Use a program called startallback instead. No patching, a full year free trial, 5 dollars to buy it. You can choose from 7, 8, 10, plus do other things like use custom start buttons, break the taskbar into segments, and change what shows in your system tray. Bonus, you can change your start menu to look like XP, 7, 8, and 10, as well as just remove the tiles of the 11 start menu.

Can I put the Taskbar at the top of the screen? That's the thing I miss the most.
