I think the Saudi League bought the transfer fees down. PSG and Barca were the first clubs to go around spending 100m on players. Then the Prem and other teams followed suit then Saudi came in and matched those prices with higher wages. This season Saudi said were not spending stupid money anymore and the prices were more reasonable this year with the few exeptions than they have been in years, long before the Saudis came along
id say its a correction of over inflated investment going in to the game. as soon as a footballer was 100m you knew this correction would be coming because it wasnt sustainable. i feel its only the start aswell.

Pretty sad that someone as insignificant as me knows more about a recession than these two when both should know much better than me since they are in the world of big business.
A business can absolutely fire you for whatever reason but not if it’s a state run or semi state run business it can’t, then it’s a different story, you cannot touch those employees.
