Excellent cleanup! I use small pieces of sandpaper to get into the small areas to remove crap. You can wrap various objects in sandpaper to get shapes to cut in and around stuff.

Sara - Mag Wheel Cleaner is mildly acidic and works wonders on cast aluminum. I used that plus a synthetic wire cup brush on a drill and made an aluminum intake look fantastic. That transmission would look even better.

Well. Right from the beginning I was intrigued. Now I'm still trying to find the model number for/on my Turtle. But I'm also looking online for second hand dishwashing machines...

HI Sarah, you had the tool all along, yes your sand or bead blaster. And yes the HOLEs> PUT something in them,OK you could use the bolts if you want, the other holes or water pipes just tape up.Or did you have a SODA BLASTER ,i forget which one .the scalers really are for scaly bridge type paint and industrial crap.{BIG nooks and cranny's}you did the major prep to blast, and that's remove the grease and oil.keep up the great work.

I wouldn't have rebuilt it either. The compression test was fine and it has low miles. Maybe at most I'd replace the oil pump for piece of mind. Great video

If you're not careful, it will eat anything aluminum very fast, weakening blocks, heads, brackets, etc... oven cleaner is a bad choice. So many better options out there.

Hey Sarah. I am really enjoying your work on the Ranger. I bought a 1994 Red Ranger new and had to retire it to a junk yard a little over a year ago. I would liked to have restored it but don’t have the skills, time, place, tools or money to do so. I hated to get rid of it and still feel bad about it. Watching you go through your Ranger is kind of like watching someone restore mine. I also appreciate the detail you go through for everything. Take care. I look forward to seeing your Ranger back on the road.

Sarah never change your efforts to make every thing look next to new is truly amazing. Keep up the great work oh and it was 65 in Massachusetts for two days but snowed today but will be back in the 60's by Weds go figure. I like green house gasses having 60 degree days in Feb. in Massachusetts for the win. As they say in these parts "if you don't like the weather wait 5 mins".

Hi Sarah , 3m makes a little rubber nobbly drill attachment that cleans surfaces more gently than a wire wheel . It's used for wheel and hub faces and leaves them sparkling clean with very little effort . M539 restorations uses them all the time and you can get them on Amazon. Hope this helps .

It almost looks like you have a GTR Midnight Purple tint.
That should be a thing, legendary car colors as hair colors. The punk rock kids could have the best liveries.
