      Evap purge vacuum line. Turns out those are squeeze connectors that come apart easily by hand by squeezing. Don’t pry them off like I did…

    SHO Taurus owners watching this video will not need to remove the manifold since it is different. The back plug spark packs will be tight to remove and plug removal will need extensions with a short handle ratchet. A rubber hose around the diameter of your plugs will help removal and installation. I appreciate videos like this! Thanks!

    I ended up breaking those same flimsy clips as you on that overhead hose lol. Anyways I’m having trouble finding the part. It’s the segment removal @3:45

      @@KrizAkoni Dang!!! Very impressive, I purchased a 2011 Limited with 124k miles for $3500 (private seller). I feel a lot better about it now. I'm currently giving it a full tune up.

    Since everything had to be pulled off you might as well go ahead and clean the throttle body. Im sure its dirty if its never been cleaned. Great video though Thanks. This is a $500 dollar job at the stealership by the way and no that wasn't a typo lol..

      Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Yes, I dislike how the newer cars need to be taken apart for what should be basic maintenance. Definitely expensive to pay the pros for this one.

      Who knows if they even change the gasket too. I rather take half a day to do this, then some guy who will rush to get it done.

    This looks very complicated...how much would be reasonable for a mechanic to do this?

    • @KrizAkoni
      @KrizAkoni  6 лет назад

      Generally a little over $200 if you could find a place that would do it and not try to change a whole bunch of other stuff. Thanks for commenting!
