Thank you for the video. I m using FX2 it`s been now like 6 months. It`s really amazing, however when you come to high gain presets you have to EQ everything, as you hear fizz and clips.. I assume that videos on RUclips don`t show real sounds, most of them are mastered.
Did you ever fix the problem. I play alot of metal and high gain settings but haven't had that issue at all. You might wanna control your settings on your interface and also bias fx Input settings so their not conflicting together and causing clipping.
Keep messing with it. I own Fortin and STL Putney and while they are good. I can match any tone with bias fx2 using the the amps in bias fx2 plus so much more.
I thought the same thing at first until I spent about a week with it. There are so many possibilities and in the mix it sticks out better and doesn't sound all scooped.
Hi. I also have to the archetype Plini. You will not regret getting the Archetype, really a game changer. But I do not regret having both, so much to do with tone on bias fx 2. You should really try using both sims together, mixing them together. 1 track with archetype and a track 2 with bias fx. Arm the two track, and play. You can really get some really cool effects doing that.
The amp models are still lacking in the higher frequencies. Just as you said, fizzy... In that regards, it's no better than Bias 1. I wouldn't compare it to the Helix native. The Helix can sound actually good in the demos I've heard on youtube. It's undeniably jam-packed with features, I give it that.
Hi mate. That's the elite version he's using. I'd recommending buying the pro and then upgrading if you need more. Although, I'd say that the pro has so many options that you probably won't need the elite.
@@malliakoschristos it’s on special offer at the moment think it’s 79 for the pro and 115 for the elite can you do everything on the elite that you can do in the pro ?
@@peterwright5249 Hi mate. I mean the elite offers a lot more cabs and effects. There were a few things that I couldn't do with the pro but it's a good start. One problem is that when you download other people's effects chains, if you don't have the elite you might not be able to download them. Also, keep in mind that it's always ''on sale''. Depended on your level, the pro is a great start. If you do recordings and are really into guitar tone, go for the elite. If you just want to jam on your own over backing tracks, go for the pro. Btw, it's definitely worth buying. I've been using it every day since I bought it. Just create presets, plug your guitar and you have a great tone.

It's too muffled for some reason...any advice would be highly appreciated....ThanksP
Nice video ! Quick question, I tried using this on several tracks in cubase and I got soooo much lag with that, am I the only one ? On one track it's ok, but on quadrupled guitar tracks, it starts to get really laggy (issue that I dont have on the nameless suite or on guitar rig)
Cubase elements 10 (yeah the cheap version) with a scarlett 2i2. When recording I can play with the buffer to reduce lag, but when you load several tracks with that plugin, I got heavy lags. Maybe it's a configuration problem, but still, I dont have those kind of issue with any other plugins
Take a look at the link. And try out reaper, its much lighter on the resources than cubase. That said, bias are heavier. There also a new driver update from focusrite allowing even more buffer preset. But reaper are the only daw that actually can set any buffer you want, etc 111 or 112 or 113, and lock it. I think Reaper are the only daw that actually can arm several track at once on one single input. There are some steps to optimize pc for better speed and sound readiness. And that windows services is not to be underestimated. It will give noticeable differences on pc speed when some get turned off. Follow black vipers guide. Setting sample rate to etc 44.1 kHz will also give more room. support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207355205-Optimising-your-PC-for-Audio-on-Windows-10
mhammed ismaili Are you choosing a bank? If you don’t you’ll get an error message and the window will close out. You need to name the preset, choose a bank and then confirm.
haven't tried Fx 2 just yet, own FX 1 but after trying out other amp sim VSTs, there's definitely something lacking in how 1 amps feel, although the tones are decent, effects are great actually, you just seem to get better quality elsewhere, it's a bit unfair maybe comparing Bias to a dedicated say marshall amp sim (mercuriall) but that's how they should be looking to improve their product, a bit like when you see another ridiculously talented guitar player, should motivate you to work harder etc etc.. , maybe a case of better tweaking the cab sim portion.. who knows i'm now using bias FX 1 as a sort of pedalboard in front of other amp sims (S-gear mainly as they have nicer clean amp models) and various other vsts for crazy verb/delays the looper feature is very awesome tho
absolutely, makes recording a cinch as well, i really like the results of hooking up my amp through my two notes captor, but while it may "feel" better for want of a better word, i can get similar sort of tones just by plugging straight into the DAW, cheaper on the electric bill too ;) as good as these plugins are and the options we have these days for seriously killer tones, i kinda miss the stories from the older days of using some obscure beat up cab with weird speakers and a combination of some strange pedals, or for example the Vega wireless/ Ac/Dc story, that stuff is gold people are still doing that but it feels like with the increasing amount of choice, experimentation is heading in a different direction , you're experimenting with different plugins/options instead of really pushing what you already have
I looking for a good guitar mobile interface for playing on ipad with BIAS Amp 2 from Positive Grid What would recommend for guitar interface and is more sturdier and better sound with no hum noises Ik multimedia irig HD 2 Or MeloAudio TS Mini

@@LeonTodd If you not already done so. Try out and demo Archetype Plini, its really a game changer on the sims front. You will not believe the glassy clean tone you get. I often mix them together, 1 input on two armed track and play.

I bought this as I've see a lot of great reviews (including yours). The issue I'm having and see this is not just me is that a lot of the sounds (especially the high gain ones) are very noisy with a loud hum. Not sure if you have any tips or ideas how to fix this?
@KEN5423 "I swear my 1996 Pod 2.0 had sounded better then 99% of all non hardware based amp sims on the market today.I wish I still had that little bean to track samples." Then Reverb is your friend. There's at least a dozen of 'em on there for sale right now...some in mint condition. I still use a POD X3 some in my home studio. I just bypass the internal cab sims and use an external IR loader. I get some killer tones that way. P.S. I also get excellent results running an amp-in-a-box pedal into my interface and running an IR in the chain.
Keep in mind that he has very expensive guitars. Therefore, if you have a lower class guitar, and even making the settings in the effects, you will surely not get that sound. BiasFx 2 is one of the best programs today, but don't think it will do all miracles. Remember the very important role your guitar has.
I could be wrong but dosent guitar match basically cover that problem? Btw I have a nice fender telecaster so for me personally I feel like I'm already covered but I figured the idea of guitar match is you don't need an expensive guitar for it to sound great.

Yes!
Actually Not, but its the same Result!
I got a Focusrite iTrack Dock, its Sounds Amazing, you need no AMP anymore, with PA Stereo Speakers and a Stereo Chorus in your Setup...with that iPad ....puha.... Its not reachable with a PC!
For PC is the best Solution to buy a Soundcard that is able to Rec your Guitar Dry, and than Re-Amp it with BiasFX!
MY Boss JS-8 can do that.
But i buy a iConnectivity Audio4+ with that Thing, you are able to use your iPad as a Insert in your Windows DAW! That Soundcard ist able to manage to Hosts to one Output, Windows and Mac or iPad together, Strange is'nt it... Yes but Sounds Amazing!
I wait for it, get it on 01.07!
With BiasFX 2 for Windows i have a very loud Noise Level, when i Play High Gain Metal, and when i put the Noisegate in, i must crank it up very high to disable the Noise!
And then the tone will not flow smooth it works, but its totally different to my iPad, there the Noisgate Work very smooth without effecting the tone!
I had the same issue and Tc electronic Bonafide buffer solved it...
Hi Leon. Awesome Channel 😎🤘! Which version is that...Elite/Pro/Standard? Thx a lot for your reply and take care, rock on 🤘🎸

Could you please tell me what version of BIAS FX2 you are using here? I went online and saw like thre versions.
Holy shit are you running scalloped frets?
Yes it is a YJM strat
what midi controller are you using bud?
so can i dowload and run bias fx 2 on my PC or do I need to run this through a ipad mini or ipad ?
I regret getting it honestly, wish I went with the Neural Fortin or Plini..
You can really get some really cool effects doing that.
would you recommend this for a newbie guitar player?
What's your setup like at the moment?
@@LeonTodd just got a harley benton sc1000 and a fender mustang gt40
@@summonhell1960 yes. It’s great value.
Where is my old ibanez with always nonworking floyd
The amp models are still lacking in the higher frequencies. Just as you said, fizzy... In that regards, it's no better than Bias 1. I wouldn't compare it to the Helix native. The Helix can sound actually good in the demos I've heard on youtube.
It's undeniably jam-packed with features, I give it that.
I'll definitely do a video where I compare different amp models in a mix to see how much difference that high end makes in a mix.
There is some fizz in bias fx 2, but thats why we have EQ. But on presets, I'm not sure many could tell if they was not informed it was an amp sim :)
hey Leon what package are you useing ? Std , Pro or Elite ?
@@malliakoschristos thanks mate you have just sold it to me 👌, I already have the helix floor but it’s wasted on me much to complicated for my tech skills so have just been buying patches of people but still don’t sound as good as the patches I hear from wot people creat from the byes 2 , that’s exactly wot I want it for just to cover gilmoure solos an record with backing track so think Ile be selling the line 6 an going this way forward 👍
Is it a one time payment Or monthly payment
Pls reply

Never did any recording or playing through a DAW or anything. How do you handle output? Do you run audio out to a cabinet? NFM's? Headphones? I wanna try this out.
I Run it through monitor speakers, with presonus studio 26c interface through studio one recording software. This will be the best way to get the best sound and enjoy everything and enjoy it!!! I've tried other ways and it didn't work out well lol.
Which speaker do you use? I just started with this software and use my boss katana 100 mk2 powered cabinet option. Not sure if a regular monitor speaker would be better.

Hi , If you could please help me as well....I am a beginner guitarist...I am using bias fx 2 in reaper DAW, I connect my fender strat to focusrite solo 3rd gen, I tried multiple amp effect pedals combinations , i tried messing with the amp settings bass treble mids etc, for some unknown reason my guitar tone sounds muffled, I've been trying to create a tone similar to billie joe from green day but I not able to get a clear clean crunchy rock sound... It's too muffled for some reason...any advice would be highly appreciated....ThanksP
Is this worth buying with a thr10x and does thr the $99 version do what you need and can you save to amp presets?
Tri chorus in clean pls TwT
Nice video ! Quick question, I tried using this on several tracks in cubase and I got soooo much lag with that, am I the only one ? On one track it's ok, but on quadrupled guitar tracks, it starts to get really laggy (issue that I dont have on the nameless suite or on guitar rig)
Not tried that yet but intend to do so. What DAW/interface?
I can`t save my new presets that I`ve made ( FX Elite 2 ) !! it asks me to rename and save it, but then nothing happened .. any clue Please :)
Has someone answered you yet? I've noticed you have put this on a few videos now mate
mhammed ismaili Are you choosing a bank? If you don’t you’ll get an error message and the window will close out. You need to name the preset, choose a bank and then confirm.
@@TheDancingSaxophone thank you for answering. The issue was the FX itself, so I had to reinstall :)
Your welcome to join our Bias Fx and Bias Amp facebook group tone, tips and sharing :) facebook.com/groups/biasfx
haven't tried Fx 2 just yet, own FX 1 but after trying out other amp sim VSTs, there's definitely something lacking in how 1 amps feel, although the tones are decent, effects are great actually, you just seem to get better quality elsewhere, it's a bit unfair maybe comparing Bias to a dedicated say marshall amp sim (mercuriall) but that's how they should be looking to improve their product, a bit like when you see another ridiculously talented guitar player, should motivate you to work harder etc etc.. , maybe a case of better tweaking the cab sim portion.. who knows
i'm now using bias FX 1 as a sort of pedalboard in front of other amp sims (S-gear mainly as they have nicer clean amp models) and various other vsts for crazy verb/delays
the looper feature is very awesome tho
Love the looper, it's seriously addictive. The beauty of plugins is it's so easy to combine them and make a signal chain customised to what you need.
absolutely, makes recording a cinch as well, i really like the results of hooking up my amp through my two notes captor, but while it may "feel" better for want of a better word, i can get similar sort of tones just by plugging straight into the DAW, cheaper on the electric bill too ;)
as good as these plugins are and the options we have these days for seriously killer tones, i kinda miss the stories from the older days of using some obscure beat up cab with weird speakers and a combination of some strange pedals, or for example the Vega wireless/ Ac/Dc story, that stuff is gold
people are still doing that but it feels like with the increasing amount of choice, experimentation is heading in a different direction , you're experimenting with different plugins/options instead of really pushing what you already have
I looking for a good guitar mobile interface for playing on ipad with BIAS Amp 2 from Positive Grid

Hi, good video. In your opinion what is the correct configuration of Bias FX 2 to have a Slash's sound? Like Sweet Child on mine? Thank you.
So my pc version has guitar match but my iPad version doesn’t any one know why I upgraded all iOS has to offer.
Mostly because the ipad version is 90% cheaper.
Bought the Elite version of Bias Fx 2, got it refunded and went får Stl Tonality Will Putney instead. Reason being that the high gain amps did not sound "real" imo. Stl or Neural Dsp all the way for me.
Been meaning to get around to trying that one.
I own all 3 and bias fx2 is by the best. Switchblade amp with a couple of my own IRs blows Putney and Fortin out of the water
@@shaynestilllife Good that you liked BFX 2 but i did not so our taste is just different
@@LeonTodd If you not already done so. Try out and demo Archetype Plini, its really a game changer on the sims front. You will not believe the glassy clean tone you get. This is as close you can feel the thouch of a real amp. And the only amp sim that I actually forgetting I'm using a amp sim.
Archetype Plini and Bias fx 2 is my two to go. I often mix them together, 1 input on two armed track and play.
I heard this only works on Windows 10... Not 7?
I heard so, but it is said it will work on Windows 7. Try out the demo to check if it does
I got it on windows 7, no problem
is your sound output to monitors??
I’m way behind the times
I can’t get a decent sound out of the software
I get nothing but a dry signal into my headphones, and it sounds like shit, can’t even figure out how to get the output volume to turn up
I just suck at tech I guess
People tell me the fun part is figuring it out
I strongly disagree
Figuring it out is frustrating AF
The only people I see having fun with it are people who have it working
I bought this as I've see a lot of great reviews (including yours). The issue I'm having and see this is not just me is that a lot of the sounds (especially the high gain ones) are very noisy with a loud hum. Not sure if you have any tips or ideas how to fix this?
No way I can get that sound on my AKG headphnes :/
I don't understand why they don't build the whole fx suite into bias head and bias mini. Amp only in those is just not very useful
they should make a hardware amp version but then they would charge 3k for it like Kemper and Fractal do
It’s great but u gotta upgrade for the celestion cabinets and amps
I could offer you some pro metal tips to improve your picking.
Does excellent reviews. Choice of head gear questionable.

Plague Scythe Studios has a pretty awesome set of videos about the POD if you haven't already seen them.
@KEN5423 "I swear my 1996 Pod 2.0 had sounded better then 99% of all non hardware based amp sims on the market today.I wish I still had that little bean to track samples."
Then Reverb is your friend.
Remember the very important role your guitar has.
lol that guitat aint that great but yeah this bias is just like an amp and the guitar matters
I could be wrong but dosent guitar match basically cover that problem?
Btw I have a nice fender telecaster so for me personally I feel like I'm already covered but I figured the idea of guitar match is you don't need an expensive guitar for it to sound great.
