I've been using Positive Grid BIAS FX2 for about two years and it is a fantastic standalone amp and effects setup. One of the best out there. This OMNYSS is next level!! Thanks, Darrell!!!
@@andresbardales574 My interface is the PreSonus AudioBox iTwo. Mainly because it can work with iPads and iPhones if needed. But it's an easy setup and easy to use. And it sounds as good as it needs to for what I'm doing. There are more expensive ones out there, but this is quite nice for what it's worth. Hope that helps!! Cheers!
Cheapest way: iPad, software download about 45$, audio interface - got their Riff for 100$ at discount and you can plug the output wherever you want. Headphones, car stereo, amplifier.....
Hi Darrell, what an amazing piece of software. One could certainly have a lot of fun with it or perfect for somebody creating something very different. Great review. Cheers ✌️🎸
Darrell, love the videos. Just excellent my friend. You are playing the Pete Townshend Schecter Telecaster (Eminence Front! 1982). They call it PT because it's a tribute to him, since he was the one who worked with Schecter on the originals. I have a gold top, and it's beautiful and plays wonderfully. PS- You likely know all of this! :) Great work, Darrell. Just great!
I will try out some Schecter Telecaster models. I didn't realized that Schecter has also other models than metal guitars... The PT Fastback II B DEG seems to be something special.
Check out their Solo II, I’m ordering one this week. He’s got a review of it comparing to a Les Paul. Schecter has done great work with their recent lineups
Not just you, but it's interesting how many people assume what kinds of guitars Schecter makes, and doesn't make, without... you know... simply looking. Great company, great guitars, great value.
Yeah I think so, too. The only maybe obvious reason it's not seeing more adoption is that it's not clear how a musician would play through a Bias preset in a live setting. Recording on a PC is a no-brainer. But bringing that PC with you to a venue where all of the other SW on it could crash it for whatever reason at any time seems risky. To me, at least, dedicated modelers seem more rugged (harder to break while traveling) and more reliable (less likely to crash during a show).
Can you imagine the soundscapes one could create with this plug-in and a guitar equipped with a sustainiac and Floyd rose? It could get completely bonkers really fast.
Dear Darrel Braun, I really think you should review the OriPure pickups. I just bought them and they really are under the radar brand. High quality in mid to low tear pricing.
I have one of those (original) Schecters, from the 1980s. I have had Gibsons and Fenders (and still have), but the Schecter is awesome. Still a fantastic guitar.
Nice review, and not to change the subject, what are you going to do with that vintage white Strat body in the background? It's been there for as long as I've been watching your vids... Not sure why that bothers me, lol...
So with the software I’ve you get it can it work with spark 40 as long as it’s plugged in I’m a little lost on what I can and can’t use And by chance can you somehow port them to the spark app for some stand alone stuff ?
Cool and creative looks but bias' hiwatt sims are my favorite thing. Unless these come with additional component sims to alter their existing amps, I can't see myself being interested. Definitely would be useful for someone looking for that hifi kind of sound
How are people taking signal chains they make in Bias out to live settings? Powerful laptop seems obvious but also risky as any of the other software on a laptop could crash it at any time. Bias FX 2 is awesome. I'd say it's being slept on if it weren't for the fact that it seems confined to either a PC or an iPad.
Post something on how to get a warm or even 'pushed' clean tone with a digital amp. That's something I never seen any one able to demonstrate - properly that is. Digital cleans sound so fake ad tinny.
Not a fan of Bias stuff, I used bias fx 2 for a couple of years. After trying a few neural dsp sims theyre so much better. In the Gojira one you can get a better octaver, a lot of similar shine ambience stuff, and much better heavy tones.
These sounds don't appeal to me at all... Plus I'd have to upgrade to Bias FX 2, whereby I would loose all the contents that I have aquired in Bias FX 1. Positive grid has been one of my favorite apps (Bias Amp still is), but they're pulling the string a bit too far IMO... They are being now overtaken by others like THU OverLoud, GE-Labs or Amp ONE. Cheers Darrell
The interface looks cool, but I can still hear the old bias FX2 sound. In the current amp sim market, I think PG needs to make a way better bias FX3 than just releasing this product.
Darrell I’ve been watching you for years. I owe you honesty. Your hair is starting to go man. I jumped on keeps and take finasteride and minoxidil daily. Hair has never been fuller and thicker. Jump on it man before it’s too late, you’ll have a full head in less than a year.
Definitely some fun and creativity to be had with these amps/pedals! Enjoy :)
Hi are you the Main darrell brown accoubt? Someone use your name that we won a flying guitar.
@@trismalie4181 these accounts are everywhere, just don't fall for that it's easy to notice. If something sounds too good to be true it is
can it work with SPARK 40 amp?
@@trismalie4181 yeah they sent a comment to me too saying I won a flying guitar?
That tele is adorable
The tele is actually pretty cool

I’m a drummer but I just love watching your channel. I think you’re a great guitar player and it’s always informative and entertaining.
Sick tele. I'd like to see how it looks with an ebony fretboard.
I own that same PT Tele (US-made) guitar too, it has become one of my absolute favorite guitars! I love the quality construction, neck and pickups...
This is the first I've heard of this software. I've never used Positive Grid products but it looks really cool and sounds great.

👍👍Sinister is a mood too. Thanks Darrell for your excellent content.
Before anything.. that schecter.. jeeez 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Been doing Positive Grid since the Beginning, love the versatility!
Yes, it chugs!

Mark Knopfler and the guys from The Cure are known to play Schecters too.
Im impressed with these for sure. Nice job getting great sound out of those too…appreciate you Daryl
Definitely buying this to go along with my Bias Fx 2
Thanks for covering these sims, I was really searching for a review for omnyss. Also, my workmate knows you personally, haha small world!
I feel like positive grid is very under rated. I love bias fx. It’s totally changed my approach to guitar and writing.

Well this is a must have. Great presentation for this software. Your video just cost me money. lol. I'm sure it's worth it.
Interested in this stuff for jazz, thanks for your content!
holly suffering. that etherea sample just hit so hard.
Will be adding this to Bias
I was listening to some Vildjarta before stumbling on this video. I definitely feel like this is THE pack for that type of sound!
Dear Darrel Braun, I really think you should review the OriPure pickups. I just bought them and they really are under the radar brand. High quality in mid to low tear pricing.
I would love to find a USA made schecter pt with the diamond rock pickups like Eddie vedder played in the late 90’s. Just awesome guitars
What audio interface would you recommend for a software driven rig?
that guitar is pretty bad ass
Sounds really good 👍
I Had NO Idea OF this. My PGrid Original waits for me. Do I really need or will use this ? Mystery continues . . . . .
great great video Darrell
Fantastic tellie!!!
Sounds like the makings of a new Halloween song.
Awe inspiring - now, add it to my Spark and Spark Mini!
That's what I was hoping for when I saw this video
Completely pointless products in my opinion.
DB sounding like Avenged Sevenfold. Cool 😎👍👌💯🎸🎸

please mke a demo on how ro install nd do you ply irt throufh a positive grid where is the physical amp is it blue tooth
Very cool video
What are you using for speaker s
nice review
Ha, might be time to pull Bias back out. Nothing makes it sound more OMNYSS than that harmonic minor scale, amirite?
I wonder how OMNYSS measures up compared to Amplitube?
are you playing through the positive grid 40 watt amp ---can you play through a P A or any guitar amp
👍 so aggressive. Good for metal 😊
ominous is kind of Ozzie, ethereal is kind of imagine dragon, the other one is Anthraxy
Lol perfect for chugging with gain at 4😂 i could barely hear the palm mutes lmao
Brother, please do a review on "schecter sgr c1 fr"
That is a interesting product. Definitely can make some really dark sounds. Thanks for the video and 73 Earnest K5EWM.
Dumb question. I have the Bias Fx 2 standard license. Do I have to buy the omnyss pack separately?
Yes you do ;-;
does it have presets?
I want a ToneX review

Thanks for the OMNYSS review Darrell, too dark and sinister sounding for my taste.....
you mispelled "omnyss" in the thumbnail picture. your head is in the way, but it clearly says "omynss"
So that’s kind a cyberpunk design 😂
What model of tele is this

How can I SAVE a preset? Its a good plugin but one of the worst UX ever! Terrible, almost deleting it!

you're welcome
$99 to make a rubbish amp "heavy". No thanks. I'll stick to Amplitube - the experts in this field.
Otto Audio 1111 is far superior.
Its an amp for sound effects--not real music.
Sounds awful compared to neural DSP or Helix imo

Chrystaline is the WORST EVER! It belongs in no genre of music whatsoever.
I remember my first guitar 🍻
Gosh I hate that style of music it’s so satanic…but love you Darrel so thumbs up
