- Video of removing 2013 Kia Optima SXL 2.0T OEM radio. My has factory Nav and Infinity system. This is part 1 of the installation. Part 2 and Part 3 will be out whenever I get chance to mess around with my car. I took it apart to see what exactly I’ll need for wiring as my car has infinity system which includes a factory amp. It’s definitely going to be challenging as I want to retain my factory backup camera. I also want to upgrade to new amp and speakers so we shall see. Thank you for watching and reading!

I have the exact same car and am getting massive squeaks and rattles somehere inside the dash. Any suggestion 🤔
No idea. Maybe something’s loose and moving around.
I have the same noice
What part number is the cable that connects the screen to its power settings?
I’m not sure which cable you’re talking about.
Hi I have the same car, I’m replacing my whole stereo unit. The company who is sending me my new system is asking me what my back up camera connection interface looks like. I don’t want to take my whole dash apart, do you happen to know?
I will be making part 2 video of the wiring which will include the backup camera. I have yet to mess with the wiring so I’m not 100% sure but I got a diagram from the shop manual for the nav which says backup camera is in connector A
So I have the 2013 sxl if I want to change the stereo I don’t care about navigation will my ac and heater work or do I have to change that?
@@bobbymorris8390 if you watched my video, I stated at 2:27 that you’ll have to chance the climate control module as well. And I showed pic of the correct one needed.
You can still use current one but you won’t be able to display the climate settings on new radio. You’ll have to get one from SX model that has its own little screen to view climate controls. It’s all plug and play. I got mine from LKQ for cheaper. You can do that or pay more and get one from eBay.
@@Djrulez203 but I could keep the one I got and it will work but you have to just guess like hit the ac and just turn ac to the left and for heat just hit defrost and turn it to the right correct?
@@bobbymorris8390 yes you’ll have to guess every time when you use your climate control as there won’t be anything to display the info on. I didn’t want this hassle so I decided to go LKQ and get the one that’s plug and play from another optima.
is it the same process for a 2013 kia optima ex hybrid?
I’m not 100% sure because different trims have different harness so it might be different for hybrid. Try looking on forums and see if it’s same.
