Whether it's testing unknown software, trying out new operating systems or running old software, virtual machines can make all those things much safer and easier. Tools like Microsoft Hyper-V, included in Windows 10 Pro and up, Windows Sandbox, Oracle VirtualBox and VMWare Workstation Player are free to use and bring back compatibility for Windows XP, 2000 and older. But you can even try out Linux distributions like Debian or Ubuntu right inside Windows or separate different tasks with the ability to create snapshots at any time. VMs, as they are abbreviated, with the right setup can increase security on any PC enormously.

Thank you, it was short, crisp and helpful.
Love this channel! Keep up a good work.
Pretty good video! Just got windows 10 pro myself and exploring features that I unintentionally paid for lol.
you do realize you dont have to pay for windows right? If you dont believe me just search installing and activating Windows for free
This man needs more views.
Also you may need to enable virtual in your bios. Google your manufacturer for Details. Google said my amd nitro 5 laptop wasn’t supported but it is and ran better than nvidia desktop. It helps to have 16 to 32 gig of ram to run your virtual machine in, and plenty of space in your c drive.
On point video. Thank you :)
Very nice and helpful video! Do you have any recommendations over the best Cloud Virtual Machines or Cloud Servers? I would like to create a cloud server of at least 500 GB for streaming my films continuously, but almost none cloud VM providers offer that storage
Can other users have remote access to the remote machine through log in? Or would it have to be through 3rd party like teamviewer?
Thanks for the video. Is there a video showing a comparison in pc gaming between virtual and non vm with NVIDIA 4000 series gpu?
Ty bro i never knew there was sandbox and hyper v in my computer. As i was not able to launch vmware due to amd v not enabled in BIOS
What would be System minimum requirements to run Virtual machine on windows 10 pro
love that it works man
it does not say an errpr at a;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
How do i get administrator on the virtual machine? For some reason i dont have it
Nice.
So I can delete system32 on the VM and I’ll be fine?
Is it possible to install truenas as a VM?
Can we run 2 different ip address on 1 single pc with 2 different operating systems with virtual machine?
Whats the difference between this and running linux as a subsystem?
You don’t have to have 2 partitions with the operating system and you can just download an iso or vdi file and use that in. In virtualbox if you used an iso, you need to create a vdi file in the same drive as the iso file.
Anyone know how to synchronise multiple virtual machines so that i can run the same app but different accounts on each machine and operate them simultaneously?
Someone tryna OD hack Farmville
I can't run an .exe files in virtual machine (its a 70 mb game) what should I do ?
Play the game on a 1374 IBM Typewritter instead, always worx for meh👍
Are the free VM save? I mean, if i install a virus on the VM, will my Host computer not be damaged?
It depends, usually, no, but some viruses can hack into other hard drives and partitions, you can try, but just to be safe
@@basicperson4245 Its called a worm,
Does it give extra storage
Thanks i subed and like😊😊😊
i love it
what iso file do you mean?
does it use up ram
I got windows 10 home.... Will sandbox and hyper v will not work on home?
No
You need to upgrade to pro
VMware seems to work better than hyper-v. I always have performance issues in hyper-v among other issues
Funny I had the same with VMware workstation. I am a hyper-v fanboy and never use their workstation grade stuff again. Hyper v just works
Does this work on HP laptops?
Yes
Yes
Wait, so if we download viruses on the virtual machine it won’t happen on the actual part of your computer?
when you donwload a virus on a VM it stays on the VM
Thats the gist of it!
Yea, that's the whole reason we use VMs
But it still used the same LaN driver. So if they are looking for vulnerabilities, they might get into the main pc.
@@user-ls9go6hg3l soooo, unplug ethernet and use wifi before doing anything on vm and delete the vm file before pluging back in?
theirs no windows sandbox for me
BUT NOT HYPER-V idk how to use it
if i run a virus what will hapend?!
Sucks you can't use the sandbox in regular Windows11.
R.I.P its disabled in the firmware
Virtual pc exists anymore?
as far as i know hyper-v is based on virtual pc, so that’s the “new version” of it
Yes, but it only runs on versions of Windows before 8.
*_y e s_*
@@nikgolinar4378 Hyper V is not virtual PC. Hyper-v was written from the ground up a server grade product that got backported to Windows 8 and later
@@timothygibney159 ah, sorry for wording my reply so awkwardly, what i meant to say was that “hyper-v is the new feature equivalent of virtual pc”
i dont have windows sandbox
Who is here to try windows 7 after the extended support in 2023?
next to none here
i downloaded a virtual machine onto my virtual machine and my computer crashed
lol
i dont know why every totorial stopped having links in it.......... just LINK US IT searching stuff on your own is a good way to get a virus........(especially when you are new to something and dont know whats fishy and whats normal)
If you are too new to know how to use a web browser this is a huge leap lol. Clicking links in the description is a great way to get phished. It’s way sketchier than navigating to the site yourself. How are you going to proof read the link if you don’t even know what it should look like? do you trust your self to catch a single letter difference in the link before you click it? Why give sass to the guy who knows more than you?
My pc is low end so now I can play GTA 5 on vm
😮what?
😂
Why is the music so loud?
you sound kinda german to me
vmware
Please don't play music while talking it's distracting ty
guy struggling with the loud background music, seems like running out of steam for his lungs. Cut the dame music.
Firssttt
Could do without the music, thanks.
