    Project Nimbus seems like a Gundam based fighting game, where every suit has its own unique features, that goes well with story based games, hence no upgrading and modding feature. Project nimbus is more focused over story, while wtf looks like an rpg game.
    So those who wanna just enjoy the story, immerse yourself s the main character, Nimbus is the way, and for RPG elements, its War Tech Fighters.
    P.S. Just my opinion, I wanna play both of those

    It's a tough call with these 2 games. Each game has it's own positives and negatives and you may prefer one game's postives and negatives to anothers. War Tech Fighters has pushed the fun factor above Project Nimbus for us. Although we recommend both games. But if we had to choose only one then it's WTF. Thanks for watching.
    UPDATE: Project Nimbus launched the Complete Edition a while after this comparison. It included extra missions, game modes, new mechs and improved visuals. This has bridged the comparison in favour of Project Nimbus. But you can't go wrong with either of these games. Search them up on the PSN store. Phantom recommends them both. 👍👍

    This has helped thanks. I was leaning on Project Nimbus but like the look of fighting in space against large ships of WTF. Can at least scratch the itch for a Macross/Robotech like game.

    From what I can see in the Gameplay section, WTF tries too many things without successfully achieving all those aspects... it feels rushed.
    I hope, if they do a 2nd one, it'll be a much better game.
    Also, I played Zone of the Enders on Ps2 and it looked like a much better game than both of them... it was over 20 years ago.

      I agree. I spoke to them and they said they are not doing a sequel. Which is a shame. I enjoyed this game.

    Honestly the story elements as well as sawano inspired music really worked well for project nimbus that I ended up completely forgetting about the bad cons of project nimbus and helped it stand on its own and I rate it 8 outta 10 for how fun and challenging it is,while wtf doesn't really have that feeling of satisfaction to the music as I dance with giant ass war ships in a Macross fight....like let's be real here.....if there's mech in space or in aerial combat,music must be Hans Zimmer/sawano like otherwise it won't be that good,that's how quality mecha/mech games should strive for with it's gamepass

    Project Nimbus seem to be shooting at crosses on screen all the time, you can barely see what is the enemies you’re shooting. War Tech Fighters is more close up and personal fight. But both seem worth getting as there’s not much mech game on current gen consoles.

    Good comparison! Thanks a lot! I was really unsure which one I was going to buy. Now I'm very sure that Project Nimbus is my game, War Tech Warriors is way to slow for me and the customization looks like a nightmare, I prefer the arcade-like Gameplay of Project Nimbus. There is too much going on around the actual game in WTF.

    Yeah one thing I hate about P Nimbus is that the enemy can somehow run far from mission area, only aiming by canon is the best way to settle the case

    • @phantom_fox_blue4384
      @phantom_fox_blue4384  4 года назад +1

      Only problem with that is some missions give you a battle frame that is not equipped with a cannon.

    First off, I'd like to just say that yes, I have played both of these games, and enjoyed both of them to varying degrees. Project Nimbus is far more enjoyable with it's arcade feel and sheer speed of combat compared to WTF in my opinion, and missions are simple to understand and don't have many arbitrary lose conditions. What made me stop playing WTF was a VERY specific mission that felt completely out of place. "So to unlock a giant space station and get it's contents I have to... align beams to power the door?!" I honestly thought I was playing a completely different game that had ZERO reason to be there. Nimbus stays consistent in it's objectives and gameplay, meaning there aren't any moments like that where gameplay segments feel completely out of place and unnecessary. Yes, WTF is visually impressive and has a lot of customizability in it's mechs (oh wait, the only good ones are the sets), but Nimbus outshines it in speed, consistency, and user-friendliness.
    Project Nimbus: 8/10
    WarTech Fighters:5/10
    Note: In Nimbus, if you're having trouble with weapon swapping mod-combat, use the Slow-Motion to give yourself time to select one and target the next enemy. It's not hard.

    • @phantom_fox_blue4384
      @phantom_fox_blue4384  4 года назад

      You should persevere with the light beam mission. It just requires some lateral thinking. It's a nice break from the combat. Completing WTF in it's entirety may make you appreciate it more. Project Nimus Rise Mirai is a great improvement on Code Mirai. Check that out too if you haven't already.

      I have mixed feelings about the slow motion ability in Project Nimbus. On one hand it helps me shoot down missiles with my machine gun. On the other hand I feel like it makes the game a little too easy.

    I got project nimbus to hold me over for the next month as I'm allowing myself to get hard over mech games again after so much neglect to the genre because Daemon X Machina is coming and I'm so fucking excited. War tech fighters seems solid but I just can't with those mech designs. I loathe them. Project nimbus mechs are pretty bleak too. They look like shiny origami. I've got this huge gunpla collection and it pains me to see designs so bad when Bandai is constantly pumping out ones that are so good. How do you fuck up mech design?! there's so many ways to do it. Zone of the Enders and Armored Core nailed it... in the fucking ps2 era. Hell Zenoblade nails it. Everyone doing mechs seems to get this right except these two games.

    • @phantom_fox_blue4384
      @phantom_fox_blue4384  4 года назад

      The Japanese do know how to make good looking mechs. Although i think WTF's mechs are more inspired from the Pacific Rim movies. Project Nimbus has mechs that are less bulky and more characterised as battle frames for high speed, aerial combat so they do look more fragile.
