Total dad humour. He's won the best one-liner at the Edinburgh fringe festival a couple of times with: - I've just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I'll tell you what, never again. - I decided to sell my Hoover... well it was just collecting dust.
He also broke the World Record for most jokes told in one hour with 499! The previous record was 'only' 362. The record has been broken since with 580 jokes told in an hour, but even the guy who broke the record admitted that he only managed to break it because a lot of his jokes were terrible and no-one laughed that much, whereas Tim Vine had to wait for the audience to stop laughing before he could tell the next one.
When he was up in Newcastle he came onto the stage and said "Mality, mality, mality, mality" Well that's the formalities over. and we didn't stop laughing until the intermission. I would swear he was five one liners ahead of us at one stage! Great stand-up and family friendly comedian
I love Tim Vine, very corny jokes but good family entertainment. I suppose the nearest to him for his style of humor was the late great Tommy Cooper. If you haven't seen him he is well worth a look, he can make people laugh by just walking on stage. He tragically died on stage many years ago.
Tim Vine has the ability to make a joke out of anything at any time, i believe he held a world record for the amount of one liners in a minute, he can make a joke out of anything!
I love Tim Vine. His "BNAG - that's bang out of order" joke is my favourite! And you should definitely check out "Pen Behind The Ear"! LOL! Love your vids, Rae Rae!
Hello Amanda and glad you liked Tim Vine, and it's great to see how much you appreciate so many of our comedians. His use of props reminds me of the late and very great Tommy Cooper,- check him out, think you will like him.
Tim Vine took part in ‘Taskmaster’ a comedy game show and he shocked the viewers and the hosts by saying ‘son of a bitch’ cos he never swears in his stand up. It caused a right stir on Twitter that day let me tell you!! 🙀
One of the best British comedians easily. Many of his jokes would be terrible coming from anyone else but there's something amazing about his delivery. Definitely worth seeing live if you get the chance. Love his songs too, they're so silly but they just make me laugh. The metronome song from the same show as "rehearsal" is brilliant and he also has a song about allergies which has one of his most underrated punchlines because most of the audience are too busy laughing at the song to hear it! Tbh I didn't notice it either on the first watch 😆
As mentioned below, similar sense of humour to the late, great Tommy Cooper. All he had to do was sigh offstage and the audience were in hysterics. Well worth checking out.
A great comedian. Did not know him until watching the early series of "Not going out" along with Lee Mack. Programme was never the same when he left it.
I'm a big fan of Tim Vine, most of the jokes I tell my parents these days are his! One of my favourites is "I caught a cold once on a Carousel, there must have been something going round!"😀😀😀
Amanda Tim was brilliant in the Lee Mack sitcom Not going out, but Miranda Hart as Barbara and Daisy played by Katy Wix were just superbly written and show stealing characters. Totally in love with Daisy, some of the best one liners in a a show you will ever hear. I'd love to see you react to a compilation of them.
'Hedgehogs, Why can't they just share the hedge??'. I think that is Tim Vine's joke, it won the best joke of the year at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival once.
Other similar comedians, in terms of their comedic delivery, include Stewart Francis (the Canadian not the UK guy) and Milton Jones. Both are worth checking out if you haven't already Amanda.
Tim vine is the king of one liners i hadn't seen this for a long time Amanda this definitely had me laughing 😂😂😂😂thank you for all you're wonderful video's ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He use to appear in a sitcom called Not Going Out and he currently holds the world record for most one line jokes and he does use props in his act he absolutely hilarious only other comics I can think who do one line jokes are Milton Jones , Gary Delaney , Stuart Francis and Tommy Copper all are really funny # Be Kind ❤️ # Peace To All ❤️
he kinda reminds me of the late great Tommy Cooper you've got to see some of his sketches he would have me and my whole family literally rolling around with laughter.
One of my favourite Tim Vine jokes is when he says he was walking down the street when someone dropped a set of scrabble tiles and Tim says "What's the word on the street?" :-)
Tim Vine is in "Not Going Out" with Lee Mack who is in your videos, I highly recommend you watch that series from the beginning. It's written by Lee Mack and its really good , especially the first few series with Tim Vine.
I was walking down the street when this woman stopped me. She said "Excuse me. Have you just washed your face with Imperial Leather soap?" I said "Yes. Can you smell it?" She said "No you've got the little label on your forehead."

First time I'm seeing his stuff myself too. I only caught him in an series of Taskmaster (which is of course *highly* recommended; it's an amazingly smart show, and funny as hell too).
Pleased you've done Tim Vine .... you NEED to see him live. I've seen him do an hour of one liners like that many a time with the props and a few funny songs to break it up a bit. Other one liners to check out are Milton Jones, Stewart Francis (not the one from Crackerjack) Gary Delaney and Mark Simmons
I have been to a private gig of his, he is a genuinely funny nice guy and a clean family entertainer which is rare these days. Love his one liners, I think I am right in saying he holds the record for telling the most jokes in an hour or something like that, I need to check that but he did something like that. Top entertainer
Tim Vine is amazing. Watching him for a whole show can be difficult because it's just relentlessly high paced but he's brilliant. Not my style of comedy (I'd say Dara matches my tastes more than anybody) but I still find him hilarious
Tim is one of the best for sure, if I'm not mistaken he's got the world record for the most one liners in a hour I think. Kinda insane he can just remember all of them perfectly and just got a great rhythm, more of his or maybe Russel Howard. Sooo funny and hilarious!
I didn't know too much about Tim Vine, I saw him on Not going out with Lee Mack (Mack, Sean lock and Jimmy carr, 3 best of all time) but it wasn't until he was on task master that I searched him on you tube and found out he was the king of 1 liner dad humour, he's epic.
Tim Vine is the fastest one liner comedian. Very known in the UK but he doesnt tour much. Had his own radio show for many years on BBC. That program is good. He uses a lot of props and musical comedy. Bill Bailey takes humor and music to abother level. Please react to more clips of Vine and check out Bailey.
Tim Vine handed me the scarf I'd dropped outside Highgate Station. As he gave it to me, he said something and smiled, but I didn't hear what he'd said. I assumed it was funny so laughed hysterically and we went our separate ways.
One of my favourites and I'm sure he won't deny to being heavily influenced by Tommy Cooper. Also from Tommy's generation was another great one-liner, Les Dawson.
Tim’s comedy is nice and gently as can be watched by anyone without offence which is nice. He’s a lot like Milton Earl or Stewart Frances in his delivery. I believe he holds the world record for the most jokes delivered in a minute or some similar time. You would not think his brilliant Jeremy Vine from Radio 2 and also the BBC political journalist. What a contrast.
I really like Tim Vine, his only liners and quick fire stuff are brilliant, but I also like his Visual stuff, even now I still chuckle at BNAG (bang out of order).....but I think my favourite visual is "teddys on a hoop"
The guy is a genius. The first time I remember him from was the very day channel 5 kicked off. He presented one of the game shows. It was called whittle. There was a whole big thing when channel 5 was being launched. There were only 4 terrestrial tv channels. It was hilarious back then when they sent teams of people out to make channel 5 happen on peoples tales. It didnt work for a lot of people for quite a while. You should look it up. Theres probably a video in there you could make of it as an American who wasn't here then. What a time it was. Funny as hell
Tim's humour is reminiscent of the late great Tommy Cooper, and currently Milton Jones is similar. I like Gary Delaney's one-liners (check his video on her 'GD Live at the Apollo') - can't remember if you've already reacted to Gary.
Tim is a brilliant comedian. Love him a lot. ❤ He reminds me a bit of Gary Larson. You can read/hear a whole load of jokes, and sometimes they just don't really hit, but somtimes one will just resonate SO much. And it's not always the same one, or for the same reason. But you are just relentlessly pummeled and eventually something is just sooo funny, somehow. And from that point you never really catch back up with reality. Yeah; love Tim.
He's definitely similar to Tommy Cooper, with the quick jokes and props. I like the "BNAG" joke, and "this, there and then, but I didn't see that coming"
Hey Amanda! Maybe Steven Wright was someone your folks knew as a.... "one liner-ist" :D The thing I love about Tim Vine vs his peers, is his wit (obviously), speed and delivery. His brother by the way is a famous journalist and broadcaster here in the UK... Jeremy Vine. Oh, and if you LOVE one liners and you're up for some naughtiness.... then do a vid on Gary Delaney. That will be really fun to watch :)
There’s something about some of Tim Vine's one liners that reminds me of Tommy Cooper, possibly it’s the rhythm of the jokes or the nature of some of the props, although there’s no 'failed' magic tricks.
A hillarious gentle soul, a full DVD show and your tummy will ache from laughing. All seems simple but just so well crafted
Total dad humour. He's won the best one-liner at the Edinburgh fringe festival a couple of times with:
- I've just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I'll tell you what, never again.
- I decided to sell my Hoover... well it was just collecting dust.
Also with: There's been car robberies on every floor of the multi-storey - that's just wrong on so many levels
I’ve seen Tim more times than I can remember absolutely hilarious. I even got to meet him last month and he’s a lovely bloke
Ah that’s brilliant!
Tim Vine is a great British comedian. His use of words, twisting meanings etc.. He deserves more notoriety. 👍🇬🇧
Well he sure deserves it, his jokes are ' criminal '.
When he was up in Newcastle he came onto the stage and said "Mality, mality, mality, mality" Well that's the formalities over. and we didn't stop laughing until the intermission. I would swear he was five one liners ahead of us at one stage! Great stand-up and family friendly comedian

Yes he was literally making people laugh until his last breath as they thought it was part of the act. Legend.
I remember that I was watching it
so agree the master
I love that his delivery is relentless, it's like jokes fired from a machine gun.
The most genius thing I've ever seen is Tim Vine's pen behind the ear trick.
Tim Vine is an amazing comedian. No smut or bad language. He is awesome.
Gary Delaney is also a hilarious one-liner comedian.
Yes he is. Well he sure thinks he is. He's always laughing at his own jokes.
He was in the first few seasons of a comedy with Lee Mack called not going out and the way they play off each other is really entertaining
Tim Vine has the ability to make a joke out of anything at any time, i believe he held a world record for the amount of one liners in a minute, he can make a joke out of anything!
It was an hour, 499 jokes (me like wikipedia!) he held it for 10 years. He's incredible.
I love Tim Vine. His "BNAG - that's bang out of order" joke is my favourite! And you should definitely check out "Pen Behind The Ear"! LOL! Love your vids, Rae Rae!
Thank you!
Yes! I was waiting for Pen Behind The Ear! Worth watching more than one clip because it's different every time.
Hello Amanda and glad you liked Tim Vine, and it's great to see how much you appreciate so many of our comedians. His use of props reminds me of the late and very great Tommy Cooper,- check him out, think you will like him.
PEN BEHIND THE EAR!!! You will not be dissapointed! 🤣
👍🏻👍🏻
Tim Vine took part in ‘Taskmaster’ a comedy game show and he shocked the viewers and the hosts by saying ‘son of a bitch’ cos he never swears in his stand up. It caused a right stir on
Twitter that day let me tell you!! 🙀
His "Track Suit" was genius!
That's not swearing in English....
One of the best British comedians easily. Many of his jokes would be terrible coming from anyone else but there's something amazing about his delivery. Thank you. Tim Vine gentle but effective one liner's have always been my favourite.
He's like a old school music hall comic. He's like Milton Jones if he were normal.😂✌️♥️🇬🇧
Lol
Yep, Milton Jones has the same style of word puns. Gary Delaney does it as well but his are not so family friendly...
Pen behind the ear 🤣🤣🤣
I have waited so long for you to react to him! Saw him live a few times
'Hedgehogs, Why can't they just share the hedge??'. I think that is Tim Vine's joke, it won the best joke of the year at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival once.
Try Ken Dodd's stand up , He's amazing for one liners also a British National Treasure. And another would be Stewart Francis a Canadian comedian
Now he's a British buried treasure.
Always more Tim vine! 👌
BNAG - that's bang out of order! I laughed way too hard at that one. :D
🤣🤣
Other similar comedians, in terms of their comedic delivery, include Stewart Francis (the Canadian not the UK guy) and Milton Jones. Both are worth checking out if you haven't already Amanda.
Thank you, was trying to remember Stewart Francis’ name. Both kings of the one liners.
They’re on my list 😊👍🏻👍🏻
@@LADYRAEUK I completely endorse Milton Jones and Stewart Francis. Also Gary Delaney but his material is definitely not for a family audience.
👍🏻👍🏻
Tim vine is the king of one liners i hadn't seen this for a long time Amanda this definitely had me laughing 😂😂😂😂thank you for all you're wonderful video's ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You’re very welcome 🤣🤣🤣

He said he met an English Student on a Date named SIMILE. It didn't work out and he said "I don't know what I Met A Phor" :)
He's a genius when it comes to things like that, he holds a record for the most one liners. His brother Jeremy, is a difficult on radio 2
i love a bit of tim vine you should react to pen behind the ear that is bloody ridulous and hilarious
I’ll check it out 👍🏻
I think a lot of his humour goes over many US heads, even you and you're getting ever more switched on to us. Keep these posts going, I enjoy them.

and there's the snort again 😂😂 TV is absolutely fantastic. I knew he'd get the best snorts out of you 🤣
🤣🤣
A comedian that does not rely on vulgarity. The best !!
😊👍🏻
I know him only from Taskmaster, but he was brilliant there. And the puns came non-stop.
One of the Script Writers, in the early series of "Not Going Out"..........also Actor.
Tim Vine’s great! He holds the world record at telling the most amount of jokes in one hour.
499. Wasn't it
Milton Jones is another decent stand up that does one liners.
I was walking down the street when this woman stopped me. She said "Excuse me. Have you just washed your face with Imperial Leather soap?" I said "Yes. Can you smell it?" She said "No you've got the little label on your forehead."

Tom Vine and his one liners are just brilliant
Tim Vine is the best comedian in the world in my opinion.
he reminds me of a comedian/magician named Tommy Cooper. He was famous and worth a watch
Another Good Funny Reaction Video. I keep waiting for those two Billy Connolly Videos I suggested.
You sound so much like a therapist and I can't get over it
Lol .. thank you? 🤣
@@LADYRAEUK it's just so immediately calming, relaxing and trusting, honestly you'd make a great therapist
Thank you very much, I appreciate it 😊
He is brilliant I've seen him live before and enjoyed it so much. I'd recommend Gary Delaney as well he's the king of one liners
Tim Vine is basically the British Carrot Top.
If I had to compare him to any comedian then his style is quite similar to Milton Jones.
He's won the best gag at the Edinburgh festival a number of times... He used to co-write 'Not Going Out with Lee Mack👍
Hi Amanda, hope you're well.
So glad you've found Tim Vine, you should see his "Flag Hippo" or "Pen behind the ear" sketches 😁
Take care & stay safe 😊
Milton Jones is probably the most similar comedian to Tim Vine, but without the props. Time Vine's best sketch is 'pen behind the ear'.
Agree on both points!
Tim Vine is amazing. Watching him for a whole show can be difficult because it's just relentlessly high paced but he's brilliant. Not my style of comedy (I'd say Dara matches my tastes more than anybody) but I still find him hilarious

Tim Vine holds the world record for the most jokes told in one hour.
Tim is great, he's a good old fashioned one liner type and the more you drink while watching him, the more you'll choke! 🤣
Favourite skit from him has to be "Pen behind the ear"
👍🏻

😂😂😂 Enjoyed thank you.
Tim holds the record for the most jokes in a minute 😊
You should do Not Going Out, one of the best British sit coms of all time.

My fave TV joke - “multi-storey car park theft - it’s just wrong on so many levels”…..
Such a relaxing and great voice you should do audio books.100 percent

Hi Amanda my favorite American lady ,if you like Tim vine you have got to watch not going out ,the one when they buy from a drug dealer is a classic
I’ll check it out 👍🏻👍🏻😊
Tim is a brilliant comedian. Love him a lot. ❤
He reminds me a bit of Gary Larson. You can read/hear a whole load of jokes, and sometimes they just don't really hit, but somtimes one will just resonate SO much.
And it's not always the same one, or for the same reason.
But you are just relentlessly pummeled and eventually something is just sooo funny, somehow.
