I can't handle the PLOT TWIST in HAWKEYE - Кино
To explain the ending: the watch had a S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on the back as well as the number 19. This indicates that Laura was Agent 19 of S.H.I.E.L.D. In the comic books, Agent 19 was the super hero known as Mockingbird. Hawkeye and Mockingbird were a romantic couple in the comics for awhile.
Clint's suggestion of a name at the end of ep 6 was followed by the title of the show meaning that Kate Bishop will take up the name of Hawkeye due to Clint's retirement.
Tony actually hinted to Laura's connection to Marvel during Age of Ultron
As far as I know, Kingpin doesn’t have any power except his knowledge.
Or in another hand, agents 19 was Bobbi Morse, from Agents of SHIELD. Absolute legend
@@rishid1932 The way I see it Agent 19, though neither is called it outright, Was Laura and when she retired she trained Bobbi who became agent 19 though she was never referred as that outright, Kind of likeKate Bishop becoming Hawkeye. Anyway thats my story and I am sticking to it lol.
Okay, but this is confusing because didn’t Adrienne Palicki already play Mockingbird on _Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D._ ?
Finding out Jack was just really awkwardly trying to relate to Kate the entire time was one of my fave parts.
I love Jack now
@@alexhefnerstvmovievault He's The Swordsman! (Sometimes was a villain and sometimes a good guy in the Marvel comics)
@@700EzalbI didnt know that!! thanks for sharingg
I just came across your channel a few days ago and I'm loving it. What part of Texas did you move from? I live in Fort Worth.
Kate and Yelena about to become besties just like Clint and Nat were!
Edit: Yelena is Kate’s best shot she didn’t take, at the end of episode 4 she has her dead while aimed at her, but doesn’t shoot. It’s literally Clint and Natasha all over again.
Yeah that was a good moment there! Exactly! ✌
I love the paralels
Awe I didn’t make this connection 🥹 I love this so much.
in the comics they kind off hate each other so idk man
@@xAVErRvISCARRa awe I like this better 😅
Now you know why Clint's wife Laura is so cool and unfazed about anything having to do with him being Hawkeye. She's a retired SHIELD agent, and her agent number is a nod to the character Mockingbird form the comics, who was at one point Hawkeye's wife. That's also probably how she knew Natasha and was clearly friends with her too.
It was just a little nod to the comics. Mockingbird does marry Clint in comics and has the super solider serum.
Netflix Kingpin: Realistic strong person with body armored suit.
MCU Kingpin: A more close adaptation to the comics. not superhuman and yet has a ridiculous amount of natural strength and indestructible body mass.
I have a suspicion he has had some super-soldier serum. If Sharon Carter was actually not the Power Broker but was instead answering to Kingpin, that would b amazing.
@@charlie53echo she was revealed as the power broker, so that wouldn’t work, but maybe something similar might!
I thought the post credit scene would’ve ended with a zoom out to a bald head in the audience or something, which would’ve made it so there’s no denying he’s alive.
Well.. supposedly not superhuman but has durability and strength beyond what a human could ever have so is what superhuman is.
So in a spiderman cartoon it explains kingpins strength they say that he is roughly 350 lbs but only 2% is body fat the rest is pure muscle. Around 1:52 ruclips.net/video/Oq8kPo3tyGY/видео.html
The one thing that would have made the end credits scene better: Scott Lang in the audience saying "I wasn't even there!"
Feels like everything Scott appears in, he plays such a small role.
@@JaggerG There are no small roles, only small actors.
That's actually brilliant! 😂
Or Bucky and Sam watching!! 😂😂
@@JaggerGlove this comment!
Seeing them finally reveal that Laura Barton was Mockingbird was my favorite part of the show. It really makes more sense now that Fury had her trick Tony so he could talk to him. Plus, she’s always so understanding when Clint has to leave and Clint feels like his family is safe with just her around. She was a badass agent. I just wish we could have gotten at least one flashback of her in action as an agent 19!
Except why did Echo want the watch so bad? The track suit were after it so hard at the beginning, and I don't know why they cared?
@@colereed7411 maybe to somehow reveal who it was?
way to be a "badass" without doing any fighting
wow i didnt even know that since i didnt watched the show
@@colereed7411I got the feeling there were secrets stored on it or something.
Hawkeye was a great series. Likely better than if they did a Hawkeye movie. Gave time for the story to breathe. It really worked.
Jack was never bad. He was only ever framed by the story as "suspicious" and then literally framed by the mother. After it comes out that Eleanor is behind this, theres no reason to suspect Jack anymore. Thats why the story starts framing him as the good guy with cool moments after the reveal.
Jack in the comics is involved in a ton of sketchy things. So even though he is overall good, he still does a lot for personal gain.
@@Maratonkata This is not Jack in the comics tho.
@@Serryy It is pal. I've read tons of comic books in my life. Jack is also called Swordsman in the comics. And as i said, even though he is overall good, he still does a lot of sketchy things.
@@Maratonkata I understand that Jack in the MCU is based on Jack in the comics. Jesus. That doesnt mean theyre the same person. Just because comics Jack is sketchy, doesnt mean MCU Jack is.
@@Maratonkata the MCU is obviously not in line with the comics. Just because he did some villain stuff in the comics doesn't mean that he ever did anything bad in this show
Hawkeye is straight up the best product to come out during Phase 4 and that is a hill I will die on. It's grossly underrated and did the best job at setting up a successor to an Avenger.
The further you get into Daredevil, the more you'll understand why Kingpin is the way he is. He's really a deep and complex character.
This show deserves sooo much more props. Mean, Hawkeye teams up with a LARP team? Yes. Amazing. Give it Emmys
This takes place after the Daredevil Netflix series. Potentially in it's own timeline, and fans speculate that the Netflix shows are a "variant" from a different timeline so the Disney+ shows aren't as violent. Laura (Clint's Wife) was a SHIELD Agent who retired to have kids. Hence the Agent 19 watch. And the end credits scene was just because the producers loved the full musical number so much and wanted fans to see all the work the cast put into it. And the two lead singers are from RENT and The Technicolor Dreamcoat respectively. They're Broadway pros.
For real, Adam Pascal was a great casting “get,” I about peed myself when I saw him on stage as the lead for the musical number. 😂
Kingpin is Maya's adoptive father, in the comics she has the ability to copy her enemy's movements in seconds or "photographic reflexes" and I hope we see that in the mcu. her alias is Echo and that is the name of her confirmed series, in this Kingpin will return as in the comics Echo/Maya shot him but he survived, and also very likely Daredevil will appear, and also in the comics they have a romance
Also, the new suits are directly from the Matt Fraction run of the Hawkeye series about a decade ago now. The premise of that series was basically what does an Avenger (Hawkeye) do on his day off. Its where we get Lucky the Pizza Dog, BTW. Totally updated Hawkeye in a great way.
The owl in the tree is a real world reference to a wild owl nicknamed Rocky, found in the 2020 Rockefeller christmas tree after it had been set up & decorated. Fortunately Rocky was returned to the original environment where the tree had been harvested.
It's also brilliantly tongue in cheek referenced to both owls & hawks, as they are categorically of the same clade, predatorial Telluraves. Vis a vis an owl eying Hawkeye & vice versa, Aves to Aves if you will.
The watch implies Clint's wife Laura was once a SHIELD agent, which was how Clint met her as they were part of the same agency. Furthermore her designation call sign Agent 19 aligned with Mockingbird (avian, wife to Hawkeye, birds of a feather, natch.), an agent who shares similar standing in respect to Sharon Carter and Natasha Romanoff.
In later seasons of the MCU show "Agents of SHIELD", the call sign must of been passed on when Laura Barton left service, because another character Bobbi Morse shares the Mockingbird call sign.
This was legit probably my second favorite of the Marvel Disney series they've done so far..lol, I think they should do more like this. They can introduce new characters, give others more backstory and stuff, and do them as little one offs like this.
The 'name' Clint was referring to was the 'Hawkeye' that popped up on the screen. They both go by Hawkeye in the comics.
The owl was kind of a real life Easter egg. There was a baby owl that was found at the Rockefeller tree a few years ago (The tree in the episode).
Hawkeye's wife Laura was played by Linda Cardellini .She was the voice of Lylla the Otter in Guardians of the Galaxy 3
my favorite little detail is how in the car scene early on, Kate yells that his arrows need to be labeled, and at the end when they make more trick arrows they all have label maker labels on them
Praying for Hawkeye in his recovery. Love Jeremy Renner
Seeing people's reactions to Kingpin's insane invulnerability is always hilarious to me. 😂
"Kingpin!? What the fuck!?" Basically summarizing everyone else's reaction when he turns up.
Them showing the Blip from the point of view of the victims was absolutely epic.
Yes, Kingpin does have special powers too. He's the peak of human durability and strength, much like Captain America, but without the serum to get there. He's just naturally talented that way.
MCU Captain America (Steve Rogers) is super human. Comics Steve is peak human tho

@@jovanleonardi1574 I think there should have been a plot about Jack being Clint's former mentor when they meet they'd be like "hey, long time no see"
@@jovanleonardi1574 Yea they totally changed his character for this show.
Kingpin was shot in the face in the comics and survived but he became blind.
The guy with the sword/Kate's mothers fiancé is in the comics and in the comics he was a villain that went straight and became an Avenger named Swordsman.
I love Yelena's scene in Kate's home with the macaroni.
During a live watch-along of Black Widow, Kevin Feige answered a fan’s question on twitter through the Marvel Studios account. The fan asked if we were ever gonna know whether Yelena survived the Snap. At the time, Kevin responded that we’d know soon. I had a feeling that Yelena did vanish even before watching Hawkeye.
There are a handful of people who vanished for five years and lost someone dear to them by the time they returned. For instance, Monica Rambeau lost her mom Maria to cancer during that time period.
I bring this up because Yelena has it the worst. Her sister Nat gave her life for the soul stone which was required to resurrect all the vanished. That last whistle at the end of Black Widow 2020 was probably the last time the two sisters saw each other in person, and only Clint was the closest to saying goodbye to the fellow Avenger.
Now that you made it this far, I can confirm that Yelena will return in The Thunderbolts coming July 2024.
They’re a team of anti-heroes. The lineup so far includes the following:
Yelena
Valentina
Bucky
Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster
Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian
John Walker/U.S. Agent
and Ava Starr/Ghost from Ant-Man and the Wasp.
In the meantime, Alaqua Cox will reprise her role as Maya Lopez in her own show called Echo. That’s her superhero code name. It’s coming some time in the middle of this year as part of phase five.
Next up is Spider-Man: No Way Home. There’s even an extended version on digital. If you’re gonna watch the extended cut, let someone who has seen it buy or rent it then press play for you, or you’ll be immediately spoiled.
My friends were all spoiled by the extended cut. The beginning thing that they show is so dumb. I was pissed.

If you're confused about the Daredevil connection this is roughly 8 or 9 years after the end of Daredevil season 3 in the timeline so there's a pretty big separation where alot of things could have happened that we don't know about yet and will hopefully get explored in the new Daredevil show coming out next year
How they re-framed D'Onofrio to make him look even bigger was great!
How?
I think Vincent even got bigger? and framing of course
Bro. This really did a good job capturing the spirit of the comics run this is based on, bro.
The bit with the hot sauce was adlibbed as Florence Pugh really likes it. Also in the comics, Jack was Clint's mentor, turned villain, turned Avenger named Swordsman.
The "Thanos was right" is especially heartbreaking for Clint because he lost his family because of Thanos, and lost Natasha while trying to get his family back. His life was ruined because of Thanos yet people were saying the Avengers were wrong. And yea Ronin went on a killing spree on street thugs and criminals, but he did it out of rage and not for justice. IMO kinda similar to the Punisher.
Also I don't read comics but I heard that in the comic, Maya's character did shoot Kingpin in the eye and blind him. I thought it didn't make sense for such a small character to do any harm on Kingpin, but when I heard that it was comic accurate, ig Maya isn't that small of a character. Maybe we'd see more of her in the future.
Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin is my favorite villain from the MCU. Just masterclass scary.
The owl may have been a reference to a real incident that happened at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in 2020 - a tiny Saw-Whet owl was found in the tree, having hitched a ride when the tree was cut down in upstate New York all the way to Manhattan. The owl was dubbed Rocky and was rescued and released back into the wild. It was a bit of a meme for a while (because who doesn't love a picture of a tiny, cute owl wrapped in a blanket?) and provided some lighthearted news here in New York at a time the city was really struggling during the second spike of Covid. She's inspired at least one children's book and a new Rockefeller Center mascot, Roxy the Owl.
Happy to hear that the movie to Hawaii went well!! Here are some Hawkeye Closing thoughts and points!
Quick sad fact. The music that plays when Clint looks over the edge of the building where Kate is dangling is the same music used when hanging off the cliff with Nat before she sacrifices herself.
While Clint was operating under the Ronin mantle, he basically was trying to take down the underground crime world. The idea was “why do these criminals get to live when my family couldn’t” so while the people he killed were bad guys, they weren’t necessarily justified deaths.
Yes this is Kingpin from daredevil! And is the same actor! While on this note, the daredevil show is not part of this timeline. It’s been confirmed that this is the same character with a very similar story but is not the exact same guy. It’s part of the multiverse and basically the daredevil show exists in a timeline that is very very similar to the MCU proper.
Also on the Kingpin note, he’s the reason why this finale didn’t land all that well with some audiences. They weren’t happy that he wasn’t as violent as he was in the daredevil series. I think most were expecting this iteration to be the exact same person.
So great value Jon snow wanted to kill Maya because Kingpin said (along the lines of) “Maya has turned on us. What will we do about it?” In other words, take her out.
So what happens with kingpin being shot in the face? We don’t know yet! In the comics, the same thing happens and he’s just blinded for while but Maya (aka Echo) is getting her own show so hopefully we will get to see what happens next there!
The watch was Clint’s wife’s because she used to be a shield agent. That was the shield logo on the back. If you look up the agent number that’s engraved, it’s shows as the character Mockingjay. Just a little backstory into how they probably met.
And finally a fun fact!! I have a friend that worked on this show! She worked within the costuming department! I can’t wait for the day I can tell you that I’ve worked on a movie that you’ve reacted to 😂
Congratulations on the move Alex!!
So excited to see you react to this show, especially the Fisk reveal now that you’re watching Daredevil. Great timing!
In the comics, when Echo shoots Kingpin, she doesnt kill him, but blinds him. That's why his last line is about family not always seeing "eye-to-eye". 😉
The idea is she is Hawkeye. Not lady Hawkeye or anything like that. She’s just Hawkeye.
Yup, he says “I’ve got an idea” then the Hawkeye title comes up on the screen
I LOVE how Jack “Swordsman” was just naturally suspicious and just a really eager sword enthusiast who never got to use his skill and not a significant dynamic character with an agenda of any kind, good or bad
41:15 "What? What's the idea?" He asked while staring right at the answer on screen. :D
Watching people blipping back in and just having no clue what's going on is like my favorite thing I really want a show that's just about people coming back in various places and scenarios.
This is different Kingpin than the Daredevil show its got the same actor for Kingpin but the 2 Universes are different, though I'm sure they'll keep some of the details the same more of the MCU Variant.
Daredevil was released in 2015, and is set some time after the first Avengers. So the entire Netflix MCU series takes place before Infinity War.
FYI, Jack is NOT involved in any of the criminal sketchiness. In the comics, he's a longtime Avengers nemesis known as The Swordsman. His placement here was a complete misdirect to keep people off the scent of Kingpin being the bad guy to look out for. Really does work nicely!
Kate becomes,... Hawkeye. Clint's wife is the former SHIELD agent, Mockingbird. That was the SHIELD watch he found. The Echo/Kingpin arc is from the comics. This Hawkeye series has a momentum that really catches you like no other. It just delivers everything it sets up WAY more than you expect it to. It may be Marvel's best TV show so far. There is just so much juicy back story to Hawkeye (some of which is barely even touched on yet,... like his wife). Jeremy Renner virtually OWNS this part. He would be ideal for the future OLD MAN HAWKEYE arc from comics. Vincent D'nofrio virtually OWNS Kingpin live action part. If not Daredevil, we will definitely see him again in the Echo TV series. I was surprised to see the Pym Particles arrow used. It was a surprise when it appeared in comics. But how cool is that??
Hawkeye is a phenomenal show, it’s about damn time! Daredevil is outside of the MCU, I don’t believe it’s canon yet. But they brought back Kingpin (Vincent D’onofrio) to reprise his role as Kingpin because he portrayed the character perfectly! & Kingpin definitely survived that gun shot! Not a spoiler because we still haven’t seen him yet, we just know he can survive it.
Classic tv rules: you don’t see the body, they ain’t dead lol
Actusl spoiler from where they go from this in the comics:
Yeah, he DOES survive this, he takes a bullet to the freacking head by maya and drops to the ground "dead", but he is later revealed still alive, with temporary vision lost due to the dmg the bullet made, with something covering both his eyes to protect them while recovering
@@stevenweber7793 FACTS
One of the few comics I’ve read was exactly one with Daredevil, Maya and Kingpin. Can’t wait to see more of Vincent D’Onofrio
_Daredevil_ is not outside of the MCU. It was announced as being in the MCU when it first came out & in 2022 both D'Onofrio & Charlie Cox said it was canon. Could Marvel decanonize it in the future? yes. as of now, it's never been decanonized.
Marvel Standard Story-Telling. If you don't see a corpse, they're not dead. Sometimes they're still not dead when you DO see a corpse.
With the "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch" song playing over the reveal of Kingpin in the end of episode 5, fun fact:
Dr. Seuss and Stan Lee served in the same Army regiment in WW2, they were also the only two soldiers with the designation of "Army Playwright", they wrote the scripts for the US Army videos like "how to properly handle your carbine" and "how to keep your army issued locker clean".
My biggest question is what happened to Daredevil and Kingpin during the snap.
My guess is that Kingpin stayed and took further control of the city and then Matt Murdock gets snapped - I think it would be crazy interesting to see the snap from Matt's perspective, kind of like seeing it from Yelena's.
I think what makes Kingpin so intimidating is the actor who plays him is fucking massive lol
Per the comics, Wilson Fisk has no super powers. He just over trains his body to the point where he is over 300 lbs of almost solid muscle. Kingpin has gone toe to toe with various super powered people and held his own, notably Spider-Man. A truly terrifying villain and, even after being shot in or near his face, I’m not convinced he’s dead. No body, no death, I hope he turns up again.
Another fun fact the man who is Kate's mother's boyfriend in the comics was originally the one who taught Hawkeye how to fight
Swordsman IIRC, right? Jacques something-French.
First off, congratulations on the move it looks gorgeous there. Most likely Kingpin isn’t dead because Daredevil is getting his own MCU show. Also Echo (Maya) is getting her own show too so we might learn more about what really happened there. Also just a fun fact, Jack is based on another Marvel character called the Swordmaster who was one of the people who originally trained Clint in the comics.
You know it's actually funny that it's actually because of the episode Ronin from this series with Elena playing Sriracha the mac and cheese that I actually started doing it and I love it's really good. I highly recommend doing it
Apparently that part was improvised by Florence Pugh, She loves spicy food
It is believed by many that since the shot to Kingpin by "Echo" was Off-screen, that it means he survived. Possibly playing off some comics, but who knows. :)
The Idea for the name is, I believe, implying she would go by Hawkeye, as the Title Card shows right after it.
The Watch is apparently from her (Laura Barton's) days at Shield. I don't personally think they'll go anywhere with this, just a nod to her character in the comics.
Yeah, there's no way they killed Fisk, especially off-screen. Kate Bishop is definitely now Hawkeye as well, yes. They more than likely won't do anything with Laura being Agent 19/Mockingbird and the watch is more than likely just a reference but they may now involve the actress a little more with SHIELD, especially once the later Secret Invasion film comes out since they're dropping here that she was affiliated with SHIELD. Be weird as fuck if they just randomly make her a superhero again.
I always liked the way Eleanor laughs @03:42 and then looks at Kate. It's so natural and realistic - great acting in that scene.
41:30 that’s Adam Pascal. Super awesome Broadway star. He has been singing since the 1990’s when he originated the role of Roger in RENT.
I heard his voice and fist pumped the air-what a FANTASTIC cameo. MCU has a lot of pull to get a cameo like that. He’s so talented.
Kate's speech about Hawkeye saving her ... To tears man. To tears
The guy that starts off the musical number is Broadway legend Adam Pascal. As a musical theater nerd, it blew my freaking mind when I saw him.
Something that always bugged me in this series: Grylls abusing his job as a firefighter to steal from a burning building; the cop casually agreeing to tamper with evidence for personal gain. I dunno, maybe that's just me.

"Hawkeye (Season 1)" is set in December 2024.
Daredevil takes place in the aftermath of the first Avengers movie.
The whole plot revolves around the devastation caused by Loki and the Chitauri on the real estate of Hell's Kitchen, and Kingpin buying up all the cheap damaged property for his criminal empire.
So fun that you said "that's very daredevil like" ahahahahaha, I totally loved this series, I'm pretty sad that Jeremy is gonna take long to recover, Hawkeye totally deserves a 2nd season.
The musical thing: we hate it at the beginning because we're sympathising with everything that the characters lost. We love it at the end because they gained things along the series.
I really want season 2 now and hope they don't screw it up
Hawkeye, Bucky, The Falcon and Wanda all got great character development in their series.
My fave of the marvel tv shows. I love an underdog. I love a character of the team who isn't the height of power but fills a niche and comes out strong and hard with everything to lose.
Daredevil [netflix] is years before Hawkeye: the first season is about 2015, after "the New York incident" [Avengers 1] and each season was about a year later until the last in 2018.
Guy who plays Jack is a key player in Better Call Saul - incredible actor.
Kingpin getting shot off screen with the "eye to eye" line Is a reference to Daredevil when Kingpin also loses his sight, at least temporarily.
Kingpin is my favorite villain and this is the best actor to play him. Can't wait for the next Daredevil (and soon Punisher I hope)
In comics Kingpin was extremely durable. In Daredevil S1 they made him more like a human. Actually there was a scene in the comics where Kingpin gets shot in the face and he still survived
Some fun FACTS: at the en of no way home, when spidey swings in the city, he passed the Christmas tree that appeared in hawkeye.
Yelena and kate's relatioship is linda built like Clint and Natacha 's.
Yelena is bad ass and Florence Pugh absolutely knocked it out of the park, switching so effortlessly from hilarious to heartbreaking. 1000/10 no notes.
Easter egg: The owl in the Christmas tree was said to represent Natasha watching over Clint.
Id make a high powered recoil arrow. Where it sends people flying from its impact or if you shoot below your feet it would propel you upward to scale tall areas or over your enemy.
Kingpins suits are bullet proof (idk of hes dead, pry not) and If I'm correct, this takes place after daredevil.
I read that Florence kept messing up the scene to keep eating the macaroni and cheese which is the most relatable thing ever!
Still say that I wish that Yelena had returned with Clint and Kate to spend Christmas with the family. I'm sure the kids could tell Yelena a bunch of stories of all sorts of activities they did with Aunt Nat.
hes adverse to having her help because the last person who came in clutch a lot clutched herself off a cliff and he doesnt wanna open up to that possibility again
@Alex Hefner This iteration of Kingpin is the same actor, but it is an entirely different character than the one in the Daredevil series. The watch at the end has a SHIELD logo on the back of it. His wife was once a SHIELD operative called Mockingbird, so for Clint, he needed to take the watch so that he could protect his wife's identity.
The guy playing Tomas, the tracksuit guy who has girlfriend problems and takes advice from Kate, is a well known Polish actor. He usually plays in romcoms and dramas (played John Paul II in his biopic). I found it more funny to see him in this role because of all his previous work. He's always either a serious character or a romcom 'clumsy' guy or something similar. There was just something really funny about him playing a dumb goon and getting beaten up.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the 4 Netflix shows are sort of spur timelines that the TVA has now pruned. Kingpin is the first rebooted character to came back, with Daredevil showing up in Spiderman No Way Home as his civilian persona.
The comic that this serie is based on is SO FUCKING COOL
Matt Fraction's Hawkeye is a hell of a run
Here's some trivia since you kept mentioning Daredevil. Echo, the deaf villain throughout the show, is originally from the Daredevil comic series. And, probably unsurprising to most, was meant to be a love interest for our blind vigilante hero. For a very long time, I'm talking decades here, she hasn't been a prominent character in any series. I would love to see her make an appearance in the Daredevil show! Although I do think she fits wonderfully in HAWKEYE, and that it was a good choice of a comeback for the character. The actress who played her, Alaqua Cox, is deaf in real life with a prosthetic leg. None of that was CGI or directed acting performance with sign language, and I absolutely love that they gave that kind of role to someone who can portray it perfectly. She has become the first major Indigenous character - and only second deaf one - to be prominently featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I honestly look forward to seeing her again in any film, as Echo or otherwise!
Edit: fixing grammar errors.
Oh wow!! You moved from Texas to Hawaii!! Amazing.
I'm here on Texas , born and raised, and truly want to do something like that for a few years
Regarding the timeline… Daredevil series takes place years before this series. Also; no body, no death ;)
Not many realize Jack is actually the Swordsman from the comic books who spent time as an Avenger.
Going into this show I really didn't expect any amazement or mindblowing moments..and I'm pretty glad that I didn't and Marvel still managed to blow me away... No matter how underrated this series might be I loved that the stakes of this show's plot weren't too high! How it remained as a street level detective type of show while still including the action aspect of it as well with Yelena coming into play as well! The way it integrated many mini plots to like Yelena going after Clint, while introducing Kingpin and Maya's story about revenge against Ronin... It blended so well..And I loved that the story revolved in a very balanced way around both Clint and Kate and their growing father and daughter or Student and Mentor relationship... This show is honestly one of the best ones Marvel has done by far! It's really tough to find a flaw within this show...Seriously...
Thanks for reacting to it Alex! And I'm so glad you're finally in Hawaii safe in your new home! Just something you might wanna know.... Daredevil obviously takes place before Hawkeye lol... Also there's gonna be an upcoming Marvel show called Echo... and it'll revolve around Maya's character from this show.... Im so hyped for it! As always thanks for always entertaining us!!!
Kingpin is not dead. Its a reffrence to the comics when he was shot in the eye
In the comics- Jack is a character named “The Swordsman”.
My fav was when maya asked Clint who killed ronin and he signed „black widow“
It reminds me of that scene. When nat jumped to get the mind stone she killed the chance of ronin returning bc Clint would have his Family back.
Vincent D'Onofrio is so damned good... definitely a favorite villain... this series was definitely a pleasant surprise, loved the relationship with Clint and Kate...
35:00 People never talk about this, but the reason Kingpin can just tank that arrow s because his bmi is like 99% muscle. He’s extremely hefty, but all of that weight is canonically solid functional muscle and wildly dense bones. Hence him ripping the car door off like it was cardboard.

I actually subscribed to Disney+ when it first launched because of the announcement of this show, and that it would be based on the Fraction/Aja run. Hawkeye and Hawkeye had great chemistry in their books, and I this show did not disappoint me.
Daredevil took place back around 2013, shortly after the first Avengers.
39:06 This takes place many years after Daredevil, and Kingpin is likely still alive
The owl is based on real events. There was literally an owl nesting in the tree in Rockefeller Center a few years ago.
For timeline reference, Daredevil seasons 1-3 take place in 2015-2018. This show takes place in 2024.
