Got the MPV Varmint when it first came out. Not the smoothest action but this baby can put 10 x 69gr SMK handloads into a sub 1/2 inch group all day long if you do your part! It was excellent companion rifle to my AR!
Mossberg really listens to the wants of the shooting public. I bought my first mossberg MVP Patrol in .308 yesterday....perfect little bush gun. Im impressed with it for the price spent.
@@lukepolichio9043 surprising mine is but it was a floor model and the action was worked daily. Not near as nice as my Tikkas but was 1/2 the price of them.
prairie coyote ok. I’ve just seen videos where the bolt was smooth and others when it’s really gritty. I’m really considering one these in 308 and that makes me hesitant. Do you recommend it. Hunting, patrolling, etc?
@@lukepolichio9043 I havent shot mine yet to give you an honest opinion but love the short barrel, open sights and the use AR10 mags. So long as I get MOA or around there its a winner in my books. Buy it on sale and am pretty sure you will be happy.
Dave Miles: I hope you get to read this. Mossberg incorporates an adjustable cheek rest on it's LR line of rifles. Since all rifles are engineered for using iron sights, the cheek weld position is too low when using a mounted scope. Why doesn't Mossberg incorporate it's LR cheek rest system on it's rifles? (I own a 500, and 2 MVP's. Had to use aftermarket adjustable cheek rests)
The fact that took so long for a 60 and a half inch bolt action 308 that used AR-10 mags literally shows at all the old guys in the gun Community need to use Remington mouthwash or realize that fudd's aren't paying the bills anymore
great concept but the 2 examples ive shot (1 556 patrol, 1 308 patrol) would hold better than 3 moa. buddy sent the 556 back and it was re barreled at mossberg and still shot 2.5-4 moa depending on ammo. if they improve the barrel it would be a nice package. reminds me of the older mini 14. well thought out but not a shooter.
My father has a springfield m1a and the m1a mags DO NOT FIT NOT EVEN CLOSE in my mvp patrol. Sure they go up in the magazine well THATS IT they DO NOT LOCK IN AT ALL first off the square on the front of the mag of the original mossberg mag is larger than that of the m1a mags, that's one location the locks hold the magazine in, secondly, there is ABSOLUTELY NO CATCH to lock onto the side of a m1a mag like the mossberg mags, idk why you keep trying to advertise they fit. The only mags that I've found to fit and are easily purchased nationwide are PMAGS
My MVP Patrol sucks. Magazines are very difficult to seat and between the mag and bolt wobble it jams rounds repeatedly. Mossberg will tell you that you are working the bolt wrong.
There is a Predator Model in .308 with the Laminate stock here locally at my LGS used for $650 with 5x mags and a mounted Caldwell bipod. Gonna go look at it tomorrow morning when they open...hope it's still there...😬😬
I've had one for a little over a year & I love it! It's a great rifle, I've had 0 problems with it. I highly recommend it.
I have 2 and love both of them, biggest thing was the mags...brilliant idea.

Tromix makes a magazine well that corrects the magazine problem.

great video
If only u fixed the feeding issue. Fix it already. All you have to do is Change the ramp into an ar15 feee ramp.
7.62x39 please. If it takes AK mags I'm down.
Ruger american ranch rifle takes 7.62XAK
@@anassaultrifle3066 Ruger American Ranch uses Mini Thirty mags. No bueno. Try again with Bulgarian steel reinforced, or X Techs.
What type of magazine is that? I bought the same 762 nato and it has a slanted steel mag i love the plastic look instead
Why does the mvp lrt not come up on the website
What peep sight was on the back of the scout rifle @1:50 in the video?
farva37 I have different Iron sights!’
"bear deer ducks" lol

Try shooting a mouse with a 308.

My 5.56 Patrol shoots 11MM all day long. Careful handloads.
Make one with an ak mag
Great concept just wish the quality was better
What's the range on the patrol 308?
500 np for me
I have put about 100 rounds through mine, it's a pleasure to shoot

The stock is trash and causes loading malfunctions. Replaced it with the MDT Chassis it is a must have. 100% function now and better accuracy.
