I spend a lot of time on the road and have never seen an oversized trailer like that. I am a transport manager for a demolition company and we regularly move around a Hyundai hx300 weighing in at 35t. With this trailer does that mean we could move it with a 8 wheel hookloader???
@@adcdef6519 i dont know the specifics of the uk system but in germany that would be possible (in germany we need a certain route-permit since the gvw is over 40 tons (60 tons)) but with an 4 axle hookloader and a 5 axle trailer you need a very good driver
Yeah unfortunately it wouldn't be aloud in the uk. The maximum length of unit and trailer cannot exceed 18.75m and maximum weight for a combination of this type is 44t. Crazy as it is as this would be an ideal set up for the work that we and many others do.
Moving around bigger heavy equipment is always out of normal measurements. you need a permission anyway for your weight, length, wide and height. 18.75m is a european maximum, here in switzerland we can get a yearly permission for overlength up to 25m (not 100% sure about that number but you get a overlength), 3m wide and 44t. Higher tons as well, but with more restrictions on roads your allowed to use. Everthing over this permission you need a single permit for the haul. It can't be totally different in UK, you guys do Heavy Hauls as well. But i have to admit these 5 Axle trailers are rare here in switzerland as well, most people with this type of trailer move equipment with a 3 or 4 axle configurations and use semi trucks for bigger stuff.
Nettes Video.
Was there any outriggers under that machine !
Why can't we get this size of trailer in the UK???
You can its just an oversited trailer for most companys
