I think there could be a problem with having an electrical device within 3 feet of a tub shower or sink. Safety and building codes may require that electric heaters or thermostats be beyond reach of the tub, shower or sink. (I’m not sure what the manufacture recommends.)

be sure to mark the white wire with black electrical tape to show it is a "HOT" wire on 220/240 volt heater
