- The part of the restoration that bothered me the most was trying to figure out how to cost effectively recondition this badly corroded transmission. Mission complete!

The speed at which you’re doing this restoration is impressive. Mach Sarah
I thought you had spilled oil down the front of your shorts, finally realized it was dye. Amazing job so far keeping a memory alive, both in the truck, and in your heart. Thanks Sarah.
Everything is so clean. The effort is totally worth it. You can know for sure you have the best Ranger Ford ever intended it to be.
I think this is my favorite channel on all of RUclips. This is so fun to watch.
Underpaid employee cylinder! I love it!
Please don’t apologize for taking time for yourself and to hang out with your friend.
I am from a country where women are light years away from fixing vehicles, hats 👒 off that to you. The details that you go into is incredible ✨️
I had a crappy day today. turns out I just needed a Sarah video to cheer me up. Thank you for that.
Yes we all enjoyed this vid.Nice work girl.Glad you got a little recharge time with Liz.
Yet again, a day that pretty much sucked from the moment the alarm clock woke me up was saved by another great video from Sarah - this was just what I needed right now. Thank you, Sarah!
Unbelievably cool to be able to restore something with family history like that.
Sarah’s the shit! I usually stop what I’m doing to watch her newest video when they drop.
The worst is over great job behind the scenes crew !
Nice progress! And that POR 15 is great stuff! Regards, Nico.
Why am I reminded of ZZ Top's "Legs" while watching this vid?
Oh yeah, I see it now.
Awesomely beautiful Sarah.
Glad that you got that bugaboo off your list so you can relax (somewhat)! Sometimes it helps when your besty visits you to give you the energy to get it done. You're doing an awesome job! 👍
I find this a nice fun car channel to watch. The filming is really nice and the work interesting. I just really enjoy it.
Nice to see Liz. The Ranger build is fun to watch.
I know nothing about mechanics or cars... your videos make these things interesting and love your perspective!
Sarah please get a work table to get yourself off the ground and have things at a workable height. A 4x4' 3/4" plywood, some 2x4"s , wood screws and castors plus an hour and your golden. They also make metal ones for when you are washing the larger parts inside/outside. Shoot they even make scissor adjustable work tables .
The Most Loved Ford Ranger in the World !!!!
Loving how the truck is turning out. It’s going to be immaculate.
Sarah, you totally amaze me you were so motivated Driven it’s just amazing you never give up and keep right on going I don’t know how you do it but thank you for giving me something to watch that I enjoy
First off, rad find on the contour. Had one in the UK and loved it for the power it had.
Second, fellow maintainer and appreciate the addiction and effort keeping these types of memories around with the vehicle.
I work for Habitat for Humanity! I build houses with Volunteers. Thanks for the mention. I really like your channel!
It's nice to see James May is doing well in Sarah's shop.
The IH travelall you showed is what I learned to drive on. Nice one and a lot of steel to protect learning kids.
This channel just works. The combination of the mission, the struggle is real, the attitude is hilarious, and somehow it all comes out very entertaining. I find myself rooting for you. Crazy. You go girl. You remind me of one of my daughters. Cerebral and not afraid to get her hands dirty. Curiously curious. So awesome.
@@flightlessboid there are others that do the same subject matter, it is the presenter that makes it work. Sarah just makes it work
R
Sarah, Outstanding your knowledge, independence, determination, humor and tenacity . Keep up the great work...
Outstanding work you are doing Sarah on this channel, just stumbled across your videos about 3 weeks ago and very impressed by all of them with your wit and goofyness. I retired from the USAF 5 years ago , love the work and details you put into your builds. I have been working on early to mid 60's MGB's for about 15 years alot of fun, keep up the great work.
That music @11:39 hit me right in the feels. Excellent video
Always a joy to watch your channel Sarah. Very relaxing. Bless.
i love how particular you are about cleaning
Found this on another channel and you may consider for cleaning large parts: Elkie Pressure Washer Sandblasting Kit - Wet Abrasive Sandblaster Attachment, with Replacement Nozzle Tips,Protect Glasses, 1/4 Inch Quick Disconnect, 5000 PSI.
Adding sand to a pressure washer for great cleaning and surface results
ALWAYS just the greatest channel & content creator 😊❤️
A Sarah-and-Liz collaboration! Awesome! :)
Sarah, never apologize for taking "me time" we all see how hard you work, it's OK to take a day or two to relax and have fun.
another great video, you make it all seem so easy, which lets me know how hard this project really is.
That Travelall and Contour SVT would make killer projects!
The days when there is a new video from Sarah it's like Xmas morning for me. 😉 seriously I really do look forward to and enjoy your videos when posted. They make my day/night whenever I get to watch them.
Same 🤣😃
same
Geez…laying it on pretty thick there simp 😂 😂.
Your doing an amazing job. Thanks for taking us along!👍
Your video is like I’m watching Netflix movie series. You’ll be wanting for more and can’t wait for the next episode.
Hi Sarah You are amazing I had a really bad day today and seeing you every evening makes my day so much better thank you and keep up the great work with love
Your videos are so fun to watch. Absolutely love your OCD and patience. You are a very impressive young lady.
Those headers look sweet. Can't wait to hear it.
Always quick with a one liner and a torque wrench!!
I had a 92' Ford Explorer Sport with a manual transmission. I hated that transfer solenoid......I replaced the switch and the solenoid twice in mine.....but that little truck was an absolute TANK in the snow!
The truck is going to be nice when you're done. You said it wouldn't be a daily driver and even if it was keep in mind that 4x4's generally should be put into 4 wheel drive once a month for at least a few miles, which will keep the seals from drying out on it and potentially leaking later on. Love what you're doing to it.
Thank you! I so appreciate you and what you do!
after seeing B is for build and goonzquad half ass their projects. It is therapeutic to see your love for a job well executed! No shortcuts equal no shortcomings = the Sarah -n- Tuned i love so much!
Have a nixe end to your week.
Sarah,if you want to stop that white powdery oxidization reappearing spray the aluminum with CRC 5.56 or some diesel.
In the 90’s we used to build exhaust systems for the essex 3.0 and 3.4L with 63mm after the headers a freeflow 63 mm centre box and the just before the rear outlet we would reduce the diameter to 50mm and add in a 50 mm freeflow box and then finally a 63 tailpipe. The effect of the 50mm was like a venturi that scavenged the pipe further back. It also kept the noise levels close to spec. the power delivery was way smoother and better fuel consumption as well.
That hdd seeking sound on the sarah.exe is gold
That's a mighty purty transmission you got there lady.
Used to window shop in a pick-a-part junkyard before back when I was still in NZ. Went there so many times the staff knows me. lol
nothing better than finding the part that will "complete" your project car.
Wow it’s really coming together. Perfect restoration! Regarding the electroplating. It’s the dichromate gold color that is wearing away. The parts are still zinc plated beneath the dichromate.
I owned a 1983 Ford Ranger 4x4. Loved that truck and miss it to this day. So thank you for sharing this as it makes me remember mine!
You are driven ! What a fine job You're doing. Keep up the great work, thanks for sharing this restoration with us.
You girl are hilarious! The seagull lax stunt was hilarious! Hooray for the mid 2000s
I like the sound the simple green bottle makes too.
Hi Sarah, it's always my pleasure to get an eye on your videos. You're doing a perfect work on this Ranger renovation and it will surely be better than when it was new from the factory !! I can see your skills to work as a talented professional mecanic. I'm French and a Jeep fan/owner, but also a USA fan being there several times/trips. Hello from France Sarah. Please never stop to entertain us :)
Love the "Title" at the start.
Lots of content == fun times! I am glad you got to take a little break and spend some time with Mick Beth. Work/Life balance!
Hey Sarah, i’m glad the worst is over that’s always a great feeling. You might’ve seen this when the new tundra was having turbo issues they were removing the cab to work on them. You’re probably planted to do so but before you put the cab on turn the engine over by hand with the transmission in gear and a neutral you can never be too careful. Have a great one as always🐧🐧🐧👍
Your attention to detail motivates me to NOT half ass updates on my cars....👍
As always, a great video. Just one small point - speaking as a Brit, thank you for the bit at 10:15 explaining what model this was in the UK. That was a nice touch, thanks.
Thank you Sarah!
You always say " I'm not doing a show truck" your Gram would be proud of your attention to detail. Have owned a few old Broncos and ford pickups you are doing American automotive proud. Also can't wait for more on the Rally car and your Audi :)
This is coming together so nicely now, great job. Looking forward to seeing you take it for a drive
Every nut and bolt is what it should be and where it should be. Showroom floor quality restoration! 👌
A quick side note: while POR-15 looks pretty and can do great on prepped and clean surfaces, it can't hold a candle to oil-based corrosion protection ("oil spray") up here in the rust belt. All "cured" undercoat is subject to damage by flinging road debris, and any breach invites salt and calcium brine to inhabit the area between the coating and the metal. If said undercoat was applied to dirt, oil, grease, wet rust, etc., corrosion occurs at an exponential rate compared to leaving the surface bare.
Really glad when you said you wanted it to sound like stock instead of some loud obnoxious brappy sounding six cylinder........Full steam ahead on the Ranger build.
Always love watching your videos! Thanks!
It is going to be beautiful when you are done Sarah keep at it. 😁
Thank you Sarah for the very entertaining videos, you are very funny and educational!
This has been a fun series to watch! An enormous job and its coming out great.
5:42 Do not skip lunch, it is an important meal, also have a siesta
I had a black Mondeo ST200 for a while. Very fun and peppy 2.5l V6 which sounded glorious 👌
The Ranger is looking super sharp.
Awesome video Sarah.
Love the bow on the transmission as it is being installed @ 11:28. A thing Only Sarah would do!!!
Great job 👏 Sarah
A great tip for using an engine hoist. Instead of pumping to raise the empty arm, you can just lift the arm itself up for a couple of seconds and it will stay most of the way up without pumping :D Great progress again.
@上野アンナ Definitely
Need that Int'l Travelall. Great Video, Sarah!
I always wonder if you ever got dirty lol so now that I was able to see it...I feel better lol
Hey smudges, nice to see you taking a little time off for bad behavior with Liz! Enjoyed the waltz with the transmission and the safari hunt with Charlie. Well, I guess that does it for the aluminium housing restoration! It looks dope along with the bright new headers. You look splendid in the bright sunshine, too.
Sarah Grams Ranger restoration project is looking so cool. I love your attention to all the detail . I have commented before i have Two Rangers in my garage , love these little trucks
Your outfit is amazing and it's coming out superb your project I can't wait till it's done you always amaze me.
Sarah, you're making me want to get another Ranger. I've had two and loved them both.
Ooh....more expert wiring?! You astound me when you rewire something! Bravo!
Realy like your 94 ford ranger videos
Don't be so hard on yourself live your life I enjoy the detail and thought put in to your videos as it is so forgetting a part no big deal or hanging with family I can't be mad I wish I could do the same I work in an office all day
You can get those brass brushes for drills, grinders, dremels, you names it. They are worth their cost for removing old gaskets.
Just as informative as your very first. Loved watching these over the years!
Coming together nicely 👍
Accoutrement. Great word!
The best way to install headers!
Your jack handle matches your lift arms. That’s kinda awesome =D
Your attention to detail is right up my street . I've just watched a laser rust remover which was one of the most satisfying things I've ever seen and convinced me light sabres are almost here I just know it ... 😅 .
I'm sitting back just taking all this in, 👌
I like the way that your t-shirt and Liz's hair matched the emerald color of the truck. 👍 👍
Dirty girl ! I think I've finally figured out what is so attractive about your builds, besides the obvious. Your builds have the look and feel of high end models . Which aren't cheep, a artist type of work. Some models you even have to assemble the chain of a motorcycle, every link and pin, you should try it.
Sooo much content
Alway fab to watch
No mechanic in the world looks this gorgeous and is so talented
UR Quattro you say 👌👌👌
