The club's identity has gone and Bohely are Clearlake like their 🇺🇸 counterparts at Man United have come in and installed a culture of failure to compete for silverware, signing players on stupid billion-pound contracts to which they are not entitled to, nor deserve. The recruitment inadequate and forcefully putting a gun to the heads of young academy players, some of whom have broken through the ranks to join the senior team to make financial profits from. Chelsea are not a "big Premier League club" like they used to be, they are behaving like a small club and they are getting beaten up by everyone this season. Celtic are a week ahead in terms of Pre-season. That was Celtic's 5th game of Pre-season and it was Chelsea's 2nd. Might not sound like much but at this level of football that extra week of pre-season can make a big difference. I'm a Celtic fan but I am under absolutely no illusions that we could repeat that result in a competitive game a month or two from now. We also beat Man City 4-3 the other night but I think that may have been City's first game back this summer. Modern fans read way too much in to these games when they are basically just extended training sessions.

Enzo Maresca inherited a squad that was drilled with no tactics. There is potential with this squad but they’re not tactically switched on yet. This is going to take some time.
I may agree that Chelsea doesn't have a team yet, but Maresca is just building his team, and teams are normarmally built through playing together. Some of these guys played together for the first time. I plead to disagree with Andy on Chelsea finishing outside the top six after 2 pre-season games with disjointed teams. The games I've seen didn't look too bad because, despite the loss to Celtic, they created a lot of chances, even without a complete team. I believe Chelsea will be in the conversations for top four.
Results aside, I watched the Celtic games in the states and the fans have a lot to be excited about. They look sharp, direct and play some lovely one touch football. They’ll never be able to attract ready made footballers CL level so need to make their own way in Europe like Copenhagen etc. Man City will kick on this season again, I’d worry for Chelsea though

I’m just fed up with these new owners, they need to sack off these bottom rate sporting directors asap. You pick bottom rate people to run your club, you get bottom rate results, even if you have 2 of the tw*ts. This £150,000 wage cap means we’ll never achieve big things under this ownership, we won’t sign star players, maybe we’ll getting lucky like with palmer and 1 or 2 will be top quality but the rest will always be underwhelming. They’re asset stripping our club for the sake of ‘FFP’ when Roman wrote off all our debt. They have no respect for cobham or our academy which is why NB left after all those years. Our days of being an elite football club are over, it’s sad but all good things come to pass. I plead to disagree with Andy on Chelsea finishing outside the top six after 2 pre-season games with disjointed teams. The games I've seen didn't look too bad because, despite the loss to Celtic, they created a lot of chances, even without a complete team. I believe Chelsea will be in the conversations for top four.

Results aside, I watched the Celtic games in the states and the fans have a lot to be excited about. They look sharp, direct and play some lovely one touch football. They’ll never be able to attract ready made footballers CL level so need to make their own way in Europe like Copenhagen etc. Man City will kick on this season again, I’d worry for Chelsea though
