Age 17, December 96, Dave Angel, Atomic Jam, changed my life forever, didn’t stop going to the Jam until 2012. Thank you for everything. Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, DJ Rush, Richie Hawtin, The Advent, James Ruskin, Dave Clarke, Speedy J, CJ Bolland, Steve Bicknell, impossible to describe or express the passion and love I felt for these nights, no phone or images, just ticket stubbs and stories. In my heart and in my head forever, unforgettable.

Done majority of the parties mentioned in the film, Atomic Jam, HOG, Space-hopper, Ultimate Orange at the beginning 94 to 98 also Cream etc. Then a couple of flashbacks then retired lol. Seeing as I had been at it since late 89 😂 Good watch though 👍🏻

Amazing nights were had. Some of my mates have kept their ticket stubs for Atomic Jam and House of God from 1996 onwards. I somewhow never managed to keep mine as they just turned to mush in my jeans from the sweat and moisture generated by dancing for 6 hours solid.

Took me back! Someone, on my first visit (Atomic Jam) thankfully gave me the experience of being led through corridors to the top tier of the main room, then opened a door. Such a vivid memory that still illicits the feelings of awe and excitement. Never seen anything like it and never will again. Unless I become a billionaire and buy the Que…. I’ll start making plans now 😝

I too, was one of those lucky people who got to party at the Que Club. I only went 4 or 5 times circa late 95, 96 - 97 I also got along to 2 days of the Castle Morton Gathering!!! BUT those nights were both life affirming and life changing. I don't know who was playing, I don't know the names of the nights BUT I do know they were some of the most amazing club nights I had ever experienced. The venue, the music, the people The Que all the stars and planets were aligned for a perfect moment in dance music when Techno and Rave came in from the cold. Thank you to all those involved in creating this awesome tribute and to all of the contributors. Techno and Rave took me on the path to Trance which has taken me to so many amazing nights, venues, gigs and DJ's creating awesome experiences around the world. Many have been incredible but only a few have matched the excitement and energy of the Que Club. So grateful to have been on this musical journey for the past 30 years.

Atomic Jam,14th Oct 2000. Luke Slater, Ben Sims, DJ Hell and others.... Was a night out for my 20th bday.. Absolutely awesome!! I went to London to pick up mates from the rave crew, then up to Brum for the night.... Outstanding... And of course, the random happenings at the Maccy D's by New St station at 7am before train back to London... God I feel old, god that was fun!! : )

First time I went to the Que was for the Gatecrasher birthday party in September 1999. Came up the stairs having no idea where we were going and walked through what looked like your typical living room door into the main room. I was absolutely blown away with what was going on and something I’ll remember for the rest of my days. Folk going bonkers at the seats that went right up the back to the gods. Looked like a football terrace behind the goals.
One night I wish I had gone to was the legendary Essential Mix in 1995 with Oakenfold, Sasha and Rampling.

First time I went there my brother had been before so he covered my eyes and guided me up the stairs and through the corridors and out onto the balcony before taking his hand away, I literally fell over in shock at the sheer size of the place with the entire room rocking. From that night on if there was an Atomic Jam I was there. That place changed me in ways I can't fully explain. Truly amazing.

My God do I miss the Qué. I'd park up next to the sound desk on the lower part of the balcony bang opposite the stage & spend the next 6,7 or 8 hours dancing & making shapes with my light sticks. Went to most nights but Atomic Jam holds a special place in my heart...those nights helped shape the bloke I am today.
Also...who remembers the old hippy guy who used to walk around with a carrier bag of plastic toys like dinosaurs etc?

I remember once I was in the queue to get into the Que club.
There was a couple of lads and women just in front of me. They were coming up and all happy. One of them had a disposable camera and he took a pic of someone he was with just as this massive black geezer was walking past. He stopped looked at the lad and said DON'T TAKE PICTURES OF ME. I think he took the camera off him aswell. That was probably the only hostility I personally ever saw connected to the Que club. And I went there all the time.

Went regularly after that , Quest/Pure X/ Dance Trance/ Atomic Jam /Dance Planet etc etc then later on the DnB raves like Music First/Planet V etc then Flashback etc before retiring disgracefully from raving about 2001. Best venue in the land and I had been to most of them.

I was there at least one night most weekend during my time at UCE (what is now Birmingham City Uni) between 95 and 98. If you remember some skinny lad with a metal canteen for water instead of a plastic bottle like a normal person that was me.
Ultimate Orange, Spacehopper, House of God, Oscilate, Atomic Jam, Bubble Club among others were great and I'm happy to say that I'm on at least one of joolsfx's videos posted here on RUclips - highlight of my time there was collaring Daft Punk after the concert that was later released for the "Alive 97" album as they came off stage and getting the cassette sleeve of their first album signed :)
For me who didn't take any sort of drugs it was an endurance test as much as a great night out because as mentioned there was nothing else open late so you had to be there all night as the buses didnt start until 6. But there was a canteen in one of the rooms of to the right hand side of the main room (if you were facing the stage) where you could get a cuppa and a freshly cooked burder to keep you going. And then I got my reward for going the distance by queuing up at the McDonalds on the ramp up to the Pallisades shopping centre to eat most of the breakfast menu before getting the bus back to student digs.

When the club finally reopened after the 'refurbishment', we excitedly walked round the whole place looking for the improvements. Couldn't see any difference until we eventually, mid-rave, went to the 'tea room' and found that the clogged up bowl of sugar had been replaced by sachets. Probably my favorite venue in Birmingham in the 1990s. Went to many gigs and rave-type nights there. I just remember it being a bit of a warren and an adventure walking around. I remember one night I was out of it and found myself in a long black corridor. I said to my friend I'm going to run down there fast. No idea where it went but would just run down their blind. It turned out to be a wall painted black and I knocked myself out. LOL. Lots of memories there but one stuck when were in there the night Princess Diana died in 1997. We were there to see Roni Size. We left the venue late and got in cab right outside. Once in the cab flew around the bend at the end of the road - far too fast - and hit a girl who'd left the venue and she hit the windscreen and flew over the top of the cab. It was really horrendous. Luckily most nights at the Que Club were not like that. Off to the top of my head, some of the gigs I went to there were Pulp, Underworld, Orb, Tricky, The Chemical Brothers, Bentley Rhyhum Ace, Massive Attack, Gary Numan, Daft Punk (at the Alive 97 recording), Blur, Space and many more.
