Holy moly Nicole Row holding down the fort on the bass like a boss, the sneaky major pentatonic walking bass lick in the end chorus got me jumping from my chair screaming YES
The sound engineering is masterful, like the musical arrangement and performance. The set design harkens to a distant era, simpler times, happier people. I love this!
whoever color designed the set and wardrobe is fire!! having such a shitty day and this really put a smile on my face ...how could it not? Thank you more you know. Amazing.
Must be quite the effort for Jack to play it cool like that.

Fun fact - he has special trousers glued to the seat for songs where he needs to stay cool. You may also notice left hand tightly squeezing his wurl to avoid accidental clapping.
Scary Pockets genuinely makes life happier. More enjoyable. Lighter and less stressful. Like coming home. Scary Pockets is the smile to life's grimace. Thank you all of you. And Natalie, congrats on a fabulous album. I have been listening so much since it came out. I left a message on your wedding anniversary photo on Jack's Instagram as he seems to be pretty active on there these days - if you'd care to delve... 😊❤️
I went down the rabbit hole after CBS had a promo for some show of theirs during the Chiefs/Bengals game & i heard the song & had to find others who had justice to the original. You guys are sooooo awesome along with a version by Ben Folds.. muchas gracias for making the world we live in ( with the trumpians etc) liveable thank thank you thank you...
Woah, I used to work with Ryan (the drummer)! Such a talented/sweet person. I had no idea he’d been running in these circles, came as a total shock to see him here but dude deserves it.
I seem to recall Lucius wearing almost the exact same array of getups for their lives shows like 8 years ago. Maybe I’m making that up … like when I dream about doing my laundry.
Nice nice song. Always love when you add a little video postscript. Also, really like you bringing back the enormously underappreciated white turtleneck!!
It might just be the hair and jawline, but the drummer looks like a young Brendan Fraser! Also, really enjoyed the arrangement, performance, and aesthetic of this one!
My 4th of July Party soundtrack will be the entire Scary Pockets discography and ONLY the entire Scary Pockets discography. It is hands down the best party music. Recognizable songs but still interesting enough to funk
This is like a Banana Fritter (with cinammon) on a Summer Beach. Light, tasty &, 'cause of the Funk/Phat content, filling and satisfying. Smiles all round.

It's a shame Nataly didn't get the memo about wearing a white turtleneck. Seriously though, this is an amazing track. You guys have such a fantastic groove.

She is EFFORTLESSLY cool
@@smonson2 damn straight she is :O
The turtlenecks and sunglasses are oddly satisfying
I love this song and I love seeing Nicole back playing in Scary Pockets!

Yeah Nataly in bright colors and 20th Century outfit styles has been a winning streak lately.
😊
I'm not sure I would qualify this as funk, but I would definitely agree that it's a damn good cover.
I guess it's too much trouble to re-forge the boilerplate.
Must be quite the effort for Jack to play it cool like that.

This cover is absolutely splendid. Loving the vocal backing arrangement.
And Nicole is the goddess. Good to have her back.
Scary Pockets with Nataly on the thumbnail - insta-click! And Jack! And Nicole! And it did NOT disappoint! Yay!
You know it's gonna be good when young Brendan Fraser is on the drums.
I came to make a similar post. I'm simultaneously glad and mad that someone beat me to it. Well done/damn you.
The crossover that I have deperately been waiting for
also, for people who are unaware, the people who run Scary Pockets and the people who run Pomplamoose do, in fact, overlap
Pomplamoose is such a mood! Been in love with their vibe for so many years and I'm so happy to see them here
PocketMoose - Love this cover! Cool summer vibe, cool dress, cool everything!!
Great theme, wardrobe and set, great version. Nice work.

So much fun, and Natly's mom dancing is perfect.

This is just my favorite mix ever I think, its such a satisfying wall of sound it just makes me so happy.
LOVE this one!
I was so amazed to see the sun rising and singing!!!!
Strangely transported to my young childhood.. late ‘70s early 80’s.. reminiscent of hall and oates. Love it!
Woah, I used to work with Ryan (the drummer)! Such a talented/sweet person. I had no idea he’d been running in these circles, came as a total shock to see him here but dude deserves it.
Come see us July 2nd in St Helena, CA at Charles Krug Winery for Blue Note Summer Sessions! Tickets: bit.ly/ScaryPocketsKrug
Ok, this just put a huge smile on my face. Just loved it.
What a crossover, no idea how you guys managed to get a hold of this elusive group
That is an awesome set. That is hilarious. Keep up the great work of keeping things different and fun.
summer vibes! thanks for sharing
Woah, so relaxing and blissful for a such a hard-core vibe. Thank you!
I think this is my favorite set/ aesthetic so far. How could something so clean have gone so funky?
this has always been one of my favorite songs!! well done scary pockets
This makes me so happy! Nailed the aesthetic for a Postal Service song too.
I think a neat cover would be Jim Croce's Time in a bottle I think you guys could give it a neat take. Great job as ever with this one though. :D
Oh yes please!
Or “I Got A Name”
Yesssss-finally!! Thank you👏🏼👏🏼
🤩I love everything with that song.

Great production!!
I seem to recall Lucius wearing almost the exact same array of getups for their lives shows like 8 years ago. Maybe I’m making that up … like when I dream about doing my laundry.
I love the esthetic! Someone put Fearless Flyers and Silc Sonic in the blender. It came out great
Nice nice song. Always love when you add a little video postscript. Also, really like you bringing back the enormously underappreciated white turtleneck!!
Love this so much!
Great cover!! Love to see Nat doing some extra-curricular cameos.
Awesome bass playin" @Nicole Row!!!
It might just be the hair and jawline, but the drummer looks like a young Brendan Fraser!
Also, really enjoyed the arrangement, performance, and aesthetic of this one!
Fun performance on a fun set!
So different I love it !
Having a downer of a day ... but this Postal Service flashback put a grin on my face. Thank you.

Brendan Frasier is killing it on the drums.
Great guest singer! ;) ...and great video - fun!
I love Nataly's dress!
This is fabulous. So cheery!
Nicole Rowe on bass is the best part of this song! Not sure I consider this funk, but still enjoyed the instrumentals on this one.
La grande classe ! Bravo.
sounds indie and experimental, really beautiful
This is like a Banana Fritter (with cinammon) on a Summer Beach. Light, tasty &, 'cause of the Funk/Phat content, filling and satisfying. Smiles all round.
Such a weird, cute band. Love this cover. Pure joy!
Love the yellow guitars and turtlenecks!😍
Clicked the button and got to hear Nicole play bass. Winning!!!! 😎
el tema original es uno de los mejores que he podido escuchar en mi vida, pero este cover de pana se le para al lado. Buenísimo
This set!
Nataly with the Air Theremin!™ Glorious!
Nicole and Nataly in the same song. Crush on crush on crush. Loved the song!
I am thinking it's a sign
That the freckles in our eyes
Are mirror images
And when we kiss they're perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate
That God Himself did make
Us into corresponding shapes
Like puzzle pieces from the clay
And true it may seem like a stretch
But it's thoughts like this that catch
My troubled head when you're away
And when I am missing you to death
And when you are out there on the road
For several weeks of shows
And when you scan the radio
I hope this song will guide you home
They will see us waving from such great heights
Come down now, they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
Come down now but we'll stay
I tried my best to leave
This all on your machine
But the persistent beat
It sounded thin upon the sending
And that frankly will not fly
You'll hear the shrillest highs
And lowest lows with the windows down
And this is guiding you home
They will see us waving from such great heights
Come down now they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
Come down now but we'll stay
They will see us waving from such great heights
Come down now they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
Come down now but we'll stay
They will see us waving from such great heights
(Come down now)
Fantastic!
THIS IS BANGIN'!
