fridge. While I like eating fresh fruits and vegetables, it’s a bit annoying to have a huge pineapple and onions sitting around. I have a basket on the counter, but it has so much presence.
I need the cord storage box lol. I've ton of cables on my desk (laptop, lamp, phone charger all plugged to extension cord that is also on my desk lol). It would definitely make my space look neat. Those are all really good ideas, thanks Gabe!
the shoe storage near the entrance is great! i love the concept of having a designated place for things like shoes, wallet/purse, and all the crap you carry in and out of the house. i don't want to waste brain energy on thinking about where to put shoes or looking for keys next time I leave. you have more important things to expel your brain energy on. Many of these items move things off the floor such as the shoe rack and the cable management box. this helps make the home roomba friendly. i like that. a similar concept is to eat the exact same breakfast everyday until you tire of it. my brain doesn't do anything for breakfast. I'm on auto-pilot to produce the same result every day. if you want to change what you eat, then change it but keep eating the new thing for weeks or whatever. the point is once the routine is developed, you don't use brain energy to do it. who wants to engage their brain on unimportant decisions before you've had food and coffee? i wish it were socially acceptable to do the same with a wardrobe. having 7 or 8 identical outfits for work would reduce that brain suck every morning too. if you've been in the military, you know you can get dressed in 5 minutes because you don't make a decision on which shirt to wear or whatever. of course, you can put thought into outfits for socializing or dating, but for work? pffft.
Wow! Mr. Gave! Amaaaazing ideas !!! I discovered the spice stair rack, woow! I have heard and read also that knives...should NEVER be displaced (feng shui mindset? dangerous?) That is one of a kind great video, thank you !
I only own 5 knives, my pocketknife/multitool, a big ole kitchen knife(for things like melons and vegetables), a tomato knife(works great on fresh bread too!) and two regular meal eating knives(not quite butter knives). The two sharp ones that arent my SAK have their own covers/sheaths, and i havent needed a special drawer. THAT SAID. The drawer organizer is BRILLIANT for anyone who actually uses more than a couple knives. My grandma has one too, it's so clever and looks so clean. Theres also no guessing which blade you're extracting as you can see a fair bit of the side profile. Every knife I've seen in a knife block has sticky handles- either they don't wash them well enough or they don't use the kinds I go to use, like, ever, and the handles are just coated in accumulated kitchen grease. 🤢
Your home must have a lot of drawers and cupboards. Unfortunately, many homes do not have that much storage space. But if I ever do have a home with all those drawers and cupboards, your video could be helpful!
Awesome ideas, thanks... I just recently learned about the cable box container...looking for a solution for clutter at work. I will be getting some at home too! 🙂

Most men don’t even want to take out the garbage and this guy is helping organize the house, i love it ! 😂❤
1:23 I usually choose to buy a bed with drawers. And do not leave any space under the bed. In fact, if you have children, their toys can easily roll under the bed. Because of the accumulated dust, you will be very reluctant to get in to get the toys out.
"Flat surfaces collect stuff" Truer words have never been spoken.
I use under bed storage bags from Amazon that are great for out of season or growing into hand me downs. The bags are great because you stuff them so full or just use it for a few things and just fold the extra fabric underneath.
Clicked on this video to give me an excuse to buy more stuff for my home under the pretense of getting rid of stuff. :D
I laugh at myself when I begin shopping for baskets for unnecessary things. Declutter First!!
Hi Gabe. I enjoyed your video, but don’t want to spend money on a new stuff. Could you please make another video how to Repurpose, Reuse and DIY! 😉🙂
I love all these products! Its so nice to have things organized and being able to find what you need. Thanks for the video. Have a great week!
@@FunnyShellBear doing this now! :)
@@FunnyShellBear ooo that seems fun! May help me figure out what the heck I can do to keep my place tidy 😂
@@FunnyShellBear Yes!
I like stuff around me especially stuff I like looking at - still can be neat and organised
Love the zip lock bag caddy. However the new silicon reusable zip lock bags are a earth saver. Love them.
I keep spices in the frig to keep them fresh. I don't use them often enough to leave them out. Great vid. Thanks, Gabe
What do you use to store them in the fridge?
I cook a lot I'm not opening a drawer everytime I need a spice I've displayed then on shallow WALL shelf up high next to stove. 🔴Top two knives used mostly, I stab them through pages up top of pretty medium thick book displayed kitchen counter
I had under the bed drawers. The cats loved them.
My mom's kitchen cupboards are all alphabetical, spices, soups more.
We have so many things in our kitchen & have several of the same things you showed. Game changers for sure. I like the sponge holder & the towel rack . I need to get the spice rack in the cupboard & I bought pantry containers to clean up & keep things fresh. Working on it. New subscriber. Thank you.
Those pans! Never heard of them before but I’m in love now. Everything I could want in cookware.
Getting more clutter for a clutter free look 😁
Nice to see a guy doing this. Nice personality and he’s to the point!
Hi I’m remodeling my 1921 home and I want to thank you for verifying all my purchases for de cluttering my new kitchen.
I got rid of my knife block too but I replaced it with a magnetic block to hold my knives. I also don’t like clutter but since I am very proud of my knife collection I don’t mind seeing them hanging on this beautiful wooden block waiting for me to use them.
I love an organized kitchen. Bought the baggie organizer, silveware organizer & next is the knife organizer. Thanks!
hi would you like to buy an organizer and get an affiliate job
Loved the video! Bought as many as would work for me. Downsizing and can’t wait to organize our new smaller home with all my gadgets.
If you still have the diagonal utensil tray, try flipping them around so the handles stick out. I do that with a plastic version.
idk if you know about it or not but there is an Alexa plug in that holds your Alexa and charges it at the same time so you don't have to have the cord or have it on your counter. We love it.
Great video, thanks Gabe! I have and love the spice organizer and the drawer knife holder. I just added to my Amazon cart the cable management box and the sponge holder 😊
hi would you like to buy a product and get an affiliate job
This makes me excited to do some decluttering again 😊
Try the Alexa holder/plug thing. It takes the Alexa off the kitchen counter. Trust me it’s worth it!
I just discovered your channel after I been purging my make believe studio loft lol. Watching this eases my mind and love that you added the link
Thank you! I enjoyed the video, especially the cable holder box. 🙂
For Alexa, there is an outlet wall mounted thing, that hang your speaker to the plug PLUS hides the cable, it basically makes your Alexa look like a plug on the outlet, I think you will appreciate it
I really like the spice rack and the cord box. I hope the cord box fits a power strip.
Live the under bed drawers! I’m definitely getting those!!
Thanks for sharing
I must do something wrong: I have purchased some of these products, and they still don’t solve the issue. I bought two under-bed drawers. They look fine and hold a lot, but since our bed is high and the kind of bed we have doesn’t permit a skirt, you still see the stuff (though we do have more storage). I got the cable concealers when I moved to my home. I find that though they help somewhat, the solution is less than elegant. My point, I guess, is that it helps to think carefully as we can about what stuff is going to look like in the end. I’m still searching for the perfect set up.
I did the same thing in our NEWLY BUILT Home, with our SPICE DRAWER!!!
It’s HEAVENLY!!!❤️💚❤️💚❤️
Everyone's needs as well as kitchens/bathrooms are different but you give a great example of how such gear can work for you.
I have two of the cable boxes (from Container Store) and absolutely love them!
Just put a round label on the top for the spices and write on those. Cheaper than buying the racks
I'm on auto-pilot to produce the same result every day. if you want to change what you eat, then change it but keep eating the new thing for weeks or whatever. the point is once the routine is developed, you don't use brain energy to do it. who wants to engage their brain on unimportant decisions before you've had food and coffee? i wish it were socially acceptable to do the same with a wardrobe. having 7 or 8 identical outfits for work would reduce that brain suck every morning too. if you've been in the military, you know you can get dressed in 5 minutes because you don't make a decision on which shirt to wear or whatever. of course, you can put thought into outfits for socializing or dating, but for work? pffft.
I LOVE the knife organizer! All the recommendations are so good and very minimalisty. ha!
you need only one knife
Yes! I bought the knife organizer a few years ago and absolutely love it. I don’t have as many knives as Gabe, so I bought one that is narrower.
For the Alexa, you could use a power socket holder. To clear that off the counter as well!
Wow! Mr.
Cord concealer box!! Life-changing!
Oh wow. I love that lid organizer that came with your pots and pans. But I just want to lid organizer! lol
There’s a class action suit against Berkeley right now because their filters don’t perform as claimed.
Nice place, it really does feel calming.
Hello from the UK 🇬🇧. Some more great tips. 👍🙂
I can't. I'm watching HOCUS POCUS!!!!😊
Onr needs a lot of drawers in the kitchen for these organisers.
just moved into a little APT from a condo...great video!
Thank you for the great videos and ideas ! I love to declutter
Zip bags and knife organizer is great
The knife organizer is the BOMB! Life changing!😁
