Former Liberal MP Dan McTeague joined True North’s Andrew Lawton at the Canada Strong and Free Networking Conference in Ottawa to discuss why lifelong Liberals seem to be distancing themselves from the Prime Minister.

At Eight I decided I can tie my own skates Grandpa and thank you. Sir! The look in his Steel Blue eyes.. he was crying and I got the warmest hug and a Scottish Head tap. Funny what your capable of when those that have been there before "Train you" to be prepared at a young age. I love Grampa and miss him as my own Father who raised 4 had no time when he retired to raise his Forth Child. My Old Man is my Sgt. Grandpa. This Government could use a death bed with an Old Man over seeing it. Canada thinks it is a "World Power" and can.. do nothing with 1980's Tech. Simple truth hurts the deepest.

This is the liberal party I grew up with. The current conservatives are more like how THEY USED to be. What a great and candid conversation this was.

Nice to see a Liberal recognize that the Party has moved massively away from its historical place on the political spectrum. I believe that the Liberal Party of Canada's brain trust saw the success of the Orange Crush of Jack Layton and decided that many Canadians would support them if they moved further leftwards.
