Very helpful video, Kevin! We need to challenge the negative beliefs and fears associated with a sober life and re-frame it as an opportunity for growth, personal development, and improved well-being. Also, we must focus on the potential benefits, such as better physical and mental health, stronger relationships, and the ability to pursue new hobbies and interests. Just approach sobriety with a mindset of curiosity and openness, rather than fear and resistance.👋❤

How much were drinking each day ?

Brother. Loving the energy bro. Straight talking no BS.
A year ago i was buggered, 2-3lt of wine a day, 7 days a week. Now life isnt perfect and i havent achieved my dream goals yet. Im well on my way though. I didnt know but i did it anyway. If sobriety is a car, well lets just say at first i drove it like i stole it 😂. I got away and now I'm cruising. Even this weekend, i thought about trying out a drink again. But because i know myself and my triggers, i realised i was just low blood sugar and neede a feed. No drinking, clear mind, ready to use the time i have left, not as a slave to alcohol, but as alcohols master. Fk you alcohol. Onwards and upwards friends 💪 🔥

Need different thoughts, the escape hatch is either to feel good or to get away, and yea where am i going now at this age and widowed .

Sorry for your loss mate. Straight talk- if you mask your grief you'll never heal, and yes we are capable of healing. You have to be sober to find the reason, just won't come to you otherwise. Wishing you well friend 💪👍

I was widowed when I was in my early forties. Terrible time in my life. I lost my why to live for a time. I focused on my son (who needed me more than anything) and my work, the only two things in my life that offered any form of solidity. Life comes back to you when you meet it half way. As to age, my dad was 80 when he stopped drinking. It gave him an extra few years of clarity to spend with his family. For what it's worth.

All the more reason to call it quits ,we are getting old and full recovery is possible, aging and booze is a bad combination, i don,t get exercise when I'm hung over even a bit, anxiety creeps in because of my lack of all i should do and don,t everything is better with out it.
