That ending killed me 😭 Say what you want about Slico. He was a scumbag, killer, and the list goes on. But this series made me feel for that man and his connection to Jinx. He wasn't your one dimensional villains that most series use. Silco had depth, motivation, and some development turns the end with his relationship with Jinx. When we all get that reveal that Silco is the one who was killed made that moment so heavy. Yes, he turned Jinx into a serial killer 🤣 no excuse. But the honesty he shared with her in his dying moments was so twistedly beautiful lol. He really loved that girl and accepted her in his own way. Jinx wasn't a tool and Silco wasn't lying at all. Vi didn't understand Jinx because she was still attracted to the idea of "Powder". Ekko ((Who is the MVP of the series)) even stated that "Powder" is gone but the look on Vi's face couldn't handle that realization. I was crying at the end of that episode because the emotional tension was so high 😢. Damn you Silco for making me feel like that lmao 🤣. That was his daughter and he loved her in his own fucked up way. Vi couldn't accept Jinx but Silco did. The pain of betrayal bonded them and forged something that was powerful between the two. Silco flooding the undercity with Shimmer was despicable but he had hopes for a better future because his past was so horrible. He was a demented savior which made me so conflicted when he died. On top of that he stayed true to Jinx and was trying the truth. When he said " Topsiders offered me everything. Independence, a seat at the table. All in exchange for you. THEY CAN ALL BURN!! Everyone betrays us Jinx. Vander. Her. They will never understand. It's only us. You're my daughter and I'll never forsake you." 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Nah writing was amazing but, I still hated Mel Meldarda. She was a user. All to keep herself entertained. So if Jinx ult kills her? Then I'm happy. The rest of the council is a bonus. Piltover was a shithole, a place where everyone wore mask to hide the monsters they were. The Lanes may have been a cesspool, but at least you who everyone was.

The worst part of it is that Jinx now believes she's truly alone in this world. She believes that her sister only cares for a version of her that is long gone, and that she's practically stopped caring since she started mingling with Caitlyn, an Enforcer from a nation that would continue to exploit the undercity for everything it is worth. She fired her Super Mega Death Rocket not just at the Council and their palace, but at the whole world. Below the craziness and manic personality lies a woman who absolutely hates this world, and everyone who doesn't understand her.
Jinx was a tragic character throughout the entire season. She lost her parents at a young age, and had Vi as the center of her entire world. Unfortunately her sisterly bond was destined to be broken when she became the cause of death for her childhood friends and first adaptive father. The reason why she ended up feeling daughterly affection towards Silco and decided to work for him over the years was because Silco somewhat replaced Vi as her family/center, and more importantly, Silco recognized and truely appreciated her genius and talents, something she had always yearned for as a child. She became "Jinx" for a reason, her tragedy was the combination of background, fate, and her own personality. The discrepancy and power asymmetry between Zaun and Piltover paved the road for the life of all those involved; yet fate was unusually cruel to Jinx and Vi, it time and time again set them a part; and regarding Jinx herself, even before she went insane, she was overly sensitive, and too dependent on Vi, and under Silco's influence, she turned her guilt and insecurity into violence and destruction, which eventually drove Vi further away from her. With all the factors combined, there was no possibility for a happy ending.
She was not a "good person" at all; her crimes under Silco stripped her of all possibility of innocence and redemption. But deep down, her intentions and desires were not necessarily evil, under Silco, she wanted approval and escape from her trauma and guilt, and by the end of the the season, she only truely wanted Vi to love her unconditionally, as Jinx, but Vi couldn't love Jinx, she was still trying to have Powder back, and couldn't decide between Powder and Caitlyn. Even if Vi did choose Jinx over everything and everyone else, Jinx was still too far gone, and would not have peace, from her own mind, or from those she hurt. Therefore, she could only go further down the path of misery and destruction; there was no turning back.

@@Venom_1462 Yes, I didn't hate or dislike anyone in the series. Regardless of what they did, they all had a valid reason. The characters are all complex and compelling. With Jinx, I pity her and there are times when I secretly root for her despite my rational side keep telling me she is a dangerous killer who is gradually becoming more and more unhinged. And for Vi, she really was put under impossible situations, especially in the end, it shouldn't be an easy choice for her to make between Powder/Jinx/Caitlyn.

The level of complexity they wrote into the characters was incredible. Every character has flaws and believable and terrible decisions theyre forced to make. And, just like in life. Not everything is tied up in a nice bow at the end. Somethings just arent meant to be.
I love how some lyrics reflect the circumstances or thoughts of the character.
0:04 "I am a monster u created" Jinx to Vi, no need to explain.
0:30 "I hope u know we have everything, when u broke me down to pieces" Relates Jinx but also to Mel who loved his Noxian lineage and mother but was broken when she was exiled, and still chose Jayce than to help her Mother.
1:17 "Why don't u love who I am, what we could have been" Sevika's jealousy to Jinx and loyalty/trust to Silco
1:23 " I am a ghost, a fallen angel" Heimerdinger being demoted symbolise by fallen angel. Also a ghost of his past self unaware to the wonders a fleeting life could achieved shown to him by Ekko and the firelights.
1:37 " I couldn't care, what invention u made me" Singed turning Vander to Warwick.
1:43 "cos I, I was meant to be yours" may pertain to Mel's mother realizing Mel chose to support Jayce instead of her hextech request and their their Noxian family.
And with Mel likely being kill in this attack, and Jayce and Viktor surviving... They likely are going to go forth to full warfare. If Caitlyn's mom is one of the people killed as well, I won't be surprised if Caitlyn does too.
@@carrastealth if catlyn’s mother survives the attack, she likely still gets killed by “C” at a later date, though I see the missile being the catalyst to a lot of things. The immediate victim is Mel, since her back was to the missile, a fair number on the council likely die or are injured, with jayce, victor, and a few others as survivors. If there is a season 2, I forsee the consequences of the rocket are immense, with the obvious threat of armed zaunites prompting a harsh response from various powerful individuals in piltover. Season 2 would include in that way, Camilles appearance, Warwick being finished, the falling apart of the relationship of victor and jayce, the creation of blitzcrank and orianna, and likely more.

the way they made Vi and Jinx like the reflection of Vander and Silco. Vander taught Vi that violence is not the way, while Silco showed Jinx her true self. Jinx said that Vi created her, just like how Vander created Silco. The cycle is made once again.
The handling of trauma, particularly generational trauma, has been superb.
Jinx sees betrayal everywhere in act 3 because, at her core, she is still haunted by the unresolved trauma of accidentally killing her friends and thus betraying them. And she projects that betrayal on those close to her.
This has only been exacerbated by Silko molding her with his own unresolved feelings of betrayal by Vander.
That scene with Silko talking to the statue of Vander was just....unf.
And then the whole "dinner party" scene hit like a brick.

The detail most people are not catching is the rocket launcher itself: it looks like a shark with a "bad eye". It's supposed to represent Silco as yet another ghost that is gonna haunt Jinx, just like the puppets of Mylo and Clugger. The simbolism in this scene is tremendous, with Jinx giving Silco what she thinks he wanted and that she also wants: revenge on Piltover and doing that with the weapon that represents his father figure she just killed. She was working on that weapon for him, so the rocket launcher was supposed to be a gift for him, because he likes the shark looking monsters of Zaun waters. Remember Silco's original lair in Act 1 and his whole speech about the virtues of those deep creatures? So yeah, remember all this the next time Jinx speaks about talking with her gun... she is actually talking to Silco. Because she can't talk with the real one anymore. He is another ghost.

Arcane season 2 will start on council discussion and how jayce convinced them. Act 1 to 2 is fixing piltover and zaun issues then act 2 to 3 will be the start of war against noxus. I believe we will get upto season 3.

This show just feel so real, like every character action even though miniscule had a huge impact on the story. It just amazing how they manage to fit in the lore of so many character albeit with some retcon here and there.
this is the best series i've ever seen in my 19 years of life and most of that life has been watching this kind of stuff, the 6 years paid off.
This series made me feel emotions as if I was a kid again.

Fricking hell nothing happened to her when I hated her for manipulating Jayce but then ever since I realized she was technically not fully manipulating him but also supporting him and helping him, I started to like her
The Council was really going to grant them independence. Zaun and Piltover would have had peace.
Then everyone got Jinxed.
Literally every single part and facet of this entire ending is its own entire brand of tragedy, what incredible writing. Never could have predicted this is what we would have gotten with Arcane.
Wow there is a cruel symmetry to that. It all comes full circle. Everything was going to work out for Zaun and Piltover and then Jinx comes to fuck it up again, but this time on purpose. All to kill the part of herself that did it the first time on accident.

No, there would never have been peace, because even when the council would have voted for their independence, Jayce was already one sidedly assuming that Silco would give up Jinx. Silco was NEVER going to give her up, even for Zaun. This shows that in reality, it was a fake peace that was being offered, since Piltover was basically saying that they were "allowing" them independence, not actually giving it to them because they deserved it.

People theorize that the point of emphasis on Mels gold back brace was a connection to magic of some sort. Some people are thinking it could be the same kind as Rell’s. It’s a long shot though considering Mel is a new character and they can kill her off whenever they want. Also, I’m sure it was just the reflection of the hextech rocket getting closer. But who knows.
Sorry to break it up, rell actually a experimentation of black rose clan a.k.a. le blanc clan. If she actually rell her mother must be black rose member. The one to solve are the golden paint dropped on pictures of noxus.

Once he was gone, she couldn't help but take the name Jinx and follow through taking vengeance to Piltover because she wants to keep his legacy like a true daughter would.

as soon as i saw fishbones i was like "SHE'S GONNA FIRE A SUPER MEGA DEATH ROCKET OMFDKHMAKLHJASLKHAMSHA"
This scene was so incredible in wrapping up the themes and characters together in the end.
The main theme I walked away with was failure. Especially how you can have all the right people, trying to do the right things but if the timing of their understanding of each other and themselves never align, it can all be for naught. How a good person in a bad moment can harm people they care about in so many ways. How older generations might get stuck on the past and newer generations get too fixated on the future while both fail to realize the contextual origins of their respective presents.

Any deep explenation why Jinx fired the weapon? I think it was for Silco. He never betrayed her so she stood loyal to him.
