It's all very easily removed and is lighter and more powerful than previous k models....I think they also softened the power delivery in 1st to make it more useable(tho whether it's an improvement is a matter of opinion)

Lol gsxr1000 owner here and a K8 at that down in Adelaide Australia had mine tuned and modded lays out 199.6hp at back wheel

i don,t think so ,not with all that emissions bollocks on it ,they went down hill after after the k6
