I haven't he used anything I own from positive grid ever since I started using neural. To me it just feels a lot more authentic and the sound is so much better. I'm hesitant to drop another $99 for something. Too bad positive grid didn't have free trials to give it a whirl.
I legit just want the pitch shifter it came with XD The rest of the features to me are "meh" compared to Neural, and Guitar rig 6, plus my spark amp that has tones that sound kinda better than the ones they showcased on their website- ironically. Not a bad attempt, but I think a free trial of their new stuff would be sick. The trials are how I decided to buy the Neural stuff.
Its cool seeing there's more controls on the amp heads beyond Bias FX/AMP 2's Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, and Master knobs. Hopefully this means an update in the future to Amp 2 or maybe a new version such as Amp 3 that'll give us more options when amp matching.
I’ve watched a few videos on this now and this is the best one I’ve seen. You did a great job demonstrating the effects in a way I think they were intended to be used (Metal). Some other videos from pure dad rockers I don’t think did it justice compared to your demo
Your mixes sound great. I'm liking the package a lot so far. For some reason my chain has some crazy interference or something, I have to put my noise gate at like 3.5
Hey! Did you see the new Solar GC1.6NC CLASSIC - FLAME TOBACCO BURST Signature Nocturno Culto of Darkthrone ?? It looks so incredible! And the E1.6KW - WHITE MATTE of Kirk Windstein looks great too!
You could pretty much make all these tones by having the insane pack and the glassy pack all harmonized octave pedals etc. overly mixed reverbs and echoes. Everything is already available they just did a clever job marketing pedals that have everything clumped into one thing when you can do it just the same way with what’s already available to buy with packs. $20 a piece though? Wow that’s steep.
positive grid is such a cool company. doin their own thang. same as you, invested early on the amp/fx, amp2/fx2...so much great comes from there. diggin how they're goin after new sounds with their new stuff. i think we've covered the classic tones enough. haha thanks for the vid. keep smilin!
I love bias fx 2 this looks good, but I think for hi gain neural dsp is the way to go in my opinion, the gojira, abasi, or rabea, he’ll even the Tim Henson all have such great features
It's pretty good but I think there's a bit of an over saturated market of plugins at this point. Honestly Guitar Rig is still amazing though only if running 6, if version 5 you need to keep the cabs off and run it in a daw and IRs. But if running Version 6 it's using Ownhammer IRs
Moreover guitar rig has a lot of built in presets and has a lot of effects. And neural and STL toles are so much better than bias. There is no reason to get bias.
@@sushio4357 I agree. Anyone comparing this to Neural is delusional. I don't mind Guitar Rig for getting some inspiration from presets, but the quality isn't even close.
Ray, I did a gear purge (not by choice, lol) building back up I am thinking of going through my pc instead of an actual amp, I’ve never tried it. I’m just a bedroom player, you think something like the Spark or should I try PC amp sims with a Audio Interface?
@@leemus1966 cool. I live in an apartment and anything more than a small practice amp would be overkill (my Katana never went off the lowest power mode). I had the Spark and loved it, but if I can get into amp sims for even less with a cheap AI and just use my PC that might be the way to go.
Minus the new effects built in. But the same kinds of effects can be achieved with other vsts. Besides that, the tones? Absolutely. Drive the shit out of something tight like a diezel or engl (both in FX2), hi-pass and low-pass it, and you're already in the right territory. There's even ways to use AMP2 to make amps less spongy, and more responsive. Ways in both plugins to make the amps sound more digital and less 'natural'. There's so many ways to achieve the sounds I'm hearing, here. I think Omnyss is for the normies that haven't learned those ways and techniques themselves. There's no shame in it! Some people want it done for them, so they have a solid foundation to start on, and I don't judge.
@@Coggler101010 This. I don't think Omnyss is a necessity for players who have (especially) Bias Amp 2 (Rack, or head also). However it gets these tones into the hands of players who are non tinkerers. Which is a good thing that Positive Grid and others are creating gear with the intent of being used for heavier music. Some of these tones and soundscapes gave me early Fear Factory vibes.
You’ve never tried anything from them so how would you know? Their mobile apps are pretty great. You’re just the fanboy type which is great for whatever particular brand you’re into but bad for the rest of us.
I hope this is a positive turn for the company, I used to use bias fx 2 as I wasn't aware of what else was out there. Neural dsp would be shattering them right now and they have some work to get past it.
Disagree. OMNYSS really got a new level for the amp sim/synth/ time-based FX. I would take this instead of those old school FXs and Amps in the Elite pack
check out OMNYSS here! bit.ly/3Ttd1Bd
Sounds wicked! Great content my man, also I really dig the Gritty sticker of that Solar dude!
Ha!

I lost sleep last night because I was enjoying the tones from this pack so much. Such a killer modern sound! I love it!
I dont understand why many said that omnyss sounds bad compare to neural dsp. I think this plugin really fresh and good sounding

I've bought so many guitar plugins I'm kinda over it. I stuck a 57 in front of my rectifier cab and goddamn I forgot how good it sounds.
You could really tell you were vibing with this! Awesome playing
Wow… Gnarly tones and Riff with that orange solar!!
Ok now this is sick! Also 3 really good cabs that I can use with BFX2. I'm sold, great video Ray. 🖤
Would love to try it but they don't seem to offer a trial of it which is really sad :(
Man You Got It Early Brother!

Thanks for that video. I now know there is nothing in there for me.
What model of KRK are you using? 5 inches G4?. Thanks!.
Can this be used and played through my double stack or favorite amp? On stage??? Or is it only intended to be played through a computer?
This Riffs are fucking brutal
Sounds like my Line 6 Spider II
What made you decide to list the baritone JM's for sale?
I guess it's something kinda different from the Neural DSP stuff
Does anyone know if these amps will come to Spark?

How can I SAVE a preset? Its a good plugin but one of the worst UX ever! Terrible, almost deleting it!
They should make these NFTs, and we can earn while playing haha

Can these be saved in the positive grid amp?

If you already have fx2 you don’t need this one but if not this would be cheaper than buying fx2 elite which you would need for all those effects
