Yeah, it feels like me and my CAT have seen something along these lines, seen something real NOBLE, I might have watched it 1 to 6 times, but, what do I know
ya, except mjolnir is a titanium alloy, not steel... the reason Kats helmet was penetrated was becasue it was a needle rifle round, Blamite crystals that basically act like an API round...normal rifles rounds would be stopped by mjolnir even without shields, in the halo universe
@@commandingsteel Steel is stronger than titanium though. The strongest metal we have is ultra high strength steel, titanium is weaker but much lighter.
In case anyone was wondering, that blue tip at the end is a spicy incendiary type of .50 BMG round that is used in aircraft to shoot down other aircraft.
Installation 00 is trying to make a full suit as close to the lore as possible, I think he used a visor that cost like 20,000, it isn’t really affordable to shoot it for fun
@@LuigiClark2258 installation 00s helmet is also made of titanium, he commented on the previous video to get an insight of how strong his helmet will be if he shot it, so when he sees this video he will know
The visor isn't bulletproof. It's bulletproof to small ballistics. Meaning handguns. Anything higher penetrates which is why the ONI Mjolnir Engineering team installed energy shields into the MK.4 systems. If a Spartan got shot in the visor by anything equal or more than a DMR shot, it would be a fatality. The Spartans strength isn't being bulletproof per say. Although the suit in its metal or lattice materials is indeed bulletproof until shot by plasma energy based weapons. Which melts the metal. Their strength comes from pure muscle, heightened focus and accuracy, speed, and learning speed. They can shoot down an entire squad before they can even pull one trigger. The ability the Spartans have to fight in open gunfire is strictly due to their ability to move quickly and make every shot count.
@@Melanias_Consort Not really, spartan armour is basically immune to every type of bullet and even cannon fire, plasma is the only thing spartans worry about because bullets simply dont penetrate the metal, it can only dent or deflect off or the bullet crumbles. mjolnir is 3 times stronger than titanium.
I think even as a gag this video shows that full on Master Chief style armor that actually serves to protect from fragmentation and some small arms fire isn't that distant of a possibility! super cool. Imagine 3d printed titanium or something exotic. would probably be effective with development
@@Rondigity92 Wasn't saying its stronger or any of that XD. Just that the metal his armor is a type of Titanium Alloy. as for the comment about it being really really good for steel, I just was saying it took it really well.
@@Rondigity92 this is stainless steel, which is far, far softer than hardened armor-grade steel. Additionally, it's 3D printed, which weakens the metal even further. Either way, neither a steel nor titanium helmet would do any good on a real battlefield in modern war.
@@Kiido11 I know... people just assume titanium is stronger than steel. When it's not its overall strength it's known for but how strong it is for it's weight.
For rifle rounds you don't really have a choice, you need either hardened steel or titanium, stainless steel is just not suited for resistance, it's a good multi-purpose steel but it's ultimatly not remarquable in any aspect appart rust resistance and affordability.
This is something I'm gonna point out spartan armor is not made out of steel but it's made out of reinforced futuristic titanium alloy and since this helmet is based on the mark 6 have a few bells and whistles to make a even more better than the previous Mark versions. Basically I'm saying it's going to be impossible to re-create the spartan armor from Halo in our day and age but the one thing they should have done is recreate the spartan helmet by using tungsten. Some people may say that would be too heavy to wear but you're not building it to where your just only using it to see can it will stand a .50 cal bullet, plus Kat was taken out by a covenant weapon while her shields was down and for anyone who didn't know covenant weapons are more powerful then any weapon there is capable of shooting .50 cal bullets.
That tracks. That's why S7 Sniper rounds are 1 shot kills even with shields. If anything Halo Studios should probably see this and add flames to the animation of getting hit by a S7 round in the next game. Awesome video.
now make it out of titanium. You'll have a much more bullet resistant helmet and it will weigh 50-70% less (depending on design), and it will stop much more powerful bullets.
.223 and 5.56 are the same cartridge. not all 5.56 is NATO ammo, and not all NATO ammo is steel core. Those cartridges are not marked with painted tips, so if they are a NATO cartridge they are probably m193 ball ammo, which is lead core/lead tip.
I heard Stainless steel print? How about titanium. 😂 Armor are mad much more than just SST, It's crazy of the resistance if the helmet with only this metal. Its make the Spartans armor more realist. No one could wear something like that without body modifications and training. Awesome video for real. ❤
