Yes! You Can PAINT Your CARBURETOR

  • Painting a carburetor is an option but not the best solution. Unless, like in my case, you want to use your Quadrajet for decor. And to that end, I completely restored it.
    So please don't misunderstand; I not only painted my 4-barrel carb but also completely rebuilt it so it could be put back into service immediately if so desired.
    And while the durability of paint versus Zinc chromate, for example, is not even worth discussing, I am confident this one would look good for a long time if reinstalled in a vehicle and cared for.
    Oftentimes, old parts such as carburetors end up collecting dust in boxes and are allowed to deteriorate for years. And the truth is that rebuilding or even restoring a carburetor is not that difficult, and also very rewarding.
    Some of these carbs are so beautiful they can be used-as I chose to do-as decorations.
    So don't trash your old Quadrajet. Restore it!
