Simple: pensions for his supporters, and what else is Trudeau going to do? He's divorced, and holding the biggest job he'll ever have. He's got nothing else. Unlike a Jean Chretien or Brian Mulroney, who can move on and do another technical job, Trudeau isn't qualified to do another job. You think a former PM can go back to being a teacher or snowboard instructor? Not knocking those jobs, it's honest work (unlike being a PM), but is he really going to go from being on top of Canada to that? I don't think so.
