The game is designed around giving you what you choose. Take a dagger, daggers gain more drop chance, BUT, as long as you have 1 slot open, anything can appear that is not ban'd by your class, albeit at a super low chance. So you can always late game pivot into legendary.
There is never a correct time to leave money on the ground, you are better picking it up and buying harvesting items, because the pick ups are both money and exp and so is harvesting which stacks over time. Because harvesting gains every round, you always benefit from picking up as much as you can every wave.
Might want to try sticking to the same weapon, the way the shop works is the more of something you pick, the more you see. It is easy to get 6 red of the same weapon if you buy only the same weapon by round 16 or 16
@8:42 You are seeing it! What you buy in the shop impacts what the shop shows you in future shops so when you buy a bunch of different weapon types the shop is not going to give you a very focused build. That being said its always good to experiment and this game has a ton of replayability for that reason.
One of the neat things about all the characters is, besides providing different game experiences, playing them all teaches you more about the game mechanics and effects of stats/items.
You mentioned harvesting at the beginning and asked if you were overlooking it. Yes, I think you are - without really trying you got up to over 100 harvesting, so you were getting 100+ mats at the end of every round. If you focus it a bit more instead of ignoring it then you could get even more cash to play with. The same goes for luck, it can be impactful if you stack a lot of it. A nice idea for your future runs could be to take a stat you haven't thought about and see if there is a character that uses that stat and build around it to see how you like it. For the weapon selection you asked about - weapons of a type that you already have (like ethereal or precise) are more likely to appear in the shop than weapon types you don't have. Others will still appear, just less often. You are overthinking the bag at the end of the round. Say you leave 50 mats on the floor, your first 50 in the next level are doubled so you collect 100 instead of 50. That is the same as if you picked up 50 last round and 50 this round. It is just to make sure you don't miss out when getting overwhelmed at the end of a level.
Also might want to note the crits on different weapons can be x2 or more not just x1 .5 meaning when every hit crits something with lower damage might hit for more because it's a bigger crit
u got me addicted to this game dawg thank you 🙏🙏 broke the game with the character ghost, dodge is capped at 90 and i found 2 items that boosted my dodge by 20 and i used all ethereal weapons which boosted dodge by another 15 i think for a grand total of like 145 dodge so i was unhittable
When it says dodge is capped at 90, it doesn't mean you start with 90, it means it can't go higher than 90 (as opposed to the usual 60). 55 dodge is still quite good!
@@nicholasgough7463the only reason why i know that’s how it worked is cuz when i was standing still i paused so i could see my stats and it was like 135 or 145 or something
On a character like this one, with a massive reduction to range damage, taking a ranged weapon like the shredder is not a good idea, regardless of rarity. Having a lvl 1 precise weapon with its buffs trumps anything the shredder can do unless you waste choices and money to get out of the hole of negative ranged damage.
The bag on the left receives all the materials you didn't loot, so they are basically planted on the potato field and increase the harvest in the next round until they are used up :) This means these materials are not actually lost, you just get them next time.
@@ChristopherOdd Exactly :) I think in theory you could lose them if you collected almost nothing on the next wave, but that seems very unlikely imo. And the Harvest stat is a modifier for the points you did collect during the wave (applied at the end).
The name of meta in Brotato is stacking. Don't vary too much, RNG in the shop is skewed towards giving you more of what you already have. Enjoy snowballing out of hand.
The first 2 rounds of the shop have minimum numbers of weapons you see when rerolling. You can use this to get your first few weapons or even fill up if you are lucky
PLEASE STOP! You will save a lot of money if you STOP re-rolling. ONLY re-roll if you can afford something after the re-roll/have a free re-roll. Think of it this way, IF YOU ARE RE-ROLLING FOR LESS THAN THREE ITEMS YOU ARE WAISTING MONEY.

I just started playing this game last night. When I saw it on this channel, I knew I had to give it a try. It's awesome! Thanks for these videos!

This game is really cool man I'm glad you're enjoying it as well as bringing it to my attention
More Brotato please. ive even restarted playing it after watching you start playing
It's so crazy we both got into Brotato at about the same time. Fun game, for sure!

I’m also playing on PlayStation. Nice to see potatoes on the big TV
I'm watching and having a good time 🙂
Locking the shop items makes the reroll more expensive because you see fewer items per time you pay for it
I personally grab every turret unless im trying to keep trees alive. It is added passive damage that can not hurt your build
You've got to check out Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, its SO good.

@ no i know i maxed out the dodge at 90 with items from the store so by wave 16 or something i had over 130 dodge

@@douglastengler564 You can't get an effective dodge% higher than 90. You will still get hit.

I’m pretty sure it doubles up the next X amount on the next wave as wrll
Yes, for each material you pick up, you also get one back from the bag.
@@Vamirez So I guess you're just getting the same amount as if you picked them all up anyways?

@ I thought harvest just gave extra drops at the end regardless of what you pick up. I’m definitely overlooking that I think.
Crits were sooo satisfying
It's a very addictive game!
Always look at the damage of a weapon you are adding, in this game you sold something with higher damage for the gun.

So anyhow I'll never look at Fridays the same way again
Each character also has hidden tags for the type of things they use, like this character is tagged for crit, precise, and range I believe
The bro game!
I think I have to buy it on ps5 as well😂
The Wandering Bot I believe is named after the RUclipsr Wanderbot, who helped in ?development? of this game
So you didn't try the co-op mode?
Just an FYI, Playlist order for Brotato seems to be reversed.
The first 2 rounds of the shop have minimum numbers of weapons you see when rerolling. You can use this to get your first few weapons or even fill up if you are lucky
What do you mean by minimum number of weapons?
The wandering bot is a made for a other RUclipsr

As a long-time player, the way you Re-roll the shop is terrible. STOP locking items of you are going to re-roll multiple times.
