I can do the removal within 1 hour and now that I know that Ford used torque Flex screws just to hold down the coil pack I can reassemble everything in the same amount of time
Would love to post more, but the car is so darn reliable I've not had to do much of anything to it over the last 160K miles. I do plan on posting more on it as I perform maint. Brakes are most likely next - been a while since I did those. Thanks so much for watching and posting!
KrizAkoni , that's good to hear! I've been looking around for struts n shocks videos, only thing around are similar Ford flex and explorer vids! Great job with the vidio btw!

The bits of narration helps a lot versus when an author is doing the work without narrating. I'm planning of purchasing the same year car and always like to perform my own spark plug job. Thank You!
SHO Taurus owners watching this video will not need to remove the manifold since it is different. The back plug spark packs will be tight to remove and plug removal will need extensions with a short handle ratchet. A rubber hose around the diameter of your plugs will help removal and installation. I appreciate videos like this! Thanks!
Thanks a whole lot for sharing this; I'm helping my brother-in-law do this on Saturday coming up. I spent many years in an auto garage, but left the field before these came out. This video will be a huge help!

Sir; thank you so much for being so professional during this spark plug exchange task. I have not seeing no one yet doing the spark plug exchange like you do why? because you are using a calibration wrench which everyone should it be using it like you. thanks for your great professionalism how well you do your job, thanks. thank you soooo much for the detailed step by step process im getting a misfire on cylinder 2 so i used this video to change the spark plug yesterday but turns out i guess its the damn coil pack. but now i know how to get to it thanks to your detailed video! bein a girl its hard to find detailed enough videos to allow me to confidently work on my 2011 taurus so its awesome to find one for what i need, because most of all, im a cheap ass! lol thanks again!
An awesomely detailed walk through tutorial but I do have one question. I ended up breaking those same flimsy clips as you on that overhead hose lol. Anyways I’m having trouble finding the part. It’s the segment removal @3:45 Did you end up finding replacement clips or did you replace that hose segment entirely? I assume it’s sold as a complete hosing unit.
Yay 140K! Take your time, this is a straight forward job. Note, sometimes the plastic tube clips break (fragile). A zip tie fits in the same slot just fine and works great. I'm glad you found this useful, thanks for commenting! 🤓
Thank you so much for posting this. I need to do this job and you boosted my confidence to do so. One question. Are the stock 2011 Ecoboost spark plugs a 1 piece plug. ?
The grey plastic piece in the back where the intake plenum is connected to the "oily" hose is the PCV valve. Should also be changed during this procedure.
I actually intended to buy the others - not sure why I grabbed these when I did. The platinums all seem to work pretty good. I’ve got almost 10K on these now with no issues.
268K - Water pump failure, engine swallowed the coolant…fatal. Scrapped at 268K miles…still ran great despite 50/50 water oil mix 🤣. Best vehicle I ever had.
At about 6 mins...removing the MAF Sensor connector. God Forbid Ford make it easy and design the connector with the release clip on the TOP where you have room to se and work...
So what's the difference between the spark plugs and the ignition coil pack? As I drive my car it stutters a little, would that mean I need to change the spark plugs or the ignition coil pack...or are they the SAME exact thing?? HELP
Stuttering could be any number of things. I would suggest taking the car to the local dealer for a check up if it is not running correctly. The spark plugs are separate and different than the coil pack.
@@KrizAkoni Thank you for responding! Another question, do you think the Duralast brand would work just fine or do you highly recommend the Motorcraft brand?
This video is excellent and very instructional, but it would be many times better without the background music, which is very annoying. It makes it very difficult to hear your verbal instructions and detailed info that you add. The music is not needed, at least at its present volume.
Just so you know when you use antiseize on plug threads you may end up with a misfire code because you're putting a barrier between the plug and the head reducing continuity
@@KrizAkoni I am with you. I have used a tidbit of antiseize for decades. It has made install and removal a breeze. And I have yet to have any issues. Just don't get any near the arcing point of the plug.

They should be one piece. I believe the two piece were only in the three valve V8 engines up to 2008. Mine were one piece and popped out super easy.
