Funny how this video quickly glossed over Dylan, but it was mostly that advertisement and management that took Budweiser down. And now that customers tried other beers they may never go back.

Something about Mexican beer that feels refreshing. If I’m at the beach a Modelo or Corona ‘feels’ more refreshing of an idea than say if I had a Budweiser or some other beer. Maybe it’s the marketing, maybe it’s the Mexican beaches that I always see in pictures that puts me in that place. I don’t know. 😂
Mexican beers, such as Corona, Pacifico, and Modelo, have become the new favorite of American consumers, dethroning Bud Light, which had held the title of the “king of beers” for 22 years. Modelo Especial, in particular, overtook Bud Light in May and June of 2023 and is now the number one beer in America by revenue. Constellation Brands, which distributes Modelo, reported a 6.4% increase in revenue in the quarter ending May 31st, compared to the same period last year. Mexican beer was already dominating the US market prior to Bud Light’s fall, with Mexican beer imports doubling between 2013 and 2023. Demographics also play a role, as Hispanics make up about 19% of the US population and are more likely to favor Modelo Especial. Constellation Brands has marketed heavily towards this group but is also expanding its advertising strategy to appeal to a broader customer base. Craft beers are also on the rise, and Modelo Especial fits into this trend as consumers are willing to spend more on each beer. Experts predict that Modelo Especial will remain the number one beer in America for years to come.
Started on Busch Light as a high school kid cause it was cheap, kept on it til I was about 22 and I switched to Budweiser. Drank that for years and got tired of the hangovers so I went to Bud Light and I drank it everyday for 15 years. But I also drank Corona and Bud Limes. The stance they took on their marketing and then doubling down on it killed them. If you've never tried another beer, you don't know what you're missing so had they not pulled that stunt I probably wouldn't have tried anything else. Now I have and I'll never go back to Bud.. and I'm sure many more people have my same story. Kick rocks Bud Light, you're finished
Low standards among drinkers, Cheap, excellent marketing with a dark blue label to give the cold aesthetic, so light that featherweights can show off to their friends and pretty disposable beer at parties.
I'm curious how much bud light advertising and sponsorship with pro sports have also do with its demise. With the political views of pro athletes and owners. 🤔
Modelos adds are very clean. Oddly very relaxing to watch. Kind of gives off a feeling that the beer itself is clean and relaxing which it is in my opinion.
Now try “Victoria”. Really good. Many years ago Victoria was considered a beer for the poor, kind of for construction workers and such. But it always tasted delicious. And, also Mexico has “Sol”, “Indio”, and “Montejo” (mainly in Yucatán). Beer lovers have so many things to discover in Mexico’s beer menu.

@@pyro650jay5 No, it’s not Mr white guy. In Sinaloa it’s all bud’s and Buchanans.
Beer is about friendship. Everyone in US has a Mexican friend. And modelo has a descent quality.
Never heard or taste modelo but corona extra beer is my favorite.i drink 5 bottle a day and is very expensive worth 2 dollar in my country Philippines
One time at a party, some one gave me a Tecate beer and the host of the party saw me and slapped the beer out of my hand and yelled at the bar to bring me a Modelo. I can see why. 😮
I prefer Tecate. I would have punched the dude lol.
I don’t know why the United States is just now realizing this I’m full blooded Mexican and have been drinking it since I was little taste waaaayyyyy better than that water flavored beer
It's good too. Depends on the palate. I've tried beers I never even thought of before, now i select different ones....dozens of them. They're all better than BL. I even did bind taste test parties with 15 different brand....BL came in last EVERY time. Hell even Coors was 5x better.

phenomenal idea to give dylan her can if you ask me, best advertisement run they ever had. bud light has never been so relevant
and usa is the only country on earth that loves bud light because the advertising usually associated it with sports. but most other countries already hated the taste, so bud light was never a #1 worldwide seller

The only reason I was curious to try Modelo is because the bottle looked cool. I wonder how many people had the same reason.
I only tried it after i heard it was now the number one beer. Wondered how i didn't know about it. now i'm glad i did!! Thanks Dylan!
Omg that’s so true! It’s different!
Same, it has been a favorite ever since.
It has panache!!
Funny how this video quickly glossed over Dylan, but it was mostly that advertisement and management that took Budweiser down. And now that customers tried other beers they may never go back.
It was solely down to Dylan, let's be honest. If that campaign didn't happen bud light wouldn't have been overturned this way.
@@talboyovGYThis video exists solely for the purpose of trying to smokescreen the fact that it was the dude Dylan Mulvaney, and solely that which brought this about. The news wants to hide that fact. It is terribly important to them to keep the trans cult looking fashionable and clean, instead of looking like a cesspool of mutilation, insanity, perversion and cruel evil.
Well, there's a point there that this was already happening, Dylan just sped up things a bit.
@@TheJhtlag there may have been an ever changing market but without question the reason the title has just flipped to Modelo is mulvaney. It may well have been an inevitably, Modelo had to have been doing things right otherwise they wouldn't have been in a position to take over but the difference here is bud light have essentially ceased to exist in the battle any longer. 😂
Modelo, corona, and tecate are my favorite beers. Haven't had any American beer, other than Yuengling, in several years
We all know why Bud Light tanked.
Why don't you tell us what the news video does not?

Nice....straight to the point. I like it.
If you enjoy modelo, you're gonna LOVE VICTORIA!
It's now "The jester of beer"
Pacific takes king for me. So crisp and it is very popular in California beaches ⛱️
We also love Mexican food too 🌮
It's simple "Go Woke, Go Broke" You went way to in depth
Modelo also just came out with Lime and Salt, Mango, and Pineapple and they taste awesome compared to bud light
Modelo is delicious. That's why I've been drinking it over Bud for ages.
Tecate better
It just taste better if you like beer! I don’t really drink beer that often, but if I do I drink Mexican beer
I can't believe you got a hangover from beer 😂
I think a more interesting question to ask is “How bud light managed to stay on the throne this long”
good funny marketing.
Marketing and patriotism.
@@harleyharleyharley good point.
The fact that I wasn’t even old enough to drink but chose modelo as my first beer because of my father. 🍺
I used to be a Corona girl, but Modelo has been my go to for a few years now
Try indio, bohemia or Victoria
I used to like Mexican type of girl now I like them afroamericans
Modelos adds are very clean. Oddly very relaxing to watch. Kind of gives off a feeling that the beer itself is clean and relaxing which it is in my opinion.
Yeah they embrace machismo
Medelos I noticed in web search is vegan which can be a plus as some beers & wines add chemical's & thinning agents like isinglass eg Guiness
I rarely drink but Modelo is my go to beer if I do.
Model has a tradition of more than 50 years in Mexico being one of the favorites for the knowledgeable public, it is America time and the world knows greatness and today it is a fact
Americans love Mexican beer because it’s really Bavarian/Viennese beer. I’ll take a Modelo Especial with birria tacos now, please.
That's true. I've read that the original makers of Mexican beer were German decent.
@@excusemenoexcusemeno1671 Their beer Negra Modelo is essentially a dark German Oktoberfest beer, which is actually pretty damn nice to have available since the German style is normally only available in the autumn.
