I've been eyeing Centennial Case for a minute now but never heard anyone talk about it, so thanks for being the first and only person and therefore selling me on it 😂
This is honestly my favourite gaming-centered channel (and I follow far too many). Thank you for your hard work, skungman, you've done great this past year.
I think, personally, SE needs to continue with these weird game ideas but also support them better. Less of that nft shit though and bad microtransactions.

Condolences to your loss, Thor. With that said, with the year over with, I'd like to say that I look forward to each video you plop out. I enjoy the humor you inject to each subject you put time into. I seriously get a kick when I see a new video get released.
Fantastic and fascinating video as always! I had no idea Square Enix was so weird this year, and it was a lot of fun to hear about it~ I love the way you talk about and appreciate games. It’s so unique and pleasant. I didn’t play any of these, but now I have a fondness for them anyway~ I did play Harvestella this year and tbh I’ve been kind of obsessed with it. The story has no right to be as interesting as it is, and the environments it creates are so cozy and interesting and breathtaking, and I love the characters a lot too! I wish I could articulate my love for it as well as you do in your videos, but hearing you talk about games has helped me let go of the idea that I need to dislike a game cause other people do. I love being able to embrace a bigger variety of games thanks to you~
Before watching the video, they released Strangers of Paradise this year, automatically making it one of the best years in the company's history all things considered.
Sorry to hear about your loss this year, but I always enjoy your videos no matter what topic you're covering! Even things that would normally be completely alien or unappealing to me.
Thanks for a great year of awesome videos. I appreciate your casual hang-out style narration combined with the musical and graphical flourishes that really set you apart. I also love how you pick some crazy games and just go for it. I know when you put out a video that there is going to be SOMETHING interesting in there, even if the subject is something I never would have sought out on my own. Sorry to hear about the personal loss and struggles you went through this year. I hope things go well for you and you continue to get to do the things you really want to in the future.
You rock. Love the vids, there's no one quite like you, and I think that's great, I'm glad you're embracing it. Certainly introduced me to some neat things I woulda never come across otherwise.
Fuck yeah, thank you for a good year, man. I always feel a creator makes their best work when they care about the project they're working on, so please, make videos about what YOU wanna talk about. You'll get the views by being fun to watch and listen to, and your editing has been an inspiration for me especially. Can't wait to see what you'll make, Mr. High Heels
It's amazing how you can glue my eyes to the screen by talking about games I don't even know about yet I enjoy learning about them through your content. Keep up the good work and happy new year!
This year I played some amazing games I had missed out on when new. I played Contact ds (it’s awesome), I played that guardians of the galaxy game (adored the story, liked the gameplay fine enough) played some ratchet and clank ps5, played zanki zero and gravity rush 2 ps4. Played some front mission 3 ps1 (I never played it back in the day, it’s amazing) played triangle strategy switch (it’s also pretty swell) and I played puppeteer ps3. I’m playing tales of arise now and really enjoying it. It was a good year to play old games I had always wanted to check out, and new ones too. I hope everyone had a good year, and is ready for the next one. Kudos for all the great content, too. This channel’s helped me find so many cool things right up my alley, so to speak. Looking forward to more, always.
I love your videos. Definitely one of the things I always look forward to in RUclips. It fills the vintage Japanese game culture itch I always like to scratch. Keep em coming. Happy Holidays.
Corey Balrog has coined the term "Wide Linear" for the exact type of linear design you describe near the end. Games with a few different types of traveseral, offshoots with additional content and collectibles but ultimately still a linear experience.
It's kind of the direction that PlayStation AAA releases seem to be going. Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us Part 2, Corey Balrog's God of War and it's sequel Ragnarok. Marvel's Spider-Man was just open world but even it seemed more restrained in scope to me.
I sincerely love the intent behind your thumbnail compositions, Thor, and I’m glad you pointed it out. I’m sorry about your loss, and you’ve done so much great work this year despite of the hardship. I hope 2023 treats you incredibly well, buddy
Every new Thor video feels like a national holiday. I get to discover new titles I never would have known about otherwise, all while a spiffy guide man who wears Sonic bling eloquently tells me about said titles. It gives me the same feeling as going through my Nintendo Power magazines as a kid-- like this nostalgic sense of discovery, you know? Nobody else scratches that itch quite like the High Heel Man does. Great work as always, man. 👍 Whether it's long vids or short vids, I will always love your content.
I love these videos you've been making. Most RUclipsrs talk about gameplay and memes but rarely have much say about the scenery or art style in ways you do... and your use of 3D graphics gives me a warm feeling of days when everyone was still making wildly diverse takes on what makes a good-looking game.
you make the most unique content on ytp and I cant get enough of it. I’m sorry for your loss with your dad. hope you’re having a happy holidays and I can’t wait for what you put out In the new year
Thor, thanks for the wonderful year + wonderful videos. Whenever you come out with a new vidya, my partner and I always drop everything to give it a watch LOL! Sorry to hear this was a rough year both personally and creatively. I hope 2023 is easier on you and you enjoy it! Wishing you all the best and a great year to come. Thanks for all the work you do :)
Really love your videos and the amount of depth you put in them. Thank you very much for making them. I’m sorry you had to go through loosing your dad at such a young age, I can’t imagine how hard that must have been. I hope you can process it healthily and have a better year in 2023. it's good to hear you're getting away from some obligation for these videos. As you say, it's nice that you gave this stuff a shot, but equally nice that you recognize it as a bit too much. Keep enjoying yourself first and foremost
Another excellent year of videos. I really appreciate your work and how you're more than willing to check out stuff that might be hella old or way out of the public eye. Low key picked up Stranger of Paradise solely based on your video and absolutely loved it. Really sad to hear about your father; my mother passed away a week ago and it's something that keeps fucking with me at unexpected time.
Great video as always with that hazy style to savour. Hope 2023 is a brighter year for you. Surprised that Signalis wasn't mentioned though. Definitely top 3 game of the year for me and full of THH vibes throughout. For sure play that if you haven't yet.
This is my comfort video. I watch it like daily. I just love the way he talks about AA games with such sincerity and it just activates something in my brain as someone who also finds a lot joy in the budget games this gen like Kena, Scarlet Nexus, Valk Ely, Star Ocean, etc.
I wish I had extra cash to throw at your Patreon because I genuinely love your videos a ton. They always get me in a good mood - your genuine expression shines through your content in a very fresh way. Keep making awesome shit you pretty boy! And have a peaceful chrissy.
Even if you aren't super satisfied with how your videos this year turned out, please know that I always enjoyed your videos, this year especially, and I'll be there for the next one! Thanks a million, and cheers!
Hmm, I should probably acquire Producer 2021 For real though, I am happy you have been doing these. Even if it might take a small bit to watch it when a new one comes out, you always bring interesting views on things. I can only hope you are holding up okay, and that this year will be a good one for ya.
Great video as always! I am glad Square Enix is releasing a variety of games as of late and I need Valkyrie real bad now looks alsot of fun. Also Square Rampo is also a mighty need.
What a good year, maybe not for the company's sales but I loved The Centennial Case and Live a Live. Also played Neo this year, which is a genuinely amazing title.
NeoTWEWY is a future cult classic. That game should've sold so much better than it did. I wish they would add some DLC or make a sequel soon because I just wanted to play that game forever.
Thorhighheels, I want to be your friend, I want to watch anything you put out. Seriously, man. Happy holidays and may your 2023 be really, really good.
Not to speak for everyone, but *everyone* that watches your channel regularly will happily watch literally anything you decide to make a video about. I'm all about live action visual novel/FMV games, we need more of that. So far the only things close to it I've played (that I can remember off the top of my head) is like 428 Shibuya Scramble or Root Letter (remake).
RIP to your dad. i luv ur videos sooo so much i always watch them on ket. also watch when im sober too im just saying theyre rly great on ket. your dad loves u forever. peace...
You're like, one of my Biggest artistic inspirations in years, not even the least bit kidding, your style is impetuous. Sorry to hear about that shit with your dad and I hope you have a better 2023.
I'm sure you already know it but your videos are killer stuff, so no sweat putting out smaller ones this year. Sincerely hope this year treats you better than the last.
Kinda wish Square Enix had their JRPG bias much sooner when they had the chance to promote NEO TWEWY alongside Strangers of Paradise and Guardians of the Galaxy.... In a LIVE convention for the first time. But HEY, Square gonna Squeel. XP
WAKE UP BABE NEW THH VIDEO IS UP jokes aside it's been a good year with your vids. love to support you and your craft on the ol' patrone. keep up the great work! also the live alive segment makes me want to try it out, what a nice vibe it has.
Never played a Valkyrie game before, but from the demo I was hooked honestly. Great Ps2/Ps3 nostalgia, stellar atmospheric soundtrack and gripping gameplay, I'll definitely give it a shot soon, great to hear you liked it.
Guardians of the Galaxy was actually very good. Let me preface by saying I do not give a single fuck about Marvel properties, but the developers of Deus Ex HR and MD sitting behind the wheel on this one instilled me with enough confidence to give it a go. Definitely a sleeper hit of 2022 in my book.
I could listen to you talk about whatever niche topic invaded your brainspace for days on end, my dude. You've got this chillax vibe that's just intoxicating and makes me forget about the evil world outside for just a moment.
I do need to checkout Valkyrie Elysium and Diofield (when it gets update with new difficulty modes). Valkyrie also got some new difficulties in update i think, i prefer to chip away at these kind of games on harder modes so it sounds like a cool time. Valkyrie Profile 1&2 i really liked at the time, mostly for level design and atmosphere. Like - dungeons of VP1&2 was much deeper then most JRPGs with some clever jump puzzles and normal puzzles.
Yet another sharply-focused Thorhighheels vid that definitely had a clear vision going on. 😆 Enjoyed your rambling year-end thoughts, and condolences to you and your family on losing your Dad. May give Valk E a shot now.
I love your vibe, man. We both have the same opinions and tastes most of the time. When you release a new video, I will always try to have time during my day to give it the proper attention. I lost my dad too and it sucks. But yay, cat! And he's a gorgeous furry baby! So, I wish some good holiday rest and can't wait for what you will bring next year. Be safe and well, mate🖤

as i say near the end, gonna switch things up a bit next year. the past 5 or so months worth of videos, including this one, are the result of several smaller video ideas compiling. mainly due to new game releases that i been trying to keep up with, messing up what lil scheduling i have, and this weird goal that i fell into of vids needing to be a certain size, or a have a certain level of 'comprehensiveness' whatever that even really means, and a couple experiments in seeing what might or might not appeal to the algo which seems to be, as i thought, entirely random, so that was a lil pointless in retrospect lol.

Great video as always with that hazy style to savour. Hope 2023 is a brighter year for you. Surprised that Signalis wasn't mentioned though. Definitely top 3 game of the year for me and full of THH vibes throughout. For sure play that if you haven't yet.
sorry for your loss, it gets a little better with time. my cat helped me through the worst of life. thanks for the great vids.
Hmm, I should probably acquire Producer 2021
For real though, I am happy you have been doing these. Even if it might take a small bit to watch it when a new one comes out, you always bring interesting views on things. I can only hope you are holding up okay, and that this year will be a good one for ya.
Imagine a thor high heels review of twin peaks season 3 just because it has VIBE
Anyone have any idea what the song in the PSX advertisement 24:28 is? Would love to hear the entire thing! Thank you!
To answer my own question, turns out it's called "The Sky Was High Above" by Takumi Iwasaki and only ever used in the advertisement (?)
Great video as always! I am glad Square Enix is releasing a variety of games as of late and I need Valkyrie real bad now looks alsot of fun. Also Square Rampo is also a mighty need.
That was such a good video to cap off the year. Looking forward to seeing your work in 2023 ! B)
I'm glad I'm not the only cat dad who acts this way haha
learning about the blitz that was Squaresoft's releases from 1998-2000 brought me back to this video. thank you for the amazing reference THH
Amazing year of videos and music Thor, thank you!! Excited for another year of Thor goodness
hell yeah new thor gimme those H E E L S
you're my biggest artistic inspo man, no contest.
another banger video.
Thor, I love your editing and writing. You've really come into your own
Thorhighheels, I want to be your friend, I want to watch anything you put out. Seriously, man. Happy holidays and may your 2023 be really, really good.
Why do you always sound like you are going to burst out in hysterical laughter at any second?
Always happy to see a new video pop up, whatever it may be. Stay strong, Thor!
XP
You’re the goat can’t wait for this year of vids and tunes
It's always a good day when THH uploads
Great vid as always, I love your content to death and just binge a solid few of your vids anytime a new one releases, fuck yeah
perpetually jealous of your absolutely impeccable collection of fonts omfg
WAKE UP BABE NEW THH VIDEO IS UP
jokes aside it's been a good year with your vids. love to support you and your craft on the ol' patrone. keep up the great work!
also the live alive segment makes me want to try it out, what a nice vibe it has.
I thoroughly enjoy your humorous and quirky take on video games.
👍🏻
It’s always a good day when Thor releases a new video
Never played a Valkyrie game before, but from the demo I was hooked honestly. Great Ps2/Ps3 nostalgia, stellar atmospheric soundtrack and gripping gameplay, I'll definitely give it a shot soon, great to hear you liked it.
Guardians of the Galaxy was actually very good. Let me preface by saying I do not give a single fuck about Marvel properties, but the developers of Deus Ex HR and MD sitting behind the wheel on this one instilled me with enough confidence to give it a go.
Definitely a sleeper hit of 2022 in my book.
Producer 2021 Game of the Year fm, Not even joking!
41:49 isn't that animation from xenoblade 1 for Sharla? and VA sounds similar as well lol
This was fun! Good luck and all the best for 2023.
I could listen to you talk about whatever niche topic invaded your brainspace for days on end, my dude. You've got this chillax vibe that's just intoxicating and makes me forget about the evil world outside for just a moment.
Genuinely did not expect “El Sonidito” to show up in my game awards but here we are.
In my own pathetic way, working and waging through my 20s, your channel makes life worth it for me.
RIP your Dad, something tells me he's definitely laughing his ass off in the afterlife at being outed as a furry.
Really sorry for your loss man. Love the content as always, hopefully this year treats you better.
I was just thinking about your videos yesterday and today you upload. You are literally a Christmas gift.
Yet another sharply-focused Thorhighheels vid that definitely had a clear vision going on. 😆
Enjoyed your rambling year-end thoughts, and condolences to you and your family on losing your Dad. May give Valk E a shot now.
Thor HighHeels talking Square Enix, all is right with the world.
