Couple things:
Thank you guys so much for being part of this incredible community! Love yall so damn much!
1) my question about this movie is when paul rudd pretended to be sick and vomiting. how did he know that was the excuse his daughter gave to the FBI?
2) i didn't understand the second end credit.... help.
The second end credit was just a new ant pet playing drums after the apocalypse. In reality, it was programmed to do as Scott did when he was on house arrest, and since everyone was gone/dusted they can’t stop him from doing his drum solo.
Likewise. Bless your sweet heart.
For the second end credit, your guess is good as mine. An oversized ant playing drums for few seconds... Prolly used to deflect the big WTF moment when Hope and her parents were snapped.
I think the end credit was one more ha ha moment and then bring up the announcement with Antman and the Wasp coming back with a question mark at the end. It's like saying "We're just kidding....but are we?"😈
The second end credit scene was just showing more of the aftermath of the snap. The emergency broadcast message on the TV and the complete silence with nobody there. I think they threw in the ant for comic relief but it didn't help ease our crippling depression.
They need to make a Disney+ series that's just Luis giving recaps of all the MCU movies. They could call it, "Luis Explains Everything."
THAT. IS. GENIUS!
No, no. Luis AND Korg.
@@cirrustate8674 No, after Love and Thunder I'm kinda sick of Korg.
Bruh !!!!! They need to do this!
@@joshuabean7805 How TF can you be sick of Korg?
Let's all give the Ant-Man franchise a big thank you for normalizing positive co-parenting relationships.
👏👏
Why should we normalize broken families?
@Kyle McCormack while it's true that it's a broken family, it's okay to applaud when a family that's already broken carries on with respect for one another for the sake of the children.
@@Grizzloxfr
@@Grizzlox110%!
After watching this fun movie in theaters, we all walked out depressed again seeing that after credits scene.
You found the Ant playing the drumkit depressing? I guess you are actually referring to the Mid-Credits Scene where Hope, Hank, and Janet are dusted? Yeah I know... you are welcome.

Imagine marinating in all that despair for one effing year before endgame came out. ONE YEAR!!!
Yeah. It was insane. Marvel was my escape from my mental health through high school and then infinity war just… Loki getting the glow stick treatment 😭
You're not the only one who said that Louis needs to do a recap of each and every Marvel film and series. A lot of people have been begging for that to happen because it would be funny as hell!
I would have been happy if Endgame was just Louis recapping everything up to that point.
with madisynn, the new series
Seriously, I'd take a 30 minute long short of him just summing up the whole thing.
It really emphasizes how painful watching these movies as they came out was. I walked out of Infinity War in a cloud of emotions not knowing up from down. We didnt even know that Engame was going to be called Endgame for months after.
It gave us time to breathe for whats to come
While now as we see avengers 5 and 6 are in the same year
@@joshbrosh6626 it built the anticipation up to wild levels, that is for sure.
To be fair Infinity War and Endgame released 364 days apart so thats 2 Avengers within a years time lol
@@coolguy473 yeah
For real man, back when it was just Infinity War part 1 and 2 lol
@@coolguy473 you got a point

I cant wait to see him realize he actually needed Ant Man the entire time.
Dude.. shaddap shuddap shaddup!
(but also yes!)
And there goes Alex, asking himself a question he actually knew deep inside😂
Alex: What does the "10" in "Studios" mean? I should know that... 10 years??
Me: It's the te... Yes, Alex, 10 years👏👏
Alex - sees Lawrence Fishburne: I know this guy.
Me - nodding my head in anticipation.
Alex: Is he from John Wick?!
Me - shaking my head in disappointment.
I grew up with him as Cowboy Curtis from Pee Wee's Playhouse. And also the Matrix
I knew him from CSI
Well Lawrence actually was in John Wick part 2 and 3.
@@JustWasted3HoursHere I liked him in the John Wick Films
@@JustWasted3HoursHere It's just Alex's lack of pop culture awareness that he associates Lawrence Fishburne with John Wick, which also means that the man hasn't watched the Matrix, which is a criminal offence in my opinion.😁 (that last line was a joking exaggeration btw.) Yet another cultural zeitgeist movie that Alex hasn't watched. Smh.
28:13
Those are tardigrades, also known as 'water bears'. They're a crazy little creature that can survive far better than we can in pretty much every environment you can think of including space. You can even dehydrate them for 10 years and they'll still be alive if you put them in a drop of water. They just come back like a kind of zombie.
On a side note, this movie is not directly connected to the MCU (MCU adjacent), but still has a stinger scene at the very least attached to it, but before Spider-Man: No Way Home is watched, would you consider watching Venom: Let there be Carnage?
Great reaction bud.
As far as your questions go, I assumed for #1 that either Scott heard Cassie talk to the FBI, or they've used that excuse before and expected it.
And I think #2 as others have said was to add some comic relief while driving Thanos' snap home.
Also - as part of "why wasn't Ant Man in Infinity War?" - Ant Man lives in San Francisco and the battle was in Wakanda. In Infinity War he's mentioned and Rhodey explains that both Ant-Man and Hawkeye were on house arrest and unavailable, so that tied into this movie nicely.
The end there triggers the light bulb of "ohhhh this is why it's important to endgame" and also helps drive the point home that it wasn't just the Avengers that lost people, EVERYONE did. Captain Marvel (and its' post credit scene) has similar plot points for Endgame. Endgame is epic enough that you don't wanna get confused with a lot of "wait, why is that there and why is that happening?" stuff.
It's also worth noting that there is Ant Man 3 (called Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania) that is coming out next year and kicking off Phase 5. (We can talk more about phases 4-6 when you get done w/ phase 3)
Hang in there - Endgame is definitely worth the wait, you'll slap your gooch so hard you'll need crutches for a week, (I dunno what that means either) lol.
Cheers
"she is pretty" saying Michelle Pfeiffer who was among the most beautiful humans ever existed when young, is pretty, is an understatement of a millennium hehe
the thing you may have missed from the second post credit scene was the TV broadcasting the emergency alert system.. Just another little thing to show you how bad the world is at that moment.
OH I never made that connection!
If you filter the audio you can hear screams, ambulances and police sirens in the background.
This film is actually really important to Endgame. Obviously, you didn't know that going in buy wanted to mention it if you happened to read this comment. Regardless, people give the Ant-man films shit but I really enjoy them. They're something different and, like you said, mostly low, grounded stakes. Also, I absolutely love that it doesn't take the typical "father/step-father hate each other" trope. It's nice to see that it's a pretty happy healthy situation for everyone.
Jesus, I don’t get people. Literally anything that you can say that includes the words “you doing know that going in” is a _SPOILER._ Fucking Jesus, why would you people _WANT_ to do that to a _reaction channel????_
Can't wait for Quantumania
@@Ragnarok345 🤣
💯
This is what I loved about Ant Man and the Wasp, it’s a hilarious movie and I definitely love it more than the 1st Ant Man movie. This movie did a great job of explaining why Ant Man was not there for Infinity War and it took your focus away from all of the heartbreak you experience from watching Infinity War. But just when you’ve really enjoyed the movie, BOOM! The post credit scene happens, heartbreak returns and it’s all connected! 1 more to go Alex, can’t freaking wait!!!
I think it's do time for you to check out the MATRIX movies since the only reference to Laurence Fishburne is John Wick. You'll find out why that connection to Keanu Reeves is so important.
Once you get to WandaVision, you'll learn to love Agent Jimmy Woo
The compliment at the very beginning legit got to me 😂 thank you Alex, you look killer today too. I can't wait to see you watch Endgame
The mid credit scene is a gut punch. The movie is fun and light hearted, and then that mid credit scene reminded us what world we were living in…
Glad to see you liked the Antman movies as much as I did. Also, 100% on wintergreen Altoids!
I would love to see Luis to give a breakdown of the entire MCU. It would be epic
Baba Yaga is actually a reference to a Witch that lives deep in the woods in a hut on Chicken legs. It's a Slavic Fairy Tail.
Sounds kinda like Sheelba of the Eyeless Face. I wouldn’t fuck around with them either.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 - The Eyeless Face? That reminds me of two different creatures, both horribly scary in different ways.
First one was this being sitting at a table full of food from the movie " Pans Labyrinth "
Second one was an entity in the Dwarven Kingdom (?) from the movie " Hellboy 2 "
in reality there's never really a break, even when you think your going to watch something "not serious"
Wow! This WandaVision sure looks kooky and fun!
"What the fuck are those things?" Those are tardigrades, water bears, or moss pigs... pretty cool creatures. They kind of known for being unkillable and can survive extreme temperatures, the vacuum of space, ration, etc... Not all true, hot water will kill them for example and they only live a couple of years, but still really cool little guys.
Those creatures in the quantum realm are Tardigrades, also know as water-bears.
A real-life micro-animal.
I think you're the first reactor who identified Lawrence Fishburne as "that guy from John Wick" and not "Omg! It's f*ckin Morpheus from The Matrix!"
Fun fact time 😁: Lawrence is one of the few actors who have flipped flopped between playing Marvel and DCEU characters. In the MAN OF STEEL movie he played Lois' boss Perry White too.
Ryan Reynolds as a character in the third BLADE movie (M). BLADE will become a part of the MCU soon.
He was DEADPOOL (M) and Green Latern (DC).
Russell Crowe as Jor-El in (DC) MAN OF STEEL and Zeus in (M), and the legendary Michael Keaton as the best damn movie BATMAN (DC)out of the bunch, and VULTURE in the MCU.
BATMAN RETURNS IS THE BEST ONE EVER. Coincidentally, Michelle Pfeifer played Catwoman in it with him...and now she's The first Wasp to her husband's first Antman in the MCU.
Next is the very first stand alone female superhero getting her own movie...Captain Marvel. Countdown to Endgame. 😁
He also dubbed over Doug Jones for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer so he actually did Marvel, then DC then Marvel again lol. Kinda overkill as Doug's voice really fits Surfer, but Lawrence did great too.
I was hoping Alex would have done research about all the DC character crossovers you mentioned in the MCU movies.
scott is the definition of "just because i am bad guy, does not mean i am BAD GUY"
"The jokes are long winded for me"
That's because this movie wants to be a character drama, but it still has to fit into the MCU family friendly box, so stupid humor.
37:58
"What was the point of that?"
To surreptitiously have the emergency broadcast system audible in the background, because half of all life across the universe just turned to dust in front of the other half.
It feels like it wants to be a comedy but had to fit in some character drama in there
So Alex I found you through the Marvel reactions and have been really enjoying them, thanks for staying so consistent with them and making my Mondays.
I wanted to ask if you knew about the Agent's of Shield TV show that was running alongside these movies at the time. It started immediately after the first Avengers movie and ended shortly after Endgame. How much of it is 'canon' is debatable in present day, but it's got some of my favorite MCU stuff. Not expecting you to react to seven seasons of TV, but if you're at all interested, I can edit together some highlights, especially the things from the first few seasons that tie directly into the movies.
Always!
Definitely heard of it and I plan on visiting some tv shows for sure.
@@alexhefnerstvmovievault It's a really great show that you might want to react to once you get caught up. You pretty much HAVE to watch most of the Disney+ shows (in order) going forward as they tie in directly to most of the Phase 4 and Phase 5 movies. Skipping them or watching out of order will leave you with more questions than answers. SHIELD is more of a companion piece, but not necessary.. yet..
@@alexhefnerstvmovievault the early Disney+ shows are really not optional when you get to one point of the movies (post endgame). You really should add them to your queue before continuing with the MCU following endgame or you’ll be lost.
I loved the agent carter show
@@alexhefnerstvmovievault Watch Agent Carter before Agents of Shield
While this is Lawrence Fishburne's 1st MCU film. Its technically not his first Marvel film. He did the voice for Silver Surfer in Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Which was a bad choice in my opinion. They should’ve just let Doug Jones do it.
Bro, your reactions make my Monday morning tolerable lol. On my lunch break watching now 😁
this is the goal!!
Love reliving these movies with you! You are the buddy I wish I had next door! Thanks for making Monday's fun!
Dude, I love watching these. It's like a quick movie during lunch break.
"What the F are those things?"
Tardigrades. Also called water bears. Although very small, they may be the toughest things on the planet.
so i've heard!
This movie is kinda a comedic relief because of how fun and lighthearted it makes you feel, yet still important in the MCU. I think this is one of the things Marvel studio is good at. They make these smaller projects important so even the non-fans would have to watch it to understand the plot better. It's not that the movie is boring, because Scott and his daughter are the best father-daughter pair in the MCU. But it doesn't really call for a second viewership either.
Alex I'm in the ER and you are really entertaining me in between the nurses coming in and out. The nurses get a little shocked with your language, but I don't care and it's all good.
That was me in the hospital a few weeks ago with a broke leg 😆

"I don't wanna watch the in-between movies!"
Yes, let the hate flow through you! We had to wait SO LONG for Endgame!
If u look close and pause the scene where Hank & Janet leave quantum realm, you can see a city w/ a dome over it.
Walton Goggins is the best. His work on Justified is amazing.
Absolutely no one can deliver a righteous monologue like Boyd Crowder. He was supposed to die in season one but they couldn’t lose that oration so there he was all the way to the end. Love me some Walton Goggins
Additionally, The Shield as Shane Vendrell, which was his break out role.
Also as the transgender woman in sons!
Let’s be honest, we’re all here for the post credit scene reaction.
This one was such a need after what the hell happened in Infinity War. Also Michelle Pfeiffer in the MCU is absolutely amazing!!!
it's great!
The shrinking down and watching a movie on the laptop is underrated. That'd be so cool when a new movie you wanna see comes out. Watch it on a huge screen.
ant man is the key to defeat thanos, he'd go ant size and crawl up thanos' a$$ and go giant
- Sounds like someone has been watching the new season of " The Boys " ;)
I went through all the same emotions. And in a way I’m going through it all again watching you go through it! Love these videos man
Also.. all of us that watched these movies when they first came out had to wait a whole f'ing year between Infinity War and Endgame (imagine how crazy psyched we were when that first Endgame trailer dropped).. At least you only have to wait 2 weeks haha.
The "Naked Mole rat jelly bugs" as you called them are real life creatures called Tardigrades. They're microscopic creatures that have been tested on and have been shown they can live in the harshest of environments including the vacuum of space.
"I know this guy, is he from John Wick?"
That's MORPHEUS for you, son.
Has Alex seen The Matrix movies?
I thought I read somewhere that Paul Rudd actually learned close up magic for this movie.
Bro! What we need is a 1 shot episode of Luis giving us a run down on what has happened in the MCU...I would watch the shit out of that lol Great reaction, bro! Catch you on the next one.
To make Captain Marvel a must watch I promise it answers a question EVERYONE had in the most hilarious way you could NEVER imagine.
'Hairline' is Walton Goggins a fantastic actor. I loved him in 'Justified'
7:54 funny that you said that, considering that is exactly what happened in the first movie: "Who’s pants are these?"
The 10 in Studios meant 10 Year Anniversary of The MCU was Released
Those microscopic creatures were called tardigrades. Or waterbears. They're absolutely incredible. They can survive extremely lengthy hibernations, they can survive the vacume of space, a volcano, glaciers... Would 100% recommend a google.
RESPECT for following the order of the films.
That gasp at Tony getting stabbed, that was the entire theater. Then it got really quiet.
I have been waiting all week just to see your face at the end credit scene. Did not disappoint:-)
M so glad that you did a reaction video on antman and the wasp which one of my favorite MCU movie and did an excellent job 👌👍 kudos to you and your channel.
This movie opens the doorways.
I watched this right after shaving my own beard for the first time, and that intro gave me a hell of a confidence boost
I just found your channel. I subscribed and I'm super excited for when you reach endgame. Oh and honestly, Luis is in contention for my favorite MCU character
Yeah, Morpheus plays the Bowery King in the John Wick movies, both characters are played by Cowboy Curtis aka "Fish".
Those naked mole rat jelly bugs are called tardigrades. They are actually real things.
Dude, you’re better than me. I went from infinity war to endgame with a five minute pee break in between.
That was a long pee. How much beer had you had to drink? 😊
I was so tempted to do that!
A movie that should've gotten more attention.
"Those things" are tardigrades, aka water bears, microscopic organisms that are quite possibly the hardiest creatures known to science, able to exist in the harshest environments, including space.
Loved this one to bits. Your reaction that is. Two more MCU Infinity War saga movies to go. Are you gonna continue with Phase 4 and so on?
“She’s pretty, dude.” Yeah, she’s Michelle Pfeiffer.
😆🤣
This was the 2nd time actress Michelle Pfeiffer has portrayed a comic book character in 26 years, the 1st being Selina Kyle/Catwoman in 1992's Batman Returns!!!!
Amazing to have her in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Janet Van Dyne/The Wasp, the OG Wasp!!!!🐝
I haven't watched the last few of these movies, I kind of knew what was going down in "Infinity War" from everyone talking about it.
I was NOT prepared for this movies ending... Jesus... Keep them coming Alex, I'm into new territory here with ya bud!
oh man, are we accelerating the process towards end game? LETS GO
Well you watched all that in a few months ... we had to endure it for about 10 years. And dude, that was amazing, the time to let things rest and digest mkes wonders, I think it is muche better than just marathon all the movies.
Alex....re-watch the final end credit scene, with the ant playing drums. Check out what the TV is showing and the audio it is playing before the camera moves past it. This will answer your question #2.
The cameo that Stan the Man does here is actually making a reference to the cameo He does in Endgame...
I NEVER EVEN NOTICED THAT but they did go back to 1970 so I guess it does and doesn't make sense. (I know it does it obviously does make sense but my brain is dumb)
They explained where Ant-Man was and Hawkeye in Infinity War. They were both under house arrest as they chose not to run away with Cap, Falcon and Wanda when Cap came to break them out after Civil War as they both had families so couldn't go on the run like Cap, Wanda, Widow and Falcon.
Ghost was just announced as a member of the Thunderbolts which is a movie that is coming out in the next few years, fun times.
"Is he from John Wick?!" my dude.. The Matrix, please get it on the list.
on it!
28:13 - They are Tardigrades. Awesome things. Read about them.
37:27 I was waiting the whole video for this reaction, I felt the exact same way when I realised what was happening 😄
That tie in to infinity war is the reason you can't skip, not to mention a HUGE plot point for the future. Both Ant Man and the Wasp, and Captain Marvel set up huge points for Endgame.
I can't wait just two more weeks to go until you get to Endgame. Only thing anyone will tell you about that movie. No matter what you think you're ready for..... Your not ready.
He’s going to torture us with a part 1 of 2 isn’t he? 😆
13:47 Not from John Wick but he was in another Keanu film. That's Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne)
"It's the little things." In this movie, that's very true.
"Baba Yaga come night, little children sleepy tight"
I do find it quite funny how your reaction is exactly the same as it was for those of us who saw the movies when they came out. Not only the hesitation at the likes of Ant-Man (being a relatively unknown hero until the first movie came out) and the shock of what happened to Hank, Janet, and Hope during the end credit scene... but also suddenly wanting Luis to recap everything in your life lol
0:01 yes I do, thanks for noticing. I literally gat all dolled up to go pick up my little brother and to go to the supermarket and no one noticed, gat home and opened your video and finally XD
Lawrence Fishburn who was in John Wick was also Morpheus in the Matrix Trilogy (with Keanu Reeves).
There is a meme out there where it's requested that Luis recap the ENTIRE Marvel storyline before Endgame.
I never thought I lived in a time where a person would know Laurence Fishburne not from the Matrix, but from John Wick... but here we are
hey alex you got some bot problem here
I laughed so hard when you said "They're probably doing drugs and fucking in the porta potty" I literally woke up the whole house

Ghost was not a girl or a sob story in the original.
Best version was Iron Man 3D cartoon where HE was an actual threat and mercenary/assassin minded but turned into a half ally near the end.
„He probably wants a hairline“ has me dead 😂😂😂😂
28:00 Those are Tardigrades (aka. "Water Bears"). They are an eight-legged microfauna (a microscopic life-form that resembles an animal). Newly-hatched, they measure about 0.05mm (or 50 microns) and can grow to 1.5mm (1,500 microns).
35:00 This last scene between Agent Woo and Scott was TOTALLY improvised after their first lines to each other.
Also, to bring back your impatience to get to Endgame: See? This is why not skipping was important. And you may not realize it, but this movie set up some important things (immediately for Avengers: Endgame and indirectly for Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania).
Those things are tardigrades, also known as a water bears. They're like the toughest animal in the world.
Well now you know what he was doing.
38:50 we really all wanted Marvel to have Luis do a wrap up of all the marvel movies up until endgame, but sadly we didn't get that 😪
So many of us thought that after Infinity War/Endgame, could Marvel really bring their A GAME back into the movie going experience because after the apocalypse of movies is all said and done, if being honest one would have to ask, "how could they top this?" Well I am not going to give away the surprise, because your journey has been quality and happy to get to relive those same moments again. Just thought I would let you know, I am going back to see your reaction to when Thor comes to Wakanda with Storm Breaker, that was pretty damned epic!!!!!
He probably wants a Hairline made me choke in my spit. Coughing and laughing. My Dude, you are the best Weirdo ❤
