I had that same 40W combo years ago. I regret ever getting rid of it, it was the last US made amp I owned.I didn't care too much for the Ultra channel or the parallel effects loop, but other than that it was one solid amp.
Definitely well built and sounds great, I agree the Ultra is not as good as the crunch channel
Hard to tell the difference, but I think I’d trust the Russian made
they sound alike to me also
