    Just had to wait for almost 7 weeks for my new ics switch and cable so these kinds of innovations are appreciated definitely I've decided to start buying parts double of everything that are most likely to wear out fast because of the long wait I'm due for a new one in March so then I will finally have a backup so I'm not stuck in the bed for a month and a half while waiting for replacement parts

    I was due to put money on the table for a Quantum Edge this week, Feeling lucky I came across your vid's on the weekend before I was committed. Your look under hood put paid to that. Been using Quickie chairs, powered Mid wheel and manual for years now but time for change. Currently thinking M3 or M5 if I can look past the sea of plastic. Great content.

      How was your experience with Quickie power chairs?. My last was a S-626. Curious. Once insurance okays it, I will be a Permobil M-VS owner.

    Dan you are an amazing resourse . Thank you for the time and effort. The major manufactures can solve all these problems but just make is so difficult instead. We solved the flutter issue on a friends chair by chopping welding and using 10 degrees of negative chamber on the front wheels.
    You are the McGyver of powerchair work arounds. Keep going!

    I think a core charge is a good idea. You need a video of a before/after of a modified chair on a selected course.

    I think that a standard shim washer would work as well as a wave washer. might be easier to get than the wave washer.

    I have a question for you. My son has a permobil tilt in space powerchair. The actuator that tilts and recline keeps making a grinding noise. Then gets stuck..then works..Is there a way to manually fix it when it gets stuck in any posistion??? I called permobil...and they told me to contact the mobility place that sold me the chair..help

    Do you know does that type clutch fit to older models which are originally equipped with plastic washer?

    • @TotallyNormal-
      @TotallyNormal-  2 месяца назад +1

      depending on the model of chair, the older style anti flutter clutches with the black plastic cap cant always be converted to the newer style.. BUT i kinda like older plastic ones.. they're adjustable and been working reliably on my C300!

      2016 M400 3g. Do you have a video or exploded view of this construction? I can't found a one.

      page 43 of this manual shows the 'friction brakes' or anti flutter mechanisms with the black plastic adjustment washers (its a different model of chair but they are the same - this older manual is the only one i could find that covers them in detail)
      fyi - DO NOT use the torque specs listed on the adjustment nut!! this has to be done by feel, and is a bit of a process to get correct...
      brokenwheelchairs.com/resources/Permobil_PDF/Permobil-F3-service-manual.pdf
      this video shows setting them up - ruclips.net/video/qRiHS57TCEI/видео.htmlfeature=shared&t=430
      skip to 7 :10 in the video for how it works :^)
      also - the chair in the video wasnt designed for this version of friction brake - hence it sticking out of the housing and not being able to install the caps
